What is going on with this company

What is going on with this company?
It was so good in the past.
Now, does not exist on internet at all.
I still make calls from my designated number without problems but can not see my account for last few days anymore.
Safari does not detect it as it use to.
Pity, I am long term customer and happy one till now.

Was very good, getting much worse

Was very good, but now just have frequent issues such as no sound, dead tone, echoes, random cut offs constantly. When complained, not much reply and never any compensation.

Unreliable, Unacceptable and Unreasonable...I am OUT

I have been using localphone since 2008 to call India, USA and other locations. It has served well till now but I think it has been getting worse day by day. I have about £6.00 credit in my localphone account and when I try to make a call it comes up with a message "Low Credit" and does not make a call. This is not the first time either. If it is not this error then it is something else. Bottomline is that localphone has become unreliable, unacceptable and unreasonable to use. I am leaving localphone after nearly nine years with them and I am definitely not returning...EVER.

5 stars for support and 5 stars for the services...
So... I decided to trust those guys and purchase 2 incoming numbers. After a couple of weeks there was a problem and all incoming and outgoing calls to those incoming numbers was a mess. If someone called them they appeared offline, if we were calling someone our numbers didnt appear correctly. I decided to contact the support and guess what ? The guys started calling me, sending me mail trying to do everything possible to fix it. We were talking almost 6 hours on the phone to help me fix it.... They only have to email you the settings and that's all BUT THEY SUPPORTED ME incredibly by even calling me and giving me a perfect guided help. One funny story, while on one line we try to fix the other line but there is no result, suddenly i hear the support guy saying ''fucky, fucky, fucky, i am so frustrated that i can't help this guy''. Yes, as you have guessed he forgot to turn off the other call and i heard him and started laughing, he realized it and start to apologize. I told him not to worry about coz it was nice that their support is frustrated that they can't help and not frustrated that ''i have a problem'' and we both started to laugh. After 2 days with many efforts by them we fixed everything.
Now you would wonder why I give 5 stars ? Well obviously problem existed, exist and will always exist everywhere in our daily life the difference is in the way a professional company treats it's clients and the way they try to fix the problem. + my problem was not because of them or me but because of a 3rd party provider of them. So when you see a company fixing a problem that has many sources in 2 days and they work 24/7 you really appreciate it.

Have a backup account if want to use Localphone.com

I have been long time customer but now cannot trust this service. Often when I need to call my parents this service behaves in an unexpected manner. I am not sure if this service uses some dodgie call termination as often when I call to Pakistan I get mobile companies messages like prepaid mobile balance is low etc and call will only connect after few such attempts or won't connect at all .

if you chat with customer service they are not very helpful and will tell you to email technical department for such issues .

Well, they say "you get what you pay for" .

Worse Call Quality , Worst iOS App

Been using local phone for a while. Prices are competitive but call quality or connections is not always good. Some time it takes few attempts before your call gets connected and some time you cannot hear person on the other end at all .

Decent, good value provider, but failling short lately

I have been a Localphone customer for a very long time. 95% of the time, I haven't had any issues. There are reliability issues occasionally when calls would simply not go, but that is an exception than the norm and I am more or less pleased with the service. I issue I have however is the quality of the apps on various platforms. The call via wifi from those apps have not worked for me for quite some time and the apps themselves have not been updated in couple of years if I am not wrong. It would help if Localphone paid special attention on their service via all mediums especially as rates are coming down significantly on competing services from Google and Skype.

Update: Lately their service seems to be increasingly getting poorer. Plus rates seem to have come down a lot on competitors. So I am considering my way out.

Localphone is perfect. No complaints at all.

I have been a Localphone loyalist for the past 8 years. The service has never failed me. The prices are most competitive (for calls to India and UK), the website allows you all the configuration you want, navigation is super easy and intuitive.
I recently had a minor issue (for the 1st time in 8yrs) and it was resolved in hours.
My wife, after trying countless VoIP services, is a Localphone loyalist too and she calls India (from UK) using local numbers created via Localphone. The call quality is as good as landline.

cheating by selling minutes

I used local phone last 5years, november 28 I buy fixed minute for calling US to Bangladesh, last 6/7 days this service not working. I try thousand time, they r cheating with me by selling fixed minutes. I think this time to quit my calling relationship with this company.

Not good anymore

The prices are doubled and the quality of phone calls are not good as before

performance

generally this serive works fine . sometimes an echo on line but often cured by hanging up and redialling.

customer support has been good. VOIP queries sorted very quickly

Localphone WiFi problem

Since 4 years I try to call through WiFi but not possible. I've used now Zoiper and added new sip account and its working but we can't see the balance but working very good with very good quality sound. How to add your account in zoiper: go to accounts the add new then select already you have account then manual configuration and select SIP. Account name: localphone.com Host: localphone.com Username: Your account Password: your sip password. Then you can call with wifi , 3g or 4g. Thank you

it works,- and they do not let you allone,- there is a super service

I have had really problems to rescue my existing DIDs in Sweden as the old provider quit the service.
But localphone helped me and told me what to do,- I payed and did as been told and was every time updated what is the next step.
After a couple of days I could use my old DID numbers as usual.
And now to the quality of connection....I have often calls to far east and it is so as sitting the guy I called on my desk,- same is with Iran and Dubai.
Conclusion:
perfect service, excellent quality of connection, competetive prices,-
not so good: the web site could have a better overview in structures

But however, I told a friend of mine about my experience with localphone....and now he want also have localphone as provider....the thing is ....he is not so familar with installing and configurating .....so I will do it for him,- and you never know what happen on a strange computer.......but if I come in trouble ...I know I am not allone!

The app is average or below.

I get iOS messages saying this app will slow your phone performance.

Does not link to your contacts. Have to copy and paste the number every time or save their local phone number. Basically have to manage 2 contact lists. Better with Tesco app.

Extra fee every time you top-up.

Call quality is good.
