Brilliant service and communication from Mommatruckerskates everytime I have ordered from them. Clear guidance was on website when I ordered skates that were on pre order. Can't wait until I can shop in person.

I had to pursue a refund for a defective item via Paypal as this seller did not responded via our email exchanges with an appropriate solution. Similar to other reviewers, when I emailed to say that the item I received is defective, the seller seemed to have trouble responding to me in a timely manner.

I sent multiple cordial emails asking if she could kindly provide a return label to me so that I can send these back as they are clearly broken...with no response. After my second attempted email, she responded with tips to fix them, all of which I have tried to no avail. To which I provided photo evidence that the light-up wheels I received DO NOT light up, and not only that, but they DO NOT fit onto my skates, even following the tips she provided! They are defective and unable to be used. It takes 1 second as a reputable business to send a customer a return label, apologise that the item is defective, and solve the issue.

The Consumer Rights Act 2015 makes it an implied term of the contract that goods be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. Any returns policy that says I have to cover the cost of returning items must only relate to the situation where I change my mind about the item ordered and not where there is a problem with the item. The seller refused to reimburse me return postage. I HAD TO PAY TO RETURN THE DEFECTIVE ITEM! The seller oddly claimed I had changed my mind even though I provided unequivocal evidence the product was faulty.

I sent the item back paying for first class postage and the next day the seller sent me photos of pink wheels lighting up saying that the item works perfectly fine. Unfortunately, I cannot support the claims the seller made making that they work 'perfectly fine.' Considering that my experience as a customer has been less than satisfactory, I do not have confidence that the wheels the seller video taped are the same wheels I returned back to her.

After my experience here, I seriously doubt the legitimacy of this company. I would never order form here again. I am left out of pocket for an item that was defective.

Amazing service and communication. Also the only place in the UK that has the wheels I wanted. You can tell this small business is run with love and devotion.

The store owners are lovely and very helpful, they even let me pick a different pair of skates then what I ordered so that I could get it earlier. They even gifted some stickers!

Ordered skate wheels only a week before xmas 2020, and despite covid lockdowns and postal delays, received them in good time for xmas gift. Thankyou Momma trucker skates!!

Just wanted to say a massive thank you to Momma Trucker Skates what a brilliant and outstanding customer service I received from this small, but efficient independent British owned firm.

I received my skate wheels,(luminous LED wheels to skate in my local park and be visible) and they delivered. I was emailed straight after my purchase before to inform me of my order and before I knew it my parcel arrived (signed for delivery) but Most importantly promptly, despite postal distruption.

Thank you for making my lockdown worthwhile.

I will be returning my custom along with my skate crew.

Purchased a set of skates for our daughters 10th birthday, contacted the store prior to ordering due to the pandemic etc on November 7th, store confirmed we would receive the skates “no problem at all” before the end of the month and certainly by our daughters birthday on December 2nd. So based on their confirmation we would definitely receive them in time despite the pandemic etc we went ahead and placed the order online paying the £135! Yes a lot for skates but we were assured these where fantastic and our daughter would love them.

Despite emailing the store numerous times over the past 4 weeks all we have been told is they are delayed due to the pandemic! When emailing the store to remind them of what they had initially confirmed to us we are told there is nothing they can do! So annoyed with them, they assured us we would have them in time. The night before her birthday here we are still nothing, just an email explaining that somehow the fact that there is a pandemic etc etc that justifies them misinforming us at the point of sale.

For some reason now after requesting a full refund to allow us to purchase something elsewhere they have stopped replying on email!

We based our decision to purchase from this company purely on the fact that despite everything that’s happening with everything we would have them in a couple of weeks. One month on still nothing!

Save your money and honestly buy elsewhere. Can’t help but feel they just told us what we wanted to hear to get us to buy from them.

Reported to citizens advice and now having to seek further advice as they haven’t replied to email and no answer at all on landline despite trying to call repeatedly this week each day

I ordered some Seba Pro Igor skates. MT skates were the only place in the UK that stocked them in a 36 for my tiny piggy trotter feet. There was a delay due to covid but Kate did explain this, despite my brusque email. I received the skates one week after ordering. Kate also threw in some goodies to make up for the delay. The skates fit like a glove and I don't have to fret about whether I just wear 2 insoles in a larger size and hope for the best. Thanks Kate!

Excellent This store is great I am a skateboarder in Exeter and I recently had an accident involving me and a bike and my helmet was damaged and I needed to buy a new one so I looked online and I saw that this shop was close to my area was greeted by a very nice lady who offered me several different helmets. Have now got a very nice S1 lifer helmet

Top notch advice, always a friendly welcome. Online ordering is great, having the option for delivery or collection from store; a real bonus when in lockdown. Bought multiple sets of skates and accessories for myself and family members. A real hub of the local skate community, Momma trucker and her team have years of skate experience to draw upon.

Absolutely fantastic customer service, my daughter had just started out skating with the Roller Derby club and both Kate and her mum bent over backwards to help Georgina get the right skates for her and kit too! Nothing was too much trouble, real traditional family run business the way customer service like how it used to be. Will definitely shop here for all our future skate purchases. Thank you

Fantastic shop. Never had a problem with it.
Kate and Steph both do all they can to make sure that their customers are happy with their purchases.
Even in these difficult times they are doing all they can to make sure they get back to messages and emails and keep up with it all.

They need all the support they can always like to know that they have given the customers what they need .

Love this shop, went in looking to buy derby kit and skates, They spent ages talking me through kit and helping me find skates to fit my awkwardly shaped feet. Couldn’t be happier with the skates I ended up with and the service I received.

Awful customer experience. Pre ordered a board based on stock arrival for 12/09/2020. As of today 17/10/2020 still no item abs awful comms. Requested refund due to the order being unfulfilled by Momma Truckers and because it’s a preorder they still didn’t refund me in full despite the fact the board in demand and on back order for many other people.

Reported to trading standards.

Agree with the other reviews on here, had to same experience ordering a pre-order item. Waited patiently 4 weeks until the dispatch date. Didn’t hear anything, so a few days later I emailed to ask if it was on the way. Eventually got some correspondence, blaming the manufacturer and Covid. Yes we all know there’s a pandemic, but an update for your customers who have paid you their money would be courteous.

I was understanding of the situation, but they could not give me a definite date so I needed to cancel the order and buy elsewhere, which I think any other company would have been understanding. I liked the selection on the site and I would have ordered from them in the future. Unfortunately an alternative item was out of stock on their site, which is why I chose not to exchange as they were in stock elsewhere.

Received a sarcastic email and NOT a full refund. They said I agreed to pay 20% in the T&C’S. this should actually have been mentioned when I requested the cancellation, but it was not. This isn’t actually legal, especially when the item wasn’t dispatched when originally agreed. You can sell that item again full price, yet I’ve lost money and received nothing.

Very unprofessional and seem to think they don’t have to take any responsibility because of the pandemic. Sorry that’s not how business works, as another reviewer said, that is actually theft.

Never in all my life have I experienced such rude and aggressive sellers as with Momma Trucker Skates. It is a shame as I thought i would order from them to support a small business during Covid but they are appalling. If you view their Google reviews, how they reply to customers you will see how they talk to people.

I saw some pink and white skates on their website which were listed as "Pink and White Skates Pre order". In bold it also said "we have one size 4 available, all other sizes are pre order only". I thought i would double check with them that the size 4 was indeed still available before ordering, as I didnt want to pre order.

I emailed politely to ask if the 'size 4 pink and white was 'in stock' to which I received a reply which said 'our website says size 4 is available, all other sizes are pre order only".

At the time I did think that was quite a short and impolite reply to a customer, I should have trusted my instincts but decided to place the order anyway as the size and colour I wanted was in stock as they had just confirmed the pink and white was available.

I waited 3 weeks with no update, I emailed to ask if the skates would soon be despatched to no reply. I thought they must be busy with covid so I left it a week. I emailed again on the same email trail as I had previously emailed (asking if the size 4 pink and white was in stock and they had replied that the website said it was available).

I then received a horrible reply which started 'the website clearly states skates are pre order only'. I politely replied that if they read my email below, they would see that I had in fact asked if the one size 4 was in stock to which they had said it was available.

I then received another rude reply where I was told that 'available' didn't mean 'available' and that it meant 'available to pre order'. If 'avaialble' means pre order then why didn't they elaborate on their email to me when i asked if the skates were in stock!!?

I said i was unhappy as I had email to check and I received another reply to say 'customers are not reading properly and quite frankly they've lost count of who has ordered'.

I think this is so rude, they never apologised or admitted they were in the wrong. They continued to argue with me and said that the pink and white was never available and hadnt been since before covid.

In the end they refunded me part of my money but kept £13 to themselves as they said that was the price (20%) of me cancelling a pre order!!! This is theft.

Its absolutely shocking that they talk to customers in such an aggressive manner, argue with them and then steal money. If they would learn how to communicate properly and the difference in the word 'available' and 'pre order' or be clearer in their listing then there wouldn't be a problem.

I see the customer who has written below has also said how they stole delivery money for items never sent out.

Avoid them at all costs.

Don't believe anything that is said below, I started to read it and it just started out as complete lies, I cant be bothered to read past the first paragraph and waste anymore time on them.
