Hasanka created a memorable vacation with his knowledge and skill. He made sure I got the best seats, placement for photos, and saw and experienced all Sri Lanka has to offer in the time I had. Great experience.

We chose Mango Vacations initially because of the option to create a tailor made holiday; the value for money; and their ethical values and vision statements. We were not disappointed.... We exchanged emails with Seya and Nadeeka who advised, organised and booked the holiday for us very efficiently, making sure this would be our perfect Sri Lankan experience.

When we arrived we were met by Pavi who was to be our driver and local guide for the next two weeks. Pavi is an absolute joy... He's knowledgeable, experienced, and became a trusted friend throughout the fortnight. He looked after us so well and is an excellent driver. We thoroughly enjoyed his company and he captured some fabulous photos as well which we were very grateful for. He joined us on the safaris and he took the most magnificent photos of the elephants as well as managing to take photos of the leopards even though they were trying to hide behind the foliage.

Pavi is like a swan.... He is calm and gracefully glides you through your holiday, but underneath the surface you know there is a great deal of work going on to ensure that everything appears effortless.

We had so many highlights in the holiday:
- The Madu River Safari in Bentota;
- The relaxing beach and surfing in Marissa;
- The Honey Bee Garden Cookery Class with Ruwini, who is lovely, in Ella;
- The amazing views and sense of achievement at the top of Ella Rock and also at Sigiriya Lion Rock Fortress;
- The beautiful train journey to Nuwara Eliya;
- Picking tea at a tea plantation;
- Visiting the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic and Dambulla Cave Temple;
- Our amazingly successful elephant and leopard safaris;
- The traditional village tour which I wasn't expecting to enjoy that much but was brilliant fun and incredibly interesting; and
- The delicious Sri Lankan food (especially the Dahl, although we have it on good authority that Pavi's Mum makes the best Dahl!) and the warm Sri Lankan hospitality everywhere we went.
We have had a truly magical holiday. Thank you Pavi and the rest of the Mango Vacations team.

I have recently returned from a 16 day trip to Sri Lanka with three friends of mine. Our holiday was organised and coordinated solely by Mango Vacations. They organised a full itinerary which included our own transport and driver for the duration, expeditions, and hotels that we had selected.
The holiday was really fabulous. The hotels were all of a very high standard in superb locations. This was my first trip to Sri Lanka and has proven to be one of my own holiday favourites.
However, the holiday was made complete by our driver and guide Hasanka.
From the beginning it was obvious that he was a safe pair of hands. He was an excellent driver. Always punctual and polite it was obvious that he was experienced in this role.
He proved to be very flexible and on several occasions suggested slight timing changes to the itinerary when and where appropriate which benefited the group as a whole.
On our excursions he appeared very knowledgeable and
he seemed genuinely pleased to share this with us and it was fascinating to spend time with him, and learn all about his country’s ways , religion and customs.
He was also very helpful and supportive and seemed able to judge the physical limitations of members of the group. He seemed to know if any of us appeared to be struggling physically during the days activities and was always ready with a location to stop for a break.
I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Thank you so much to Hasanka and Mango vacations for a very memorable trip.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Mango vacations if considering a trip to Sri Lanka.

Mango Vacations were excellent in all respects, delivering a truly fantastic holiday for our party of 4. They suggested an itinerary after we'd outlined our key interests and then developed this to suit our travel dates and activity preferences. Hotel recommendations were excellent at surprisingly good prices. Our guide, Hasanka, was superb - very knowledgeable, friendly, always forthcoming with ideas to make the most of each day (even if they started with 5am hikes to see the sunrise) and very flexible: he made a huge contribution to making the holiday so enjoyable! We didn’t get to get a photo of a train going over Nine Arch Bridge (train heavily delayed), so Hasanka changed our train ride start point so we crossed the bridge by train ourselves: an example of the many thoughtful things he did to get the full potential from our trip.

Great 14 day tour of Sri Lanka with Hasanka guide/driver. The tour covers a lot of Sri Lanka. Saw all the iconic sights, sigirya rock, dambulla cave, 9 arch bridge etc. very good hotels in the tour. Hasanka was very friendly and helpful. He made sure we had a great time and had no issues. The company provided great service and made changes to the tour to accommodate us. The car was comfortable and Hasanka was a safe driver. We would happily recommend a tour with them.

Our tour of Sri Lanka was a complete success and very well organised. We saw many of the country's most important cultural, scenic and recreational highlights and gained a very good impression of the island's diversity.

Cultural highlights included Sigiriya, the temple complexes of Dambulla and Kandy. We were particularly impressed by the highlands around Ella, with the train ride through the tea plantations and a safari in Yala National Park. At the end of our trip, we were also able to enjoy a few relaxing days on the beaches in the south. The mix of culture, nature and relaxation was just right.

A big compliment goes to our guide Hasanka. He was always friendly, reliable and very well organised. We were particularly impressed by how attentive he was – even with small things, such as always making sure we got the best seats in restaurants. His explanations were informative and easy to understand, and we felt well looked after at all times. This also applied to the car journeys – fortunately, he is a relaxed and very good driver. Thank you!

All in all, a highly recommended trip that gave us a wonderful and varied insight into Sri Lanka. It was a real pleasure!

Es una suerte tener una persona como él en tu viaje. Ha hecho que todo sea fácil, no le ha importado nunca cambiar el itinerario, levantarse a las 5.00 de la mañana o llegar a las 20.00 al hotel...

¡Es alucinante su predisposición!

Nos ha acompañado a todos los sitios, ha estado pendiente de lo que nos gusta, de cómo nos encontramos, ha tenido infinidad de detalles con nosotros que se alejan de un guía normal...

Además, te sientes super seguro con él en el coche. Viendo cómo conducen algunos guías y autobuses, hemos ido super a gusto con él en los trayectos.

En conclusión, creo que no habíamos podido tener un guía mejor.

Además, las reservas de los hoteles en los que hemos estado han sido fantásticos.

Con una mejor atención al cliente antes de la llegada al país por tu parte podéis llegar a ser la mejor opción para viajar a Sri Lanka!!

Our trip was from January 9th to 19th, 2026. We were 3 people. Thanks to guide Hasanka, we have had an unforgettable holiday. He's a lucky find for your team. He has made everything easy, never minded changing the itinerary, getting up at 5:00 am, or arriving at 8:00 pm at the hotel... His willingness is amazing! He has accompanied us to all the places, has been attentive to what we like, how we are feeling, has had countless details with us that go beyond a normal guide... Besides, you feel super safe with him in the car. Seeing how some guides and buses drive, we have been super comfortable with him on the trips.
In conclusion, I think we couldn't have had a better guide. Also, the hotel bookings have been fantastic. With better customer service before arrival to the country on your part, you could become the best option to travel to Sri Lanka!!"

Mango Vacations 14 Day tour December 2025
Our tour of Sri Lanka was excellent. Our guide Thili was very knowledgeable about the locations, the culture and traditions, whilst our driver Pavi was a considerate, safe but quick driver. The all inclusive tour was a wonderful mixture of religious sites, wildlife safari’s, trekking and river cruises, whilst staying in fabulous hotels and eating lovely food.
Thank you Mango Vacations for organising such a fabulous tour and we have taken away lovely memories of Sri Lanka.

We had an incredible time on our tour with Mango Vacations! From the start, everything was seamless, and we saw so much of Sri Lanka, while also meeting some truly lovely people. Our guide, Hasanka, was fantastic—he was incredibly helpful and had great knowledge of all the places we visited. Due to the terrible flooding, he had to adjust our itinerary, but he went above and beyond to ensure everything was smoothly arranged. I really felt like we experienced the true essence of Sri Lanka.

The hotels were fantastic, each one offering something special, and I loved the variety!

My only suggestion would be to clarify on the booking site what’s not included in the tour and provide an idea of additional costs. This would help with planning how much rupees to exchange at the airport before arrival.

Overall, it was a wonderful, all-inclusive tour, and I would absolutely book with Mango Vacations again!

Great 14 day tour with Mango Vacations. Thilina and Pavi were very helpful and knowledgeable. Lovely accommodation throughout. I really got to see the best of Sri Lanka.

It was an awesome tour with a fantastic guide. Hasanka was knowledgeable, funny and very accommodating. We covered a lot of ground and packed a lot into our 14 days. Loved it.

We had a two week tour and saw a variety of things on the road trip. Tea plantations, temples, fortes and those who wanted did some trekking. Our driver, Lochi, was very competent for such a young fella and his vehicle was very clean and comfortable. Our guide, Hasanka, was very knowledgeable, accommodating and answered our many various questions on Sri Lanka. We had a great time.

Our trip to Sri Lanka was absolutely extraordinary from start to finish. 😊💜🙏 We visited Sigiriya, Polonnaruwa, Kandy, and the beautiful hill country, driving through endless tea fields and stopping at breathtaking waterfalls like Ramboda. The safaris in Minneriya and Yala National Park were unforgettable, as was visiting Ramana’s Cave and the turtle hatchery by the coast. Everywhere we went, the hotels were clean, comfortable, and welcoming — and it was all surprisingly budget-friendly. We also enjoyed dining at safe, local restaurants that served incredibly tasty Sri Lankan food.

Our guide and driver, Hasanka, was exceptional — always kind, patient, and especially thoughtful with our toddler, which made traveling so easy and enjoyable. And we were particularly blessed by the Buddha to be able to see his tooth covered in 250kg of gold, thanks to Hasanka's insider knowledge.

The trip was perfectly organized by Nadeeka, who tailored everything to our needs and made sure every detail was taken care of. Thanks to them, we could simply relax and soak up the beauty, culture, and warmth of Sri Lanka. It truly was an unforgettable journey that we can highly recommend to anyone. ✈️✅😁

We had an amazing two-week tour around Sri Lanka arranged through Mango Vacations, and our driver/guide Hasanka was absolutely fantastic from start to finish.
He was always on time, reliable, and exactly where he said he would be — we never had to worry about a thing. His local knowledge was excellent, and it was clear he knew people all over the country, which made getting into certain attractions much quicker and easier.
Hasanka was also genuinely friendly and easy to get along with; we even invited him to join us for dinner one evening, which was lovely. He kept us informed throughout the trip, always explaining the plan for the following day in detail so we knew exactly what to expect.
We also decided to add a couple of extra activities while we were there, and Hasanka made it all happen seamlessly, offering great recommendations along the way.
The only small area for improvement would be for Mango Vacations themselves — communication before the trip could have been better. We found we had to follow up a few times for final details such as our Ella train tickets and arrival arrangements. That said, once the tour started, everything ran perfectly thanks to Hasanka’s professionalism and organisation.
Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better guide or a more enjoyable experience exploring Sri Lanka. Highly recommend both Mango Vacations and especially Hasanka for anyone considering a tour of this beautiful country!

Vagira was an excellent guide who was very knowledgeable and helpful. He gave us plenty of options and was able to be flexible to accomodate all our requests. We had a very relaxing experience and the hotels were all very comfortable.

Vajira, our driver and guide was amazing. Nothing was too great or small an ask for him and he made sure we were comfortable and well-looked after for the entire tour. All of his recommendations were fantastic, and he had a knack for selecting great spots for local food.

I had an excellent 14 days tour in Sri Lanka with Samantha and Bandara as my drivers/guides. Traveling solo, I joined 2 others, as a group of three. I found the car comfortable and the tour pricing very reasonable. Both drivers were friendly, professional, and full of local knowledge, making the journey informative as well as enjoyable. There was flexiblity with my itinerary, allowing me to experience a wonderful mix of wildlife, cultural sites, and beautiful beaches at my own pace. I highly recommend their service for anyone visiting Sri Lanka.
