WTH is going on with MATCH.COM
WTH is going on with MATCH.COM, no more distance stated but this: UNDERFINED MILES AWAY, what is this all about, I am looking for a dateable man within my area, NOT SOMEONE MILES AWAY.
MATCH.COM GET WITH THE PROGRAM, I WILL NOT BE RENEWING MY SUBSCRIPTION !!!!!!!!!
Disastrous format update
Recent update to format is a disaster. Can't read messages sent to me. Search function returns a handful of profiles when searching locally. Discover function provided profiles that don't appear to be active or are other end of the country. How does anyone match? I didn't sign up for this product. Are you going to waive remainder of my 6 month subscription?
It’s the worst dating site ever
It’s the worst dating site ever.
I have to pay the subscription for 6 months even when I am not using it - no cooling off period. The service is awful: messaging within the site is horrific; everyone I spoke to in my brief 24 hours on it commented how bad it is.
Match.com. Is it real
I signed up for match.com three weeks ago and I paid for subscription. Suddenly, out of nowhere, I couldn’t log into my account using the match.com app or online.
Every time I try to log in it says an unknown error has occurred and that’s it.
I have emailed match.com, first they said they couldn’t find my account, then they said it’s might be match uk even though I had been using the match.com app. I have sent them over and over again the details they need to find my account and they go silence on me. I need to know what’s happened to my account. Stop ignoring me please. If I have been blocked then say so and refund me my fee.
They keep asking for my details and I keep sending it then I hear nothing. I go online to find match uk but it takes me back to match:com.
I don’t know what to do or how to sort this out. I have tried to reset my password but am not getting any emails with link to use.
This is why I think I have been blocked. If so then what next. How can they say they can’t find me. Am starting to think it’s a scam
I purchased a subscription as I have…
I purchased a subscription as I have used Match before in other countries. Match Ireland subscription never allowed me to respond to any messages, ever. Even after buying a boost. I complained three times about it, as I kept getting initiating messages from people and I could not respond. I kept liking them, and they kept liking me, but I could not send or reply to one message. Match responded I should spruce up my profile and maybe some members just weren't interested. And yes, sure. But all of them? Even the ones that messaged me three times wondering why I liked them and hadn't responded? I finally got Paypal involved to cancel everything and complained...that's the only thing that worked and I got reimbursed. Do not use. All dating sites are better than this.
Not great
I hate that the search radius is as the crow flies. I live in Wales and almost 70% of the potential matches are from Ireland or Cornwall. Close in terms of direct miles but very far for a relationship. Also there is no Sort function. I can’t search for people with a particular criteria (ie: vegan or widowed or 6foot tall). Just keep being shown the same unsuitable profiles. Also can’t hide my profile without having to pay additional fees. Not that impressed.
MAtch/Ourtime dot com -SCAMS !! AVOID AVOID
Yet again there is no minus star so I have to give them one.
I joined Match, then joined Ourtime.
(A subsidiary of match)
The very limited search options are bad enough but they add insult to injury by using the same profiles over both sites.
As many others have found, the profiles lead nowhere but apparently there are always women wanting to get in touch with me!
I challenge everyone to find out how to close your account and stop payments.
This information is not available on any of their sites.
This is an absolute waste of money and you would be better off on Plenty of fish where you might have a chance at contacting a real person.
seriously, where do I start???
where do I start? recent structural changes to the site have made an already bad site - a million times worse. Firstly you are forced to look at profiles you have no interest in - thereby encouraging people to contct you when you have no interest in them. then I tried to buy some notes which let you contact people and they didn't function - and never arrived - and the customer service team never reply to the messages - so my messages that I paid for have been wasted. Its an absolute scandal that these people are allowed to continue to operate.
The 1 star is to many!
The 1 star is to many!! I had been with Match.com for quite a while, and I enjoyed it, met some lovely people and the site layout was very good. I recently found out the my payments went up without even been notified of any change. I was paying a one months subscription at £9.99, then it went up to £19.99 a month with a name change calling it a 6 months pass??? how they word it like that beats me. I am disgusted that they changed me double without informing me of any change or the opertunity to accept or decline the rise in subscription payment of which I would have thought that would be a legal way to go. So now I go down the road with legal action to retrieve my stolen money. If you have any sense stay clear, the site as changed for the worse and they rip you off.
Unable To Read Messages Unless You Pay
I did like Match.com because of all the possibilities - it has a lot of available women in my area. What I hated the most about Match.com, and why I gave it a 1-Star, is that once you pay for a subscription and write emails, only the women who are paid subscribers are able to read the letter.
So if you write to 10 women and none respond back you have no idea if she isn't interested or she is unable to read your letter.
Match.com doesn't let you know who is a paid subscriber.
Match.com is quite expensive. If you are paying all that money it seems that non-paying members should be able to read emails from the paid subscribers.
UPDATE
Match.com now lets unsubscribed people read emails as long as the sender pays for it. But I don't know if the emails that is sent lets the person know if they are able to read it or not.
What happened, Match?
Used to be much, much better. Customer service and programming quality have dropped precipitously. I have no idea as to what's gone down recently, but it's as though they're under new management - and not for the better. I give 2 stars only because when things are running well, despite their best efforts to screw user experience up, the site does afford the opportunity to meet people and, as there's a pay wall for contact features, they keep the lowest riff raff out. I think theis company still owns OKCupid.com, which is free. The user base at OKC is not as large and there's a certain percentage of scammers and "pros", but the site is well run and smartly designed and you're not out 45 bucks a month if you don't like it. Why they are listed here with a .dk address is a bit concerning.
Where can I find love? Because its not on this site!
I know my name is Karen so everyone expects me to be one. I moved to Ireland last year from the USA and chose match because its also in in the USA, I have never felt like I have wasted so much money and time then dealing with this company, I asked to speak with management or the owner, I even went to their offices and they wouldn't let me in, I just wanted to explain that for the money I paid all I was sent was a bunch of unemployed crazy people. One guy lived in a hostel!!
Such a waste of time and money, no love, stupid dates, terrible customer care... im not using the apps because they are just as bad, if someone can recommend another company id appreciate it. I dont always complain but for once I felt that I needed to be a Karen. So embarrassing because my work colleagues found my profile! Is there no privacy any more. It literally made me so mad I kicked my cat. THANKS MATCH.
Cancel subscription not working
Very expensive for very low service. Subscription-cancel-page is not working, so you have to lock the credit card.
Their algorithms severely limit what…
Their algorithms severely limit what you can say about them. I matched with twenty guys and only two talked to me. But I got matches in my emails all the time. Money machine for sure, maybe it didn’t use to be but it is now.
They will rip you off on fees with…
They will rip you off on fees with small print that's impossible to understand. I was charged for a second month although I cancelled at the incredible fee of £49.89!!!! Yes, you read it right! The site is in decline and not worth £10 a month!
Match.com holds referrals messages from me.
Here is an update regarding my experience with Match.com. I have been getting very few referrals. The ones I get are not my preference. The majority live quite a distance from me. Just this afternoon Match notified me with about 4 referrals that supposedly messaged me. Upon trying to reply to them, a pop up would stop me from sending my message. They are requiring that I subscribe again. If you recall I unsubscribed because of their terrible service. They wouldn't refund my money so I'm held to yet a little over a week. And now they aren't allowing messages to come through. You can be sure I'll be writing again.
This is a scam and they are desperate…
This is a scam and they are desperate to keep taking your money even after expiration of the subscription. I cancelled last Sept 21 but they keep taking my money saying it would expire in March 22 but after that they keep taking my money and I challenged them but they said it would now expire in September. This company should not be allowed to operate because they are criminals. They don't reply to messages when it comes to stopping them from taking money. I just spoke with the bank and I have to cancel my card because of this criminals. Why are these people allowed to operate? PURE SCAM
Pure scam
Pure scam, when you first sign up, there are lots of women, once you have signed up they all disappear and as previously mentioned there are ladies of a certain age looking for youngsters hahahaha
Then when you cancel they say they will keep charging the monthly fee, I have had to cancel my credit card.
It's just another dating scam
Shame on them
Not free
Commercial says 7 day Free Trial. But then you have to pay to message women. Terrible service.
Full of people with unrealistic…
Full of people with unrealistic expectations, e.g old ladies looking for old men with "athletic bodies".
