As we approached renewal, I had to call the company twice to ask for a renewal quote. Nothing came, and after a week I received an email from them asking me to call them. I was abroad, and asked them to email me the renewal quote and payment link. Nothing came, so I emailed them again twice, and no responses received. I then received an email telling me my insurance had now lapsed, urgh.
I called them when I returned to the UK, and they told me my insurance had lapsed, and that I'd need to get another quote. I told them I'd not yet had a quote. So we started all over again. I eventually received an email with a quote, and bank payment information, and paid yesterday.
It's now the following day and I need to drive the vehicle for work. I've not yet received a payment receipt, or any insurance documents to check (I need to pay first!) so I have no idea what my excess is etc. I also have no idea when the vehicle is covered.
So I call up again and I'm told to wait until their accounts dept finally contacts the renewals team to say the payment is made, and for that team to email me the insurance documents. She couldn't say when that would be, couldn't pass me to the accounts dept, and couldn't help in any other way.
So I have had to cancel my day of driving, and sit on my hands and hope someone from the renewals team finally emails me.
