Avoid at all costs. Their business model relies on keeping hold of customer security deposits. The booking system also sneakily makes you think that you have paid in full at first confirmation. It then slowly attempts to eek out more money from you nearer the time of your rental period by suggesting upgrades which you would have expected as standard e.g. newer motorhome less that 10 years old for an additional £100, add damage waiver for £50, etc. all within a week you are due to rent. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!

Had a slight misunderstanding with this company due to technical difficulties beyon their control. Sharon swiftly and kindly resloved the issue and we are delighted with their after sales customer service. I applaud you Sharon!

I would give it less if that was possible. Did not return my £2500 deposit until I contacted my credit card fraud team. Sadly only read the reviews after we had booked and gone away.....

SCAM SCAM SCAM This company trades under many names, see below reviews for more detail. I booked in December for a May holiday and got an email a few days later with a link which when opened said YOUR BOOKING IS CANCELLED the company had gone into administration and how to claim via credit card or bank for your money. I then had a call from another company saying they had bought out company no 1 (Motorholm hire) and a change of collection site and to ignore the original emails as they were being sent automatically! Guess What? you got it, when lock down was not lifted and I tried to get our money back we got the we have gone into administration email again. They didn't even bother to change the trading name. SCAM SCAM SCAM. should be reported I am sure this is illegal

Filing for insolvency. I had to claim my £1250 deposit back from my credit card company. Horrible company to deal with.

This company is actually Unbeatable Hire Limited according to its company registration number 04306649 or Hire Booking Centre under company registration number 07994025, which trades under a multitude of online names or partnered / affiliated online companies which Include:

There are probably more online trading names that I have not had the time to research yet, when I do, I will update this review.

I booked a Motorhome at the beginning of December for a four night hire in February, through Motorhome Express, I even had the booking confirmed by e-mail which told me I had to book a telephone interview with them, to talk to through my booking details with them, which I did.

Two weeks later, I received an e-mail from their Hire Administrator reminding me to 'CHECK IN' but when you try to do this, you get linked to a new webpage "HIRE CHECK IN" and this message THIS BOOKING HAS BEEN CANCELLED "Due to ongoing issues, we are unable to process credit card payments nor deposit refunds at this time. Unfortunately due to this situation, Unbeatablehire is filing notice for insolvency."

Then a list of things to do to attempt to get your money back from your card company.

I had not even heard of Unbeatable Hire Limited and there is no mention of the parent company on the booking website, and if thats not bad enough, considering they claim to have filed for administration, they are still trading and I can even make a booking online today through every one of the compaines trading names.

I notice within each email I received, there is also a CC recipient to this link "emailtosalesforce@24x5j9rtle79r77cpibtghbuv. in.salesforce.com" and I have been receiving this same e-mail every for the last 17 days, all with the same result.

I am not the only person that has booked a Motorhome and after the money has been taken, have received an e-mail informing them the hire has been cancelled.

TOTAL SCAM and in my opinion the company is trading fraudulently and ripping of the credit card companies (I paid by credit card so get my money back) or if you paid by debit card, rippin off YOU!

There is even a 'RIP OFF Britain' video hosted by Gloria Hunniford on youtube which gives you an idea of this company and how it treats its customer, in my case it looks like they gone to a new scam.

Great motor home at a reasonable rate however I'm now in a fight to get my £1250 deposit back. Pleading insolvency so i might nip to the depot and tow away a 2018 5 berth camper, thoughts? These scammers require a lesson in decency, anyone coming? Address is online. Bourn, Cambridgeshire....

STAY WELL CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY, I have been waiting for my deposit refund , which they have held on to for 5 weeks , they had the cheek to put a £48 post parking Fee on ??? . You can’t Speak to any one in person , you have to speak via live chat , When I finally got hold of someone they credited my deposit , seems like they were just trying to squeeze extra money out of the deposit hoping I was going to let it go.I still haven’t received my deposit and they are now telling me I will have to claim it back from my bank as they have into insolvency !!! STAY AWAY AS THIS COMPANY IS STILL TRADING YOU CAN STILL BOOK ONLINE AND THEY ARE QUICK ENOUGH TAKING YOUR MONEY.

Got an email yesterday saying they are filing for insolvency and that they will not refund any money due. Contact credit card company.
Posted the same yesterday as well, but post has disappeared??

Just seen this on another review page under MOTORHOMEHIRE. Looks like all their sister companies have gone into INSOLVENCY!!! Try calling this number 01223 930135 to vent

I cant believe this company still are trading. My credit card company's security provided 750 pounds back. You will have to battle to get your security money back.Why are they still trading?. Please credit card company withdraw their license so no one gets ripped off again. I really would lobby MP's to shut this company down. If my credit card company hadn't refunded me.

Booked a campervan with this company for Christmas and paid deposit, got email yesterday cancelling booking due to an emergency recall of vehicles. I was told to seek refund through my card provider as they can't refund? Tried to call = No reply Live chat = cut off 4 times. Asked for another vehicle or solution and was told to go to card company for refund...no vehicles available and problems with their insurance....So I went online where they allowed me to reserve x3 vehicles for same date same price and I took pictures to prove it !!!! Sounds like the rest I was scammed too. Use at your own risk, I AM NOT A TROLL EITHER LIKE OTHERS HAVE BEEN ACCUSED OF.

Company in liquidation?
Received cancellation notice by SMS. Contacted the live chat, eventually got a reply to say contact card company to issue a chargeback. Barclays advised company is in liquidation. Not a good idea to book anything through here or any of its subsidiaries!!

Booked a Motorhomes months ago for two weeks. Received an email cancelling the order with less than a weeks notice. You can only communicate through a web chat and get nowhere!!! Hate being scammed but feel that I have been caught this time.

Hired their van for 7 days starting on a Friday but had to return the following Thursday morning (11am)because someone else wanted it that Thursday so had to cut our trip short. the 2 stars I’ve given was for the van condition only everything else was below that . You are charged for anything and everything even for driving convictions from the past, deposit took over 60 days to be returned and will never ever get near them again .KEEP AWAY!!

Would have been good to be told when I booked for March that the company was planning a half price discount for winter bookings. Just 10 days after I booked and paid my deposit the company discounted bookings for March by 50 per cent. To add insult to injury the new sales department rang me to offer me the same booking for the price I had just paid for the deposit not realising I had already booked. Poor show Motorholme. Left a bad taste. Be warned if you want to book for any period Dec to March hold out for the discounts. I’m hoping me experience will improve from here going forward because I’m not impressed so far.

I think these are a gd Company and look after you and there prices are not betten
