We still had to sign for the delivery despite everything going on with Covid-19 and social distancing. I do not think this was acceptable given the current situation.

At the moment I am awaiting a delivery from Newcastle upon Tyne to Bishop Auckland. A distance of about 30 miles. it has travelled from Newcastle to Gateshead then down to Wednesbury where it will no doubt return to Gateshead for delivery to Bishop Auckland

We do use a service partner to carry out deliveries on our behalf, on this occasion Yodel. As national carriers use central sorting facilities, it is very common for items to travel to a sorting centre and from there to the relevant delivery depot, known as a hub and spokes system. In this case, collection in Gateshead was followed by sorting in the Wednesbury area, and delivery by the Stockton depot. The consolidation of traffic and the handling in this manner means overall benefits, and a lower price for clients and their customers. As this item was dispatched on 2nd March on an economy service this is due to reach you within the next 24 hours, should you have any issues with your delivery please feel free to contact us.
