Having sent an initial enquiry on the 27th September I had a response within a couple of days by email.
I asked if we could discuss my project and was given the answer by email requesting size of opening and height etc., this was duly supplied. However I asked if Michael could give me a size relevant to the rake of the ladder when in the down position.
This is an important size as I am unable to move my ceiling opening, due to an earlier installation of other equipment.
I phoned and was told that I get phoned later the same day, as that didn’t happen I turned to email again and found another reply telling me they would need to put a ladder in the rig and take sizes and come back to me hopefully tomorrow that was the 3rd October not had an answer and we are now on the 7th.
My point is that I would have thought the size I requested would have been easily available since one requires it to establish the going in a staircase and the principal is I would have thought the same.
I live in hope to get an answer!

I had a Loftomattic electric loft ladder installed approximately 1 year ago. I am absolutely delighted with this ladder. It is now so easy to access the loft and incredibly simple to use. No more balancing on stools to bring down the loft ladder. This product has revolutionised my use of the loft space and is safe for access.
Duncan completed a very efficient project and Max has been available for any follow up enquiries.

Excellent, ongoing and patient customer service and accurate technical advise From Max.

Experience and service from this company has been exceptional.
We asked our builders to provide loft ladders that would be easy to use by a 70 and 80 year old. The ladders they provided were totally unsuitable. We searched the internet for an alternative and came across Loftomatic.
Our builders said they would fit them, Big mistake!, they totally ignored all the preparation and fitting instructions and attempted to fit them into an unfinished hatch damaging the steps in the process. After another builder finished the hatch we contacted Max from loftomatic who visited us to repair and service the steps and complete the installation. He spent 2 hours on site and did not charge us!
It was such a pleasure to deal with someone who cares about his customers and his product. The steps are wonderful, very easy to use. I would recommend them to anyone.

poor dysfunctional product that does not live up to the high standards previously hoped for.The ladder has poor chinese cheap motors that rarely work after 5 attempts over heating and shutting down regulary.The ladder also does not come with an insulated hatch so its back to the dark ages when it comes to heat preservation.Key points would be its not strong,bends in the middle and comes of its guide rails .IAvoid this product until the team at tech step get their act together and release a new updated version

We have owned our loftomatic for nearly two years now and it is absolutely brilliant. Being experienced DIYers we were able to easily install it ourselves in a couple of hours. On the two occasions that I have needed to call for help loftomatic customer service has been amazing. Friendly helpful people able to sort my issues immediately without fuss or criticism. Can’t rate this company and product highly enough. I wouldn’t be without it.

We purchased our 9 step Loftomattic in November 2021 and are very pleased with our decision because:

1) The pre sales support was very good and helped us know we were buying the correct option for our needs

2) The price was competitive compared to the alternatives

3) Delivery was prompt

4) When we had an issue with the ladder where it was no longer fully closing, we contacted the customer service team who assisted me to resolve the issue straight away. What is more important is that they assured me that if they couldn’t help me resolve it over the phone, they would visit me promptly to fix it for me.

A very good product and even better customer service.

I would recommend Loftomattic to anyone looking to get easier, safer access to their loft space.

Extremely impressed with both the product and the customer service from this company.
We had the Loftomattic ladder installed by our normal local builder (no authorised installer on the Isle of Wight) and it worked perfectly but after a while it would not fully close. We contacted Loftomattic who offered to send a replacement ladder but I was not able to replace it myself and our builders had left site.
Loftomattic suggested they send one of their engineers to fix it at no cost to us all the way to the island!
All quickly sorted by Michael and ladder now operating perfectly.
If only all online suppliers/manufacturers provided such excellent post-sales support.

I contacted Loftomattic hoping to be offered an automatic loft ladder at an affordable cost. When I telephoned this is indeed what I was offered.Duncan Mills was cordial and helpful which he continued to be throughout the procedure. The ladder was installed quickly and efficiently and works perfectly.

Mike gave very fast and helpful advice. Once ordered the correct ladder was very quickly sent. The Loftomattic was easily fitted, the hatch was more of a challenge probably due to my skills. It works a treat and has transformed getting into the loft. Highly recommended

I’ve had my Loftomattic ladder for 3 years and it’s been brilliant and faultless. Had a minor jam today but contacted Customer Service and within 5 minutes I had a video on how to reset it. Done in an instant. This a great product at a great price with excellent customer support. Can’t recommend enough.

I have recently had a Loftomattic ladder fitted. I was impressed by the service and I'm delighted with the finished result. I am so pleased I decided to pay the extra for a new loft ladder. I am now confident that I will be able to access my loft space for many years to come. Duncan was professional and friendly. He left the area clean and tidy. Would definitely recommend.

Just a quick one, need a Loft ladder that doesn't decapitate you every time you open it, need a ladder that is strong enough to carrying you, the Xmas tree and "your Xmas pounds"...Well look no further. I just love this ladder, absolutely brilliant and Max and Team are always happy to help when any glitches in the matrix appear (almost never btw). I looked all over the place for something like this and you need to go at least double in price to even get close... this loft ladder is worth the price and you won't be disappointed if you do.

Experience and service from this company has been excellent. Had a query with regards to my loft ladder and received a first one-to-one communication with a step-by-step video. I was able to resolve the matter.
That’s what I call an after-care service which is very hard to find.

professional service.

i have had my Loftomatic for just over 2 years , i installed it myself , and it has worked faultlessly since i fitted it . I recently adjusted the flap strap too tightly because i had worked on the hinges of the flap and this caused the ladder to not shut properly . I called customer services and explained the problem to Max .
He was absolutely brilliant , he talked me through resetting the ladder with the remote , and all is now working fine. I would 100% recommend this product to
anyone who is thinking about upgrading their loft ladder.

Earlier this year I was looking for a replacement loft ladder as part of a renovation project on my Edwardian home.

After looking at all the other loft ladders I could find online I decided on the Loftomattic electric loft ladder and I had one installed in July 2021.

I was very impressed with the faultless installation, completed within a day and I remain equally impressed with the design and engineering excellence of the Loftomattic unit itself.

I used the loft ladder frequently between July and the beginning of November when the loft ladder began to stutter on closing and I had to press the controller 2 or 3 time to fully close loft ladder, after a couple of weeks it became clear I could not close the loft ladder without pressing the controller multiple times and I called Loftomattic for their help and advice.

The Loftomattic team responded to this issue quickly and efficiently replacing the unit without delay for what I think was a controller fault.

As an engineer with some design experience I can confidently say the Loftomattic loft ladder is superbly engineered and one of the best designed products I have seen.

As a customer I am equally impressed by the excellent Customer Services of the Loftomattic team

I struggled with my old heavy wooden loft ladder for years and decided that the time was right for me to change to a no effort electric ladder. I did my research and concluded that Loftomattic provided the ideal solution. The company could not have been more helpful to me, even arranging delivery to Northern Ireland and putting me in touch with a recommended installer. Now that the installation has been completed I am a very satisfied customer. The installation was done quickly and efficiently and the installers (Raymond) were friendly, tidy and gave me full operating instructions.
For the money this is easily the best product of its type on the market.
