I ordered a Midwestern grow kit and 10 of my jars was contaminated.so becareful I'm very disappointed.

The absolute worse. Shipping takes over a week even if paid for express shipping.

They ‘print’ the label but it does not ship total BS

My experience with Midwest Grow Kits and Organics has been amazing. From my multiple online orders with them, to the time I visited them in person, they have been a joy to deal with and have worked with me on any issues I have ever had. They also stayed late for me on a time where I was visiting to pickup in store and had their warehouse staff help me after hours.

In addition, they have been responsive and quickly responded to any questions that I had.

I would highly recommend them for anyone on a mycology journey. Prices are decent. Service is awesome and their facility was fantastic to see too. Highly impressed.

Prices were fair and shipping was fast for the grow kit I ordered. Was really happy at first but after a couple of months the timer stopped working right and after a little over six months the heater stopped working. Now I have to buy replacements. Extremely low quality products- would not recommend

Midwest Grow Kits consistently produces low-quality and overpriced products. But even worse, this company lies about their processing and shipping times which costs our volunteer mycology event hundreds of dollars. They then refuse to issue a refund after admitting that their processing times were much slower than what they advertise. Extremely dishonest people

Just placed my 5th order from Mid West. I always receive my orders promptly and the quality and prices are excellent. Example: I had 2 unused spawn bags sitting around for 9 months (room temp). They suggest much less time. The bags still performed great, no mildew or mold-no problem!

Midwest Grow kits sent everything quickly and they had everything I paid for. They have simple steps to walk you through the process and it made it fairly easy. Their online store is excellent for additional products that come quickly and discretely.

Yes, some pros on internet forums will say you don't need these kits, but they help starters tremendously. Tubs are not hard to make, but cutting them can be a pain without proper tools and substrate isn't easy for us city folk. Midwest gets it all done for you so you can get simply to growing your edible or medicinal mushrooms.

They provide a good setup for people who are new to cultivating mushrooms, but from my experience they were pretty incompetent with the shipping process.

Terrible customer service

Do not order from Midwest Growkits. Their customer service is atrocious, especially from the guy I'm dealing with named Joe. I placed my order almost two weeks ago. When looking at the tracking, it was obvious that they lost my package. I informed midwest that my package was lost and requested a new shipment be sent out. They refused saying my package was still set to be delivered on their end. I informed them of the obvious inconsistency of the logistics and that there was no way the order would be delivered in an acceptable timeframe. They were not willing to send out a new order without confirmation from fedex. The next day I recieved said confirmation from fedex that they were not able to complete the delivery. I sent that to midwest immediately and never got a reply. Two days later I sent an email requesting they cancel the order all together and refund my money. Joe actually replied this time saying that my package was still scheduled to be delivered and they would not do anything about it until they recieved confirmation from fedex. I replied reminding him that i sent the confirmation from fedex on the canceled order and once again have not heard anything back from Joe. I've spent a couple thousand dollars with this company over the last few months and this experience and the sheer lack of professionalism from their supposed customer service representative Joe have made me decide to take my business elsewhere and never give this place another dime.

Just like the other negative review on google posted, they will not display your negative reviews on their products. Who knows how many they have because they delete them.

I have ordered many times from Midwest and have had more bags and jars with contam already in them when I’ve got them. I’ve lost hundreds. I will also let you know I work in a very sterile environment, lab setting with flow hood and all. Nothing but bad product. I will never use them again and suggest you don’t either. Not a good company didn’t respond in my last email, so I am going after them financially. DONT USE THIS Compay

This is a super solid company. I have placed several orders with them over the last couple of months, and customer service has been excellent. Put it this way, I usually don't write reviews, but I've been so happy with MGK that I feel like I needed to.

My buying experience has been excellent with Midwest. They have been quick to ship, excellent with timely advice when I had questions, and one time when jars had contamination they immediately replaced. In the mush hobby, contaminants are just part of what happens and everyone should expect that once in a while. But it's how quickly Midwest responded and cured the problem that proved to me they are a great company. For the record - I don't know them and am a bona fide customer. They get 5 stars from me.

My experience with Midwest is great. They sent everything I have ordered with great speed and now I have a successful crop. I bought the Ultimate grow kit and everything worked as stated.

I should mention that the aquarium heater they sent me was defective so I had to purchase a different one on Amazon. I emailed them and told them about this and they sent me a $15 coupon to use on my next purchase since I had already bought a new heater. I would highly recommend Midwest if you are looking to buy a kit. I know I am definitely going through them for my next order.

I have seen best ever service providers of Mushroom kits. I have ordered for kits they give me quick response. Along with growing experts advisory. Thank you so much.

UPDATE 5/4/21:

When I posted my review, Midwest immediately flagged it as spam and I had to go through the rigamarole with Trustpilot, providing proof of purchase and pictures to document my experience. This process took nearly a month.

If you look at these reviews it's easy to tell that a majority of them are fakes. The users are all accounts with one review and they all read uncannily alike repeating the same turn of phrase. THIS IS AN UNTRUSTWORTHY BUSINESS PEOPLE!

Untrustworthy.

I ordered their ultimate kit off thier site. It arrived well after they said it would. They sent me a review request before the kit even arrived.

When the kit did finally arrive, a majority of the spawn jars were already moldy or contaminated. When I tried contacting Midwest I did not receive a response. When I tried leaving a review on their website, it was deleted. When I left a review on Facebook it was also deleted. When I tried to contact them through Facebook, I was blocked.

I don't doubt that a significant number of people have had a genuinely positive experience with midwest but I will never give another dollar to a business that conducts themselves with such blatant dishonesty in reaction to a negative customer experience.

Please strongly consider taking your money elsewhere.

These guys are hands down the best company for first timers and inexperienced growers Midwest has an amazing costumer service they’ll answer all your questions and walk you through your first grow and if anything is wrong on their end they’ll gladly right their wrongs compared to other companies newer ones especially out there right now that are charging any where from two hundred to three hundred for a fully automated mono tub these guy give you what you pay for every time they are not out to make a bunch of money an leave a bad taste in peoples mouth like gorillakits.com are known for....do your research and you’ll see these cats have been doing this a really long time and there’s a very solid reason why and that’s because they take care of their customers through and through love you guys Midwest 4 life!!!!!
