diabolical

diabolical, complained about an overhanging tree beginning of last year, my tenants also complained, its still not resolved to this day and i have been ringing every week to explain this has now taken the tiles off the roof. still no communication. was told the job had been done! no it wasn't the tree has now done even more damage. what on earth is this country coming to? i have now had to put in a complaint which will take another month maybe for a response. this could have been avoided by simply passing on my message and someone getting back to me to just come out and see the tree...is this too simple for the Council? they seem to have an awful lot of temps taking messages but not actually doing anything. get sorted and get the job done, its simple. county has gone mad!

Steal my money shamelessly

Steal my money shamelessly. I paid via PayByPhone 3 times but nothing showed on the apps even though the bank confirmed my payment. I asked the nearby traffic wardens. He showed me the screen of the handheld device and confirmed I could park for another two hours. I have even asked whether I should pay at the machine again for sure, but the traffic wardens told me no one can fake the handheld device and I was good to go. Since I had to take care two 85 years old elderly while it was raining there, so I just took a photo of the handheld device as a proof and left. I got the PCN 30 minutes later. When I saw the same traffic warden an hour later, he confirmed there was a glitch on the system. he was certainly assured I could easily justify with his handheld device photo that I could park for another two hours. I made an appeal but they simply rejected it and told it was my responsibility to make sure it! What’s a joke! I had to make sure their devices working properly! And how come they can issue PCN when they cannot even sure the handheld device is working properly. When I got back to my car, I saw 4 more drivers having the same issues. I really hope the media could investigate their devices and abilities to make judgement so that they could refund everyone!

Awful council only there to make money

Awful council only there to make money, they have no sympathy. Not from the area however I received a fine alleged bus lane. Didnt even acknowledge my response were much more bothered about the fine to be paid. Ridiculous especially with cost of living.

Scummy grifters

Scummy grifters. Supply nothing and just take, take, take. First to run to court when you owe them a few quid but won't shift a finger to help. I'm pretty sure that when you are the plaintiff and the court, that might be a conflict of interest.

AWFUL So difficult and mean.

AWFUL, I spent many hours on the phone to this council, getting annoyed and forgotten about. It took months for my discount to be applied, to then be told I would have to go through the same process again in a month.
I called them up when I was moving out and payed what I got told was the remaining balance. I gave my new address and left thinking I was finally done with manchester council. I am now with Salford and they have been amazing, good communication and just make it as easy as possible. The opposite of manchester.

Two months after moving out I received a summons. Between the date I cleared my account and moved out a week later (this was all explained over the phone) I owed £20. I received no prior warning, no letters nothing. I have now had to pay over £100.

I love Manchester but i will NOT be moving back to that council. The amount of stress and pain that was caused, especially when the state of this cost of living crisis, has been unmatched.

If you have to deal with this council, good luck, you will need it. That is if you ever manage to talk to someone.

This council is nothing short of a joke. I have a noisey neighbour + Manchester City Council incompetent staff have done everything to avoid dealing with the problem. I eventually was offered a Community Trigger meeting very grudgingly by the council + this meeting was nothing but a farce. The staff at the meeting were rude + ridiculously incompetent. They ignore evidence + everything. This is the same council who claims to be leading the way on noise nuisance, but contrary to sorting out the problem, the council staff seem to fully condone the problem.

Cameras everywhere, they most be raking it in

Looking forward to returning to Manchester and very excited to see the new bus lane camera that can be purchased with my kindly donation. In time I’m confident it will permit many others to experience the same joy I have had.

Went into Manchester city centre to the theatre and was struggling to find parking as it was a Sunday the NCP car park near to the Oxford Rd was shut. On trying to get out of the city centre I was unaware of the gate bus lane Very poorly sign posted until it's too late then get a penalty notice. Last time I drive to Manchester.

@Aries Official and Rise's post is spot on. People of race, please stay away from this RACIST Klan of a Council.

The posts by @Aries Official and Rise Rise are spot on. Manchester Council supports racist housing associations.

I was a tenant of St Vincent's, who have now named themselves Moss Care. This housing association had blackballed me from obtaining a home for over 6 months (over 14 years ago) because I refused to deal with the catastrophic racism that I had endured then. Staff such as Sarah Worton and Tracey Ferguson Black are the biggest of all racists. When I suffered a panic attack as a result of what I had been contented with by Margaret Thornley and Louise Agg ( From Bolton at Home Councl ) constant refusal to fit radiators throughout the property duiring the -18C tortureous weather of 2012. Yet, within a few days of their decision, a neighbour had her entire home kitted with brand new radiators.

Due to my rapidly poor health i was forced to obtain a property from St Vincents, and yet endured another awful neighbour. Sarah Worton tried to blame my treatment for B12 as a reason as to why I could not tolerate the harassment I was receiving. I was in receipt of disability at the time and was unable to work and she had the nerve to state that because i was not working, i had nothing better to do than listening to the horrendous thumbing that my neighbour had subjected me for 24/7 and the constant harassments.

Tracey Ferguson Black shockingly admitted to being a " noisy neighbour" herself in attempts to further trivalise what i was enduring. It was mindblowing to witness such an Insanely unprofessional racist women , just blahzay about their clear ingorance.

Sarah, Tracey, together with Louise Agg and Margaret Thornley at Bolton at Home, are the most discussingly racist housing officers known. Their actions towards me has been overtly racist and if someone put me through that - best believe , i will CALL you OUT! I aint that ONE to mess with. People of race have contented with a LOT from these facists housing associations who fail their contractual obligations , yet these serpents expect to recieve full rent.

I lost a lovely 2 bedroom house I lived in( for 10 years) and spent so much of my hard earned money on. I had to give a lot of my possessions( ie; fences, garden furniture etc), all because these Klans claim they wanted my home for families and kicked me out into a 1-bedroom slum. They had the nerve thereafter to further stalk me in order to find out where I had gone

After suffering horrendous racial hatred and having my vehicle -at the time vandalised, i gave St Vincents 4 weeks notice, i paid the remainder of the rent and left the property the same day i handed in the notice. Sarah and Tracey- with the assistant of Louise Agg and Margaret Thornley went onto to spread numerous lies to charity bodies, Housing associations etc stating that I was vulnerable and needed help with my tenancy, so that i was unable to obtain another home. All because I spoke up and exposed them for what they are and refuse to put up with Tracey and Sarah's slavery days inherited nonsense. I guarantee several people of colour's complaints has been dealt with in a similar fashion.

St Vincents has now become a part of Manchester Council, but was once under Bolton Council. Unbeknown to me at the time when I contacted Manchester Council , the second i provide my name, i am spoken to like a piece of do-do.

Manchester is a diverse and multicultural city but the council on the other hand is the Klan within - what could be a beautiful city , hindered by Manchester Councils prehistoric racist views . They seem to reel out a significant number of black employees to give the impression on the surface of how diverse they are, when in actuality that is a smoke screen to really what goes on behind the scenes. I am sure the employees have some stories to tell about them.

In order for Manchester Council to become a well respect reflection of Manchester - someone with some SENSE and HIGH MORAL STANDING should get kick out those Boris Bias against black Britain riff raffs and start placing solid pillows of society.

I have since written a book that goes into details of what these housing associations had me endure - all in efforts to exercise their extreme prejudices and i will ensure that it will serves as a catalyst to the black community NEVER to tolerate and to speak up against this sicknening style practices.

Welcome to Manchester - WATCH OUT FOR BUS LANES COUNCIL TRAPS !!!

Welcome to Manchester - please come and work here open offices and then we will make sure our BUS LANE signs are so small we trap you and fine you repeatedly and when then will send very limited comms to you instead asking bailiffs to arrive on your doorstep asking for £409 or your car will be impounded by Newlyn debt collectors ??!! hard working people beware this council appears only seeks to exploit people who are trying to navigate the shocking transport system to get to their offices on a busy working day. MAKE YOUR BUS LANE SIGNS AND MARKINGS BIGGER and please stop trying to catch us all out although im sure it's a great revenue stream for you. I have NEVER been doorstepped before by a bailiff and so thanks Manchester Council for this wonderful experience - Customer Last ! dont risk driving folks they are ready to catch up out at every right or left turn with traffic disruption and constant flow changes how are we expected to keep up when all we are trying to do is get to work to support our families after Covid; although i'm certain Manchester Councils own finance's are FINE !

Absolutely Useless

Useless
14 weeks of not having blue bin emptied(paper).
Nothing in there that shouldn't be and no reason for it to not be emptied, not tagged to notify.
7 complaints via email and phone each response is a supervisor will contact within 2 days so I've contacted them to just take the bin away and I'll throw paper in general waste bin.

Well done on your recycling efforts manchester council you're an absolute joke.

Horrendous service

We tried to apply for the Covid Additional Relief Fund and was told that you had a period of 20 minutes to complete the application. However, although we completed the text replies, as soon as we tried to submit the proof, it kept going to a 'Forbidden' page so we have no idea whether our application has been submitted or if our proof went through. There is no way to contact the Council (phone numbers and email do not deal with grants!) - appalling!
