Millets - Newark Reviews 

Hi - I was at the Newark Millets a fortnight ago to get some trekking poles. I ended up buying a pair of Lekis and it was all down to the help of Becky and Vicky at the store. They managed me and other customers between them and made us feel at the heart of things. 1 of them spoke of her mother's experience with Lekis and was really helpful at showing me how they worked. They were 1st class helpful sales asistants. I am thinking of getting the same for my wife as a result.

Sandra and all the staff were very helpful and very understanding when my husband and myself tried several pairs of walking boots on. We were made to feel like nothing was any trouble and all of us including the dog were made to feel very welcome.

Millets Newark have wonderful customer care. I recently had a problem with a returns (this had been done at a different store but the refund had not come through) Vicky and Becky, from the Newark Millets store, could not have been more helpful - this involved several phone calls to customer care and the other store to resolve the issue over a couple of days. They were consistently helpful, polite and solution focused. Whilst I was in the store I spoke to another customer who confirmed what a friendly helpful team they are.
Thank you Vicky and Becky.
I will certainly go back to the Newark store.

I had some world class customer service Vicky at the newark millets. She helped me pickup a new hat and some other bits while my baby boy was being a bugger.
Made him smile. Sold me the hat he liked. Made time for some small talk which really made her approachable.

I have always found the staff in Millets to be so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.
I went into the store on Monday with some faulty walking boots. After they'd been looked at it was agreed that I could have a replacement, no quibbling.
What a nice easy customer service and shopping experience.

Very good service and great range of products on sale..staff very friendly helpful and knowledgeable.. Will definitely be going there again...

Excellent Customer Service and great product

I went to Millets to buy a new pair of walking boots as the last pair I bought, were from a sports store, and they failed after 13 months.
The staff were friendly and polite and kindly explained why we were not allowed to be left alone with the boots due to previous thefts.
The boots were reduced from £180.00 to £145.00 They are sturdy, supportive and comfortable and good quality leather.
If I need any other outdoor equipment I know were to go.

I recently purchased walking shoes at Millets in Newark. I have difficulty in getting a comfortable fit owing to the shape of my feet and always hope for a very patient assistant. I wasn’t disappointed when Claire/Clare arrived to help. She was friendly and most helpful in bringing a number of pairs for me to try. I was happy to be successful and have found the right ones. Not so successful with the trousers as the choice of lightweight walking trousers was limited in both colour and size. Thank you Claire/ Clare for your patience

Really helpful and knowledgeable staff, thank you for your assistance. We were purchasing items for my sons first scouts camping experience so their advice was most welcome.

Last minute dash for D of E walking boots to Newark millets with 15 minutes to spare before closing time. There was a good range of boots with a good range of prices. Rebecca couldn't have been more helpful answering all our questions and not rushing us along but making sure my son was sorted with the best boots for his requirements.
She encouraged us to a few add on products recommending socks and high protein/sugar snacks for my boys first 10k hike.

I was looking for walking shoes or boots unsure which would be best for me.
Sandra was the assistant and extremely helpful.
I tried my usual shoe size but could feel my toe at the end. She immediately said they would not be right and a bigger size would be better. While the boots felt too heavy the shoes were much better.
I decided walking socks would be useful too, so Sandra asked about the type of walking I did then guided me towards ones on offer that would suit my lifestyle.
Sandra's friendly and approachable manner meant I felt under no obligation at any time. She also asked if I was a member of National Trust or in the NHS in case she could offer me any further discounts.

Had just the sort of boots I was looking for - fabric, medium price and, of course, comfortable ... and I got my Scouts' discount! Quick and cheerful service from Francis who found my size right away. Pleasant shopping experience - thank you.
