Everything went very smoothly. Perfect support from the Strand team. I requested a quotation, details were forwarded with a payment link, as requested, and arrangements were made for delivery very promptly. The prices were good for ordering the entire package of parts, when considering the additional cost and concerns about reliability and warranty... if the good were ordered direct from abroad or through an overseas stockist. LCE Strand tends to be my go-to supplier. However it would be good if they stocked the entire range of Leophoto parts, e.g. L-brackets, Nodal rails... This order had been for a new tripod set-up.

I had an issue with my camera (the battery had swollen and was stuck inside) which would have taken months and costed me several hundred pounds if repaired by the camera manufacturer. I tried my luck and went to LCE Strand and the guys there were incredibly nice and efficient and managed to fix the issue in 5 min for free. While waiting, I browsed the lenses they had in store and found a like-new Fujinon 35mm F2 for £240 (bargain!) which I decided to buy.

I highly recommend LCE to any photographer or videographer because of the incredibly competent and efficient staff. I will keep buying my gear from them for sure.

I bought a Leica lens remotely from LCE Strand. Robin replied promptly to my questions over email. Apart from clarifications about condition, he also provided possibilities for having the lens calibrated for my camera (if needed) and also gave reassurance regarding a possible return (if needed). I bought the lens sight unseen, something I'd ordinarily avoid for something quite so expensive. The lens was promptly shipped, its condition was exactly as I expected, and it turned out not to need calibration for my camera. I'm a regular LCE customer in my region and this was also a good experience from a distance.

please think twice before taking camera equipment in here on the secondhand side they will give you next to nothing for it then sell it and make a huge profit like they done to me I was shocked when i saw the cameras for sale on there website at the prices they were asking talk about ripping people off the 5 cameras that taken in they only had to sell one then they would have got their money back the other 4 will be all profit and a big one at that me and my dad use to go in here on Saturdays in the 80s and 90s also part into 2000 they will not be getting any more cameras from my dad’s collection.
