It was the Wednesday before Christmas that I finally made my decision. The gift that I most wanted from my dad was a replacement for the Squirt P4 that had been my companion during my sailing and camping days in Gibraltar. I had used that tool on so many occasions! Unfortunately the decision came too late for my dad, who had already purchased a fake cigarette for me in an attempt to stop me smoking. I was more than a little upset! The website boasted that the tool would be despatched and delivered in between 24 and 48 hours. I did not dare hols my breath! Within an hour of placing my order I received an email informing me that my order had been dispatched and it arrived, along with the words of the messenger above, on Christmas Eve morning. excellent product - leatherman squirt ps4 - have only had it a week and it has been put to use numerous times already. Solid pliers and really high quality overall. Perfect as a keyring - weighs only 56 grams. cheapest online price was leathermans and they engraved it free of charge and sent it to me within 5 days of ordering for free. 5 star service for a 5 star product - highly recommended

I have had my Leatherman for years now and have had no problems besides breaking off the tip of one of the pliers. They are tough though. Not made to pry with. Damn neighbor messed it up for me. As long as you use them like you are supposed to, it will last forever.

To be able to personalise and deliver products the next day at a lower price than other suppliers is simply amazing.

I bought my first Leatherman while in Bosnia in 1995, it was the simple original. I've still got it! It's been back to Oregan be fixed twice in that time, all it costs is the postage thanks to their 25 year guarantee.

I upgraded to the Wave in 2007 while in Afghanistan and while I'll always have a soft-spot for the original, the Wave approaches perfection!

I love Leatherman!

Edit: I still have the original but its now out of warranty, wonder if they'd still fix it if I sent it back?

Also, has anyone else ever owned one long enough for it to go out of warranty?

I probably have purchased 10-15 Leatherman knives, and have been completely satisfied with every one. I have one in my car, one in each briefcase, two on my boat, one on my keychain, have given three as gifts to soldiers going to Afghanistan. The knives come very sharp, and the steel from which they are made re-sharpen superbly. The engineering, design, and construction are superb. Qualification: the tools are never as robust as a purpose-designed tool; they are convenience, portable tools. If you have a big screw to remove which has been rusted over years, you need a proper screwdriver, and so on. That being said, there are no better multi-tools than Leatherman's.
