Lumina Energy Reviews 

As a multi site business we receive many unsolicited calls regarding business energy reviews, most of which you simply wish to get rid of. A couple of months ago I received a call from Jack Gilby of Lumina Energy who made a professional introduction, explained their links to the Kent County Council and offered us a review of our business energy contracts, with no commitment to buy. His un-pushy nature secured my agreement and we discovered that our largest site had let their electric contract lapse and we were paying an excessive tariff for the past few months. Jack recommended an immediate 3 year plan phased in across the other sites. He arranged this in a timely manner, kept it simple and most importantly, working forward it takes the burden away from us as a business of having to keep on top of tariff expiry dates and various renewal dates/letters/emails. Some weeks ago, I gave a 1 star rating to D Energi and for the sake of fairness, I have to give the same to Lumina. When I used Lumina to try and renew the energy contract for my small business, I really wanted to move away from the usual big players in the market but my optimism was misplaced and I cannot recommend Lumina. Their communication between me and D Energi was so poor that D Energi lost my business and I shan't use Lumina again. They failed to contact the energy company on my behalf, failed to pass on a really good offer made by D Energi and completely failed in their role as a broker and intermediary. Their communication skills and standards were amateur at best and although they came across as nice people, you need a bit more than that when you are trying to sort out your energy supply. Being nice doesn't compensate for being incompetent.
