Been five days and company hasn't even shipped my item. This is the kind of place that you pay to have your item received in a specific amount of time, and when they get your money, they take their sweet time getting the items shipped off. I ordered from several different vendors on the same day I did this one, all of them, my items are already in the mail. I could have gotten better service from Amazon. This will be the last time I use this company for anything!

Bought a grow Tent kit
Flimsy, Very poor quality,cheap, piece dont line up. Not easy to put together when it should be. Price point way to high for the product you get. Very disappointed.

Every product with the kit I have had to replace with the exception of the tub, however I still had to drill new holes into it and cover up the premade ones. The products were so cheap and ineffective its a wonder they stay in business. It doesn't even include everything you need. Total failure.

Just started buying from them I had a issue with changing my order and they were Very Helpful and changed my order Can't wait to get my supplies,I will be buying from them in the future

Very bad service

Nice to talk to on the phone possibly because they’re eating mushrooms? Anyway, shipping is ridiculously slow and I’ve been told twice that UPS has picked up my package and every time I try to track it it says UPS still waiting to receive package. I’m under the impression that this is just a big gross supply company who talks to big story but they’re really selling consumer grade stuff getting out as much as they can to as many people as possible. I think there are many companies that are much better suited to people who are serious about my psychology and growing edible mushrooms.

The grain spawn bags are garbage. First order was extremely wet, with a puddle on the bottom. I had to use seedling heat mat to steam excess water out of the bag for 3 days. The next order they were completely dry. Customer service tried to say they were fine, it was just a shipment of different grain that was darker. ???? First of all, there’s 5 different grains, which one of the “darker” grains made the bag so dry? The grains looked fine, they just didn’t soak them before sterilizing. I ordered Friday morning as they were opening, and they didn’t ship until the following Tuesday due to Monday being Labor Day.
If they shipped midday Tuesday, that tells me that they didn’t soak for 12 hours like I’ve read in my research. They just put dry grain in a bag and sterilized it… unsuccessfully.

They shipped different Grove bags than what’s pictured on the site…. blaming Grove saying they gave them the clear ones instead of.. the CSR tried convincing me that Grove said these clear bags were UV protected. No thanks. Sounds like bullcrap.
Much of what I ordered from them was low quality… alcohol lamp kit is a waste at 14$. The UV-C lamp is plastic and functions differently from their website description.

I wrote many reviews on the products I bought… some bad, some mediocre, some good.
They don’t post the bad reviews, which is why the crap they have is highly rated. I wonder how many other people wrote 1 star reviews only to have it not posted on the site.
The grain spawn bags really get me angry… how long you been selling them?? And you don’t have them dialed in yet?

There’s a vendor on Amazon that sells their grain spawn bags, and many, many others have given them a one star rating. They say the same thing… “too dry” or “too wet”. The bags are in a box labeled as Midwest Organic, and MGK.

The CSR did agree to send me the Grove storage bags shown on their website in the end.
But I’m truly done wasting money on their stuff.
OutGrow is getting all my business from now on. Sorry I didn’t stick with them… my buddy steered me wrong.

Bad customer service and don't stand behind their products. I've had issues with a few of their products and they ignore problems. I've grown for years and bought grain bags from them that won't inoculate. Followed their directions and they are in one of their temperature regulated eco systems, which has also had issues they won't address. Been over 3 months with zero signs of growth. I've reinjected spore as they recommended, even used an easy grow variety and still nothing. Midwest Grow Kits response after they initially stated they would replace the bags if needed is the spores must be bad, which they are not, and have stopped communicating.
So as long as things work they are helpful but won't stand behind their products and have bad customer service.

Great products, fast shipping, always sterile, and always good prices. Would cost me at least x2 as much to buy the equipment that comes in their kits or the vegetation in their bags. Been using them since 2012 and couldn't recommended them higher enough.

This casing mix is FAR above anything else out there! I've purchased from OutGrow, Amazon, Shroom Supply and Ebay sellers over the last 2 years and Midwest's casing just is amazing! I see growth faster, zero contamination issues, its packed professioanlly and the moisture content is spot on. 10 stars if I could. I literally ONLY buy this stuff.

First time grow was fool proof using the 44qt Monotub complete kit! I feel like this is very telling because beginners frequently have struggles.

Used the YouTube guide videos linked to their website and had great success. Im immediately hooked; I’ve gone from 1 tub to 4 tubs in a couple months; I’m 5 for 5 in successful grows through Midwest!

This Kit is top of the line for the price and doesn’t get much easier than this, especially for beginners, and free shipping! You can’t beat it! Highly recommend and will be buying much more items from this company! And the best part and kind of a surprise to me My First real life Chem teacher(kinda a joke but kinda the truth! Sad but true! Cause school didn’t teach me half of what this guy has) he does the how to video! Or at least does the voice over! Gordo Tek! My Man! Loved everything about this kit and the whole process! It was nice to hear the familiar voice!

I absolutely loved the kit, I grew my mushrooms successfully on my first try with no previous experience. Thanks to their detailed instructions it was all very easy and straightforward. It has everything you need for the whole process, I just added one extra timer and a couple of extension cords for more convenience.

This carefully assembled kit has everything needed to grow a large batch of mushrooms. What's nice is the flexibility- you can grow a big batch of gourmet or medicinal mushrooms or whatnot with this kit. The pre-assembled and sterilized jars are especially convenient and worth paying for. I just don't have the time and equipment to make the jars myself. Also loved that the plastic container had pre-drilled holes (I would've made a mess trying to do that myself) and easy to follow instructions arrived with the kit. I've ordered from this store in the past and have always enjoyed excellent products as well as decent customer care. Shipping was prompt despite the fact that they have to assemble and sterilize the jars fresh for each order.

Its now been exactly 40 days since I received my Mega kit from Midwest and UV sterilizer. I inoculated my shrooms right away and I just took them out of the jars. They all have startted to grow in the jars even before I birthed them!! I am so frickin stoked right now! Thanks so much!! Your kits do NOT disappoint! The boomers will be booming! ;-)

This kit has everything you need to grow mushrooms. The kit was put together really nice with good products. I used 6 of the spawn jars and every single one colonized 100% and are producing mushrooms right now. These people shipped my kit within 1 day of receiving my order and that really impressed me.If you are looking for a mushroom grow kit, look no farther than midwest grow kits. These people are great, and their kits are first class, and they are well worth the money.

Bought this kit back in March, UPS damaged the box and the bin was cracked, but got a replacement a few days later. Thank you Emily! But this kit has literally everything you need, had some pretty amazing and enlightening results! I decided to try a bulk grow with spawn bags and the nice part is you can easily convert the Mega kit into a pretty large bulk grow. I ordered 4 spawn bags and 4 bags of casing mix for my bulk grow project. A good tip to incubate spawn bags in the Mega container is to make sure you elevate the spawn bags off the bottom so they dont get too hot on the bottom of the bag since the plastic is so thin compared to glass jars. I just used a few 1' thick books to line the bottom, and just placed the bags on top. My spawn bags took about 5 weeks to fully colonize and I basically just followed the bulk guide, the spawn bags crumbled up pretty easily, just used my hands and mixed in the casing one bag at a time. I had little casing left over but the ratios seemed pretty dead on. I let it sit in the dark and its been about 5 days and im already seeing tons of white mycellium poking through! I will post back when I get a total yield for this grow! All in all this kit is well worth it if you plan on doing more growing down the road! Humidifier system is awesome and actually think it will be even better with a bulk grow!

Slow responding on Instagram and after 6 days I was told to send them an email. I purchased 6 blocks so far and most went well. Ignored and passed off when I had a complaint about one I received and I wasn't even asking for a refund. Just wanted to know if I could salvage anything. There are better company's out there.
