Excellent In EVERY Aspect
Jake and his team were totally professional in selling my house. They guided and helped me through the whole process.
Good communication throughout and went beyond their 'duties' in assisting with a smooth transaction when completing on the sale.
Thank you!!
I would highly recommend!

A home is supposed to be somewhere you can close the door to the troubles of the world..Mark Templer's estate agent never allowed this to happen.
Our story. Feb 2018 to August 2018
We were waiting for the sale of a property to go through which is why we ended up renting from Mark Templer. It was only after we had this truly awful experience when complete strangers in Clevedon told us how bad the agent was...so many people with so many bad experiences.
The agent does not care about people, only money..and life is about much more than money.
We have two little boys, one starting school this year so the location was important to us. We really love Clevedon and the people..really something special.
We found a little bungalow which we thought was ideal. We were told the landlord had never rented before but that was fine with us as we thought we had the unbiased protection of an estate agent..our mistake.
From the very beginning it was very clear Mark Templer's estate agent showed now duty of care towards us and all they cared about was the landlord and the money generated from his property.
~Before we even moved in, we were asked if we would allow a funeral to be held from the property. The landlord wanted us to open the garage door (where all our belongings were ) to allow people to stand inside!!!
~We had a problem with sewage in the garage and let the agent know. Their response was to " chill out and have a glass of wine". The girl sat at her desk in the office and told me it was rainwater, no assessment ..nothing until we sent the photographs to them!!
~The landlord visited two weeks after we moved in to fit blinds . We explained we didn't need the virgin TV package he had set up and he literally threw a tantrum in front of me stating it was " only £33 a month" .
~The landlord wanted to paint the property whilst we were living there, he requested this 11 days after we moved in. He said it would take two weeks (we never asked for this) and I explained to manager of lettings in Mark Templer if he couldn't behave himself whilst in my home for one hour, we did not want him to around the boys for two weeks.
~We were served notice after only three months of living in the property. Thanks to the fact that they served notice too early making the notice invalid, giving us time to find somewhere else.
This estate agent WILL NOT give you a ' How To Rent Guide' , a booklet from the government on how to act if the estate agent you are dealing is not professional. THIS IS A LEGAL REQUIREMENT AND IF THIS BOOKLET IS NOT PROVIDED IT MAKES A SECTION 21 NOTICE INVALID. This booklet is 11 pages. Instead , we were given a summary of the booklet (two pages) and a"Good Tenant Guide" ..their version of how to behave!
We went to the council who had their own comments and thoughts about this agent. They wrote to both the landlord and the agent and to their actions.
After seven months of living in the property, the agent wanted £563.13 of our deposit!! The place was immaculate!! A PIECE OF GRASS was on the bathroom floor and we were told it needed a cleaner. CRUMBS IN THE OVEN (NOT BURNT MARKS OR STAINS...CRUMBS!!!) were pointed out to us and we were told it needed a clean and again they tried to charge us They wanted £200 for a little flower bed wall, where is had fallen down. Thankfully we were able to provide photographs of every other existing wall in the garden which all had cracks so we didn't have to pay.
This is a complete scam on how to keep people's hard earned money.
Please stay away from this agent at all costs. I have only written one review on google before this review. It is really important for everyone to know what they are getting into by doing any kind of business with this agent.
Kind regards,
Rita
