I was overcharged.

I used a car park managed by this company in Stratford upon Avon on Monday last. I returned to my car within the two hour window to attract a fee of £2.00. The ticket machine I first used wanted to charge me for in excess of 2 hours and the time shown on the machine was approximately 10 to 15 minutes later than the actual time. I thought the machine must be faulty and therefore moved to an alternative machine. I had to wait whilst another gentleman did battle with the machine which was not accepting his card. However I still tried to use the machine after he had given up and although the time was still before 2.00 p.m. I had no choice but to pay for over 2 hours parking in order to avoid a penalty notice. My printed receipt shows an incorrect time of 3.11 p.m. and I believe that it also shows me entering the car park about 5 minutes before I actually did. I have e-mailed the company and now await a response.

Unclear instructions for payment

Unclear instructions for payment. Paid twice!
The instructions on the machine were unclear. I entered my card without realizing a full days payment was being taken from it. I then took it out, no ticket was printed and ordered the ticket for the time I wanted. Then 2 tickets appeared one for the full day and the one I wanted. I wrote to LPSL asking for a refund (you can't call them). and after 11 days got this message

We confirm we have checked our records and no faults were found with the machine on the date the below ticket was purchased.

Local Parking Security Ltd manages the car park on behalf of the landowners.

We are unable to refund any payments made for parking.

Be warned!

UNFAIR MONEY MAKING SCAM!!

Location: ASHFORD CAR PARK - ANPR

I have received PCN notice from local parking security for stopping my car into one of the car park operated by LPS.
I entered the car park at 19.01 on 31st December 2017 which is next to Tesco car park.
A PCN has been issued to me and appeal has been rejected on the basis that my car was stopped for 6 minutes without purchasing a valid ticket.

I find this unfair and unreasonable due to following reasons.

1, Car was stopped but never parked and left unattended, my wife was behind the wheel and my cousin and a friend sitting in the back seat.
What does parking mean? Parking is the act of stopping a vehicle, exiting it, and leaving the vehicle unoccupied for more than a brief time.

2. As per BPA (British parking association) you should allow the driver a reasonable ‘grace period’ in which to decide if they are going to stay or go. If the driver is on your land without permission you should still allow them a grace period to read your signs and leave before you take enforcement action. 6 minutes is within the grace period time scale.

Your approach to parking management must allow a driver who enters your car park but decides not to park, to leave the car park within a reasonable period without having their vehicle issued with a parking charge notice.

3. Car par is next to TESCO car park and there is no separate gate or dividers to prompt drivers to differentiate between the 2 different parkings. It seems the purpose of the scam is to charge drivers with as many penalty charges to make money rather then informing them about the private car park.

My request is to watch dog take action against this scam and also warn other motorist not to get caught up in this sort of unfair PCN`s.
