Unbelievably unprofessional and unreliable.

MyBoost/The Collect Group have severely impacted my business—avoid them at all costs.

Without any prior notice, they abruptly pulled our agreed rates and cancelled our collection driver. They informed us at 14:59—literally one minute before our collection was due. They then stated they could no longer offer any collections and that our rates would be drastically increased. The only services that we could use for our products now come with a staggering 300-400% price hike.

This left us with a significant number of orders already labelled and prepared for dispatch. As a result, we've had to issue refunds to customers, leading to a substantial loss of revenue, negative reviews, and damage to our reputation. We simply didn’t have the time to find and set up an alternative courier service in time.

The situation could have been managed far better on their part. Despite promising to revert us back to the old rates to fulfil our existing orders, I've been waiting over 48-72 hours for any kind of confirmation or email response. There’s no way to contact them by phone, and they never return calls or voicemails left through their automated system.

Even my 3PL team, who handle our orders, were shocked by the sheer level of unprofessionalism and the lack of consideration for the impact of their actions.

If you or your couriers are unhappy with the pricing stipulated in your agreements, perhaps you should reconsider offering those rates in the first place. This entire experience has been beyond frustrating, and I will be sharing it widely to warn others.

It does not show who is the courier

It does not show who is the courier. It took me ages to figure out myself.
It barely gives any info at all. No names , no contacts, no clear updates, and you just don't know what to do if your parcel is lost or late. There should be a link to couriers website. Also as a parcel receiver i do not see any benefits of what they do, perhaps it's different for senders.

Pass the buck company, who doesn't care about their customers

I have only been with Collect Group for 3 months and I soon realised that they are all about passing on the blame to someone else. Everytime, I had an issue with a parcel, it was always had to be their way, they never wanted to meet in the middle and try and help more. A lot of my next day parcels were not delivered next day, they only have 14 days to claim for lost package ( which they fail yo tell you when you sign up, but then tell you that you need to read the small print on their portal) I wouldn't recommend Collect Group to any business as you will have a problem very soon, and when you do you wouldn't like the way Collect Group deals with it. They don't care about their customer retention or value their existing customers, they said if you don't like it you can leave. This is not the company I want to work with or give my money too.

One company to avoid doing business…

One company to avoid doing business with.

We run a business and we have been using Collect Group for over 8 months. On a Friday afternoon, I got a strange email from some escalations team saying that they have challenges in recruitment and today will be the last day that they can do collection.

As someone who have been writing business communications in banks at senior level for number of years, it was assumed that the issue is with collection. On Monday morning, when we tried to access the portal to book more parcels, we learnt that it was not just collection, but they have suspended the account. We have set-up direct debits for all payments and there was not just one default.

In the middle of Diwali season when we had 100s of dispatches to be dispatched on Monday, this was a real kick in the teeth.

Having worked in large Banks for over 20 years at senior level, I have never seen such absolute unprofessionalism in my life. I will never do and want to do business with organisations such as Collect Group again. I would never recommend any of my entrepreneurial friends to do business with these guys.

I am very sorry we are unable to provide a collection service for your business; this is it is the first time we have been compromised in our ability to cover work since our inception. It is very frustrating and I am sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you.  I am also sorry that you did not find my letter, which was attached to and referenced in the email, clear enough. In the letter I tried to explain that we would not offer a collection service at all from the Monday, as we had no driver in place.  This was not, as explained, any reflection on you or your business, but a result of challenging economic and recruitment conditions.  We could not accept bookings for items we would not be able to collect, so had to suspend the booking option, otherwise you would have prepared shipments for no reason.  I am sorry we had no options available that would have seen a continuation of service and for the inconvenience caused. If you would like to discuss this with me please do contact me. To be avoided

Failed to deliver to a large supermarket then tried to charge to return the parcel undelivered ! Frequently charge excesses for alleged oversize parcels. Contents of parcels delivered damaged but there’s always a reason it’s not their fault ! Won’t be using them again and I have cancelled my account.

Big rip off

Sending out bespoke box sizes,then once taken away are squashed and mis shaped so they can charge extra £120 fine for oversized box,ripping people off big time,THEN NOT BEING ABLE TO PRODUCE ANY EVIDENCE ,

My parcel should have arrived on Tuesday were now on Thursday,upon putting the tracking number it stated address query and the driver had tried to delivery parcel twice but couldn't find the house,I've in the middle off a estate not in a country lane ffs

I am sorry to hear you had an issue with your delivery and I hope this was resolved with the courier responsible for delivering the item to you, in this instance Yodel. There can be occasions where a delivery company struggles to make a delivery and the best thing to do is to contact the delivery company directly to work with them to resolve the issue.

The Collect Group was not involved with the delivery of this item, so I am not sure why this review was left for us. As you can appreciate, a negative review for any business is detrimental but in this instance the review is unfair and inaccurate and I politely request that it is reconsidered in light of the fact that it was Yodel making the delivery not ourselves.

Awful service

There custom service is not good at all there drivers never come on time to be honest they are rude and try to over invoice for items all the time

I am sure you can appreciate that it is unfair for us to receive a 2-star review for a service we are not directly involved with. This is was a job interview which I attended in the middle of April.

After the interview I was told would probably not be taking on until June?

What a complete waste of everyone’s time. Who conducts interviews in the middle of April if not taking on new starters until sometime in June?

All the gear no idea springs to mind.

I must say this is the most random review we have ever received. I really cannot understand why you would adopt this approach based simply on the start date for the job being 2-6 weeks from interview. This timescale is standard business practice as in many cases, successful candidates would likely need to give a month's notice. This of course has no relevance, since you were not considered suitable for the role. I do hope you find a position that suits you with an immediate start date and wish you well in the search.

Thanks for your feedback. It is a tricky situation when a review like this is left, as this relates to the delivery of the item rather than our service so in effect it is inaccurate and (dare I say) rather unfair.
We are a collection provider who offers IT solutions to our clients (the sender of the goods).
Reviews relating to our service are of course welcome, as we continually strive to improve on the collection efficiency, our client platforms and IT solutions, and our customer services processes. Our handling of a shipped item extends only to the point at which the goods are injected into the delivery courier network, and it would appear that despite our excellent collection service and timely injection of the goods, we are receiving criticism for a service which is beyond our remit.

It is disappointing to hear that the goods arrived damaged, and we will of course feed your comments back to the courier who were responsible for this delivery so they can improve their services.

I do feel this review should be reconsidered, not least because it does not relate to the service we provide. I hope you have a better delivery experience in the future.

Low cost idiot's is more appropriate

Low cost idiot's is more appropriate. We have been sending parcels for over 22 years and this outfit has to be the worst we've used.
Pay peanuts and you will get monkeys..... It's simple!
There brand says taking the hassle out parcels
I've never had so much hassle with a parcel company!!
We're paying about 50p a parcel more with parcel force and are receiving a quality service.
Be very careful with their surcharge policies as within days of opening a account we received our first of many for £199 for a so called over size parcel.. After hrs of sending emails of proof they eventually apologised saying it was there mistake, then weekly they keeptd on sending surcharge after surcharge for even small parcels 😵
Everyone was sorted out eventually but It became a weekly job on top of everything else you need to do running a business with out wasting our time trying to prove your innercent on a weekly basis.
BE WARNED small businesses!!!

I am sorry to see that your experience with TCG has led to such a negative review. Our service itself, with regards to collections and the IT solutions we offer, I am sure you will agree has been excellent. Surcharges are in place by the courier and we are governed by their measurements. This is to avoid abuse of their network and to deter senders from using an inappropriate service. It is frustrating when a surcharge is applied, but we always allow for clients to contact us should the charges be disputed so we can conduct a proper investigation. I fear in this instance, with your cancelling of your Direct Debit and refusing to make payment for services completed, it did unfortunately impact on the dispute process and us being able to come to a swift commercial resolution. I am pleased we were able to resolve the disputes in the end, and I am sorry you felt the need to leave such a detrimental review. We wish you well in your future endeavours.

PART OF YODEL GROUP, STEER CLEAR!: Lied about a delivery attempt and card being left...

They'd said that a delivery attempt was made yesterday but there was no-one to accept the delivery (19.01.21), this was false, I was at home all day... no-one attempted a delivery. Checked tracking details, apparently a card was left... this was also false, no card was left. I attempted to call them to arrange a redelivery... I'm unable to speak to a representative and have been told to resolve with the sender instead! What kind of a cowboy operation is this?! I thought Yodel were bad BUT Collect Group Ltd (or Low Cost Parcels) is THE. WORST!

I am sorry to see that the delivery experience has resulted in such a negative review of LCP services. I feel, however, that the review is entirely unfair and overly critical. As the collection service provider only (which has no bearing on the delivery service), we provide same day collections to businesses and our influence on the parcel’s journey extends only to the point at which it is injected into the courier network. What happens thereafter is the responsibility of the delivery courier. As we have a relationship with the courier, we can pass feedback onto them and your points have been raised for their consideration. On the subject of Customer Service, there is a very set process which our clients need to follow to correctly log any queries, and to in turn gain a speedy resolution for customers. LCP cannot make decisions on behalf of senders, and therefore an end receiver would always be directed to the sender of the goods.
I hope this has helped to explain our position and gives you an understanding as to why LCP cannot accept such a negative review. I hope that you will reconsider this, and that going forward you enjoy a better delivery service.

Unbelievable! Shocking service!

In order to leave this review I had to select one star. I don’t even rate them 1 star. How can they justify it when their driver leaves the package leaning against the wall, in the rain, right at the far end of the driveway which is 30 yards from the front door ON WHICH THE DRIVER DID NOT KNOCK OR RING THE DOORBELL!!!

Absolutely shocking!

Absolutely shocking!
This company has lost me over £1,000 in lost orders in just one month. This is something a small business just can't stand to lose. The most you can claim back is £50 and sometimes NOTHING AT ALL!!!!! One lost order alone was for over £400! What they don't tell you is that they use yodel. If I had known that I would never have put my trust in them. One month down the line and I have had enough and gone elsewhere.
The collect group is a joke, and not a very funny one!!
STEER CLEAR AT ALL COSTS!

It is disappointing to see such upset caused to a client and we can only apologise that you have been so affected. However, I feel your review is unfair, and should be taken down, not least because under our terms of business (and included in the Rate Card alongside each service level price) is the level of liability per shipment - and this varies up to the maximum is £50. Where any client uses our platform to access carrier services and chooses to ship items of a higher value, we cannot be held accountable. The carrier options are discussed at the account commencement and you have decided to continue to ship. I cannot accept the deferred criticism following some issues where items of much higher value have been presented. We do our utmost to work with our partner courier to resolve an issue, and where this is not possible a claim is honoured.

Running a small business and having used most couriers over the past couple of years, these are easily my number one !!! Pricing straight forward, NO surprise surcharges, the price they quoted is what you pay !!
Add to that all parcels picked up from us are delivered on a Saturday at no extra cost, and they also show all delivery statuses so no need to log in to lots of individual orders to see if they have been delivered.
Also will add they are very easy to contact and have dealt with any queries pretty instantly
