Can I remove the star? One Star Rating Is Actually a Negative One Star!

I received an initial email alerting me that my driver's license information had been stolen. However, several weeks later, I received a second email that caused me to panic as it revealed that all of my personal details, such as my bank account, place of employment, age, address, phone number, and salary, had been breached. This breach was a result of a loan document being compromised.
It was quite an inconvenience for me to have to travel over an hour to the nearest agency from my rural home in order to replace my license.
At first, I thought of requesting a reimbursement, but upon reaching the bottom of the application, I noticed that I needed to tick certain boxes in order to claim it. However, I decided to abandon the claim as the first box ticked would absolve them of any responsibility since they agreed to only refund payment of $38.20. Currently, I am part of a class action lawsuit against them and I am hopeful to receive much more than just $38.20 NZD in compensation.
I was asked to provide my bank account details in the second box, which I found concerning. I didn't want to risk giving away more personal information that could potentially be stolen. This is unacceptable.
I regularly visit their news page for any updates, but unfortunately, there seems to be no new information. It appears as though they have resolved the issue and are not focused on keeping their customers informed. However, the tone of their emails lacked sincerity and empathy towards affected customers. Additionally, they have not made any updates to their website's security pages. Quoted:
'Your security is always our priority. Check out how we keep your information secure and learn how to protect yourself from the latest scams.'
How We Protect You - See how we manage and protect your personal information.'
'Keeping your personal and financial information safe is a full-time job. Read all about the steps we take to safeguard your information and your account.'
and more... it's a JOKE!
Recently, my mother received a letter notifying her of the loss of her documents, which happened four months after the breach. In late 2020, she requested me to email Gem Finance to cancel her credit card. However, they only responded in the middle of 2021. To make matters worse, my mother still received credit card statements for an account that was supposed to be closed a year earlier, at the end of 2021.
As I am repaying a loan, I find myself frequently tempted to skip payments due to the inadequate support and lack of commitment shown towards the over 8 million customers whose privacy was breached and compromised.
I hope for a successful outcome in obtaining compensation for the significant billions of dollars it would require for a payout, including the additional expense of $4 million for license reimbursements.
The only form of support available is circumventing their incompetence and reluctance to handle angry and frustrated customers by providing voluntary ID Care.
It's concerning when a lending company lacks star ratings and honesty. It's hard to understand why anyone would want to open an account with them. How can they continue to do business this way?

Most incompetent company i've ever come across

I closed out a loan with them a long time ago, I had my vehicle as collateral.

I went to sell my car yesterday and was told it still had finance on it. So for the past 2 days i've been on hold for 6 hours and counting, transferred to 4 different departments, hung up on 3 times. I have been told my account is closed and for some reason no one can tell me why the hell my vehicle is still in their system and they are telling me they can't remove it.

I'm losing out on money because of these incompetent morons. 100% do not recommend any of their services.

Will be contacting the ombudsman tomorrow.

Utter incompetence

The data breach announced on March 27, 2023 is inexcusable in itself but Latitude's response has made it even worse. I contacted them immediately, requesting information as to which of my identity documents had been compromised. 3 weeks later they still have not responded. Obviously their promised reply within 2 business days will be impossible, given that so many customers have been affected (so why promise that in the first place?) but 3 weeks? In any case they should have been upfront about what personal data they failed to protect, rather than make me ask for it. Latitude is a disgrace!
Edit April 26: It gets worse. The staff either can't read, are being deliberately obstructive or simply aren't the sharpest tools in the shed. After 26 days I got a boilerplate answer saying customers will be notified about the details of their comprised documents by email. I responded 3 times that it was precisely this information that I had not received. I am still none the wiser. Talk about incompetence.

False info provided after cyberattack

I am disgusted with how this organisation is handling the recent cyberattack. They sent me an email 8 days after event to tell me my information had been taken. Terrible. In the email they said
a) dedicated contact centre was setup
b) reimbursed to replace drivers license

Both points are false.

1 I called the so-called dedicated contact centre, to be told they were not interested in my ref id on my email or will they give me a ticket ID/Case number ID. What sorta shonky contact centre are they running?

2 Drivers license reimbursement. There is already people saying they received nothing. In fact we should of received a coupon number to replace license or advance payment. Reimbursement is not happening.

3 They failed to share the information that was taken (as after all many of us had used them a while back). So we can not even assess the risk correctly.

This event should never of happened in first place. They were suppose to reputable like a bank. As it happened it shows what shonky business they are in fact, and Apple use them as the finance company in Australia and NZ. Ridiculous by Apple.

I also remember when I finished my loan, they didnot record the last payment so it impacted my credit score for years without me knowing.

The customer support team doesn't exist

According to Latitude Financial's web page there is 24hrs support team for international travaller. However in reality the 24hrs customer support service doesn't exist. Best of luck for anyone that is overseas and trying to reach out to the support team.

Absolutely useless

Absolutely useless, timewaster of a service, they even make it impossible to log into your account. I have good credit with them, they just have useless customer service and poor sales values. Rubbish.

Customer support total disappointment

The customer support was a total disappointment.

The person hung up on us after being on a 33min call trying to resolve a GoMasterCard issue. Our time is as valuable as their employees. We lost time and energy only to be hung up on and never called back!

So disappointing!

No integrity

No integrity, false information provided and mis-managed loan. Unresolved:
A) Taking money out of my account when not permitted (money hasn't been returned yet)
B) Link to my loan portal advises I don't have permission to access my loan account.
C) Verbal and system confirmation that direct debit was ceased ( it hasn't been so I've requested bank to block debit).
D) Promised verbal contact by 2 x supervisors which hasn't been honoured.
E) Old loan account hasn't been closed off.

The most shocking experience I've ever had. Just waiting so I can make a complaint to the Obudsman.

Terrible business with incompetent service

Absolutely incompetent service. Latitude fails to get even the basics right, and they don't deserve your business. I've had to try multiple times to get a card reissued, and each time the service operators just ask for a new form or for me to wait for some arbitrary thing.

Their new digital Service Centre doesn't function properly... it fails to take payments! The most basic thing a finance company should be able to do. I have paid via BPay, and those payments show on the account. BUT the Service Centre says the account is overdue... and it most certainly isn't.

Lies and Distraction

Latitude Financial/ CreditLine card was cancelled without my permission, although they insist I did. I've had 2 loan/borrowing structures with them over the years. Both paid out by myself well before the end of the 24 month period/s agreed to.
I've been trying for several months to have someone send evidence of my cancelling, but am met with lies and distraction tactics.
