Ordered a summer house during the lockdown period, was very happy when I was advised that the delivery time was bought forward,as had already prepared my concrete base. Delivery day arrived and the summer house was erected in about 2 hours very professionally I will add. The summer house was very well made,I go along with the old adage that you get what you pay for. Good service
Despite our enquires being done during the Covid restrictions and the offices being closed to the general public, we were able to get a clear idea of what the shed would look like, it's colour, costing and realistic delivery date.
The manufacturers in Yorkshire were particularly helpful with us making several amendments to the design and invariably the cost, all done in a cheerful and efficient manner.
The summer house was delivered a little earlier than projected, the fitters were very pleasant, competent and answered any queries we had, they even left a tin of top up paint!
All in all, an excellent product efficiently dealt with despite Covid and supply problems. I would certainly recommend 1st Choice and their provider Phoenix Garden Buildings Ltd.

Great product, great price, great service
My experience with 1st choice leisure buildings was amazing. I got a great shed at a great price. Once I'd ordered, the communication was excellent – they sent through a drawing to make sure what I'd ordered was correct, and they let me know when it would be delivered and installed. I was a bit worried because my house is on a steep hill, and the delivery guys would have to bring everything up from the road - they did without any hassle or complaint. They built the shed very quickly, and the finish was superb. The guys gave some advice about trimming bushes that would eventually tear into the roof felt. My wife and I were really pleased with everything. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend 1st choice leisure buildings. Thanks!

We recently had a summerhouse installed…
We recently had a summerhouse installed by 1st choice “Leisure Buildings” and we were extremely impressed. Although we had to wait 16 weeks, it was well worth the wait. Having researched many summerhouse companies, this one came up top in all areas. It is beautifully constructed and the people who came to assemble it were polite, efficient and quick ! We now use it for painting in and for relaxing, it is a lovely addition to our garden and we would have no hesitation in recommending this company.

Excellent quality workshop
I had to wait 16 weeks for my workshop, but it was well worth the wait. The building is very sturdy and well made and a very good height so I can stand up comfortably in all of it.
A number of people who have seen my new building have commented on what great quality it is.
I have now painted it with Sadolin and have hopes that it will outlive me!

Great shed, really pleased with the whole process.
I placed my order in February 2021 and was told that there would be a significant delay due to the current situation. They told me to sit back and wait to hear from them, which we did. We hoped to have the shed by August, so were delighted to get a call in June to arrange delivery and installation of the shed.
We were contacted once more, to confirm order details, to ensure everything was correct on day of delivery.
I was also emailed a list of recommended treatment to use on the shed.
We received a call on the morning of delivery with an arrival time.
The guys arrived when they said and worked efficiently to assemble the shed. They did a fantastic job.
Would definitely recommend 1st Choice Leisure buildings.

Very bad experience
HI, I used this company to replace an old shed.
they use contractors to remove the old shed, lay the cement base and build the shed.
all was fine apart from the person called Phil who they use to build the cement base. He kept cancelling the dates, he took too much on and he can not deliver all jobs. Eventually he layed the cement base but he did not return to remove the wood framework which he was paid for. An hour before he was scheduled to come, i texted him and he gave me some excuses why he could not come. so I had to find someone else to remove the framework at the last minute as the shed was being delivered 2 days later. the whole experience has been very stressful and Leisure B kept saying that I needed to resolve the issues directly with him although I contracted with them. It is such a shame and I will not recommend this company.

Thank you for your feedback and I am sorry that you are disappointed in your experience. For the avoidance of doubt we don't actually provide services other than supplying and installing the buildings. Quite often, however, a customer will require additional work such as removal of old buildings, base construction or electrics etc so we do have arrangements with various third party contractors who offer certain standard services to our customers at set pre-agreed rates. One of these contractors is the person who you requested to lay your base.
We were contacted by yourself on the day on which he attended to undertake his work and, although it was in fact my day off, I promptly made contact with yourself and the contractor and it was determined that the issue lay not with the base construction - which you later confirmed to me had been constructed correctly - rather an additional strip of concrete which you had requested the contractor lay at the rear of the shed base on the day of his works.
I believe that he explained on the day that the strip really was not recommended and that it would actually retain the water rather than allowing it to soak away into the soil but it was agreed that he would try and undertake the work if you felt that it was necessary. This was something that you would have commissioned him to do directly and, therefore, something over which we have no input hence I asked you to direct any queries on this side of things to him directly.
I am glad to hear that the contractor stuck to the agreed standard specification for the base which we insist leaves the finished level of the base higher than the surround in order to prevent water damage to the building over time. Being at a lower level than the concrete base he was unable to lay this additional strip of concrete on the day as he would first need to remove the formwork which can only be done when the concrete base had dried (a minimum of 2-3 days usually). Unfortunately the timing between the base being poured and the new shed coming in was quite tight and he did try to accommodate you by trying to move other commitments around but he was ultimately unable to squeeze you in.
I understand that you were otherwise happy with the work that Paul did removing your old shed and also with the factory who delivered your new shed. Your comments to us were 'they were absolutely great, they confirmed ahead of time, on the morning they texted me to give me an ETA - which was accurate. very pleased with them'.
I hope that this clarifies things though our apologies again that you felt disappointed that the contractor was unable to undertake your requested additional work in the timeframe available.
