I’ve given one star as I didn’t use the actual service just used it for a quote.
We have our own Motorhome but are considering selling it as we are not using it enough to warrant its costs.
I wanted to find out how much it would cost to hire one for the Grand Prix weekend. After looking at the quote we’ve decided to keep ours, until at least July!
I cannot comment on hire ease/problems or return costs like other reviewers but found the quotes expensive - but maybe this is the case for all Motorhome hire companies as I was put off trying any more by looking at this one quote.
Not sure how much help this review is but would just like to add, we’ve loved our Motorhome and what it’s given us it’s just that we now prefer to go to our tourer which is sited in Cornwall.

Very easy to deal with very helpful staff at the depot and on the phone, van was clean an test when we picked it up...everythibg was explained to me by the guys at the depot How everything worked and where everything was! Just waiting to see of they pull my arm off for a cracked wing mirror when I miss judged the size if the thing and caught a lamppost on my way back to the depot(typical of me)

Fantastic service and very easy to use website. I was able to get a quote immediately saving time phoning companies and having to deal with pushy salesmen. Armed with our quote we could then plan our mini break with ease, and the prices are highly competitive. Would highly recommend.

Website is very user friendly and a breeze to use, the only negative I would say it that when the final price came through there seemed to be added extras and the price for 3 nights over a weekend was very expensive. However, if the hotel and car was the same price I would have booked the motor home without hesitation.

Extra charges all over the place
Returned the van on time and clean - they are charging me a £100 late return fee. They also made me wait 1 hour in the sweltering sun to pick it up as the staff at the depot are overworked. They try to charge you extras for everything - even tried charging me for a TV licence...! Not a great experience - they'll take you for every penny they can get.

Avoid like the plague
Edit: The response below is from Motorholme/unbeatablehire/whatever they are calling themselves today....as you can see it's basically an advert - it doesn't address a single issue because they can't. There's no defence because they don't have one -- if nothing else convinces you that this company is run by SCUM then let the response to this review speak volumes to you.
Honestly read the reviews, this company is a disgusting, amoral joke.
We booked a van specifically because my son has a heart condition and can't get damp and cold.
Motorholme were well aware of this and still put us in an old, filthy (and I mean DISGUSTING) van. When challenged they depot admitted they knew it was disgusting but were told by head office to still let it out to me.
We returned the van early and were promised a refund for unused time. Motorholme refused this after making me wait TWO MONTHS for a response.
Along with other commenters the amount of time they keep your deposit for us a joke.
All I can say is AVOID AVOID AVOID - there is a reason this scummy company has been in the local press and it isn't a good one.

Absolutely shocking! Everything went pretty smoothly and i dropped the van back off on time and that is where the fun started. After getting the all clear from the company that the van was brought back and in good order, about the week later they sent me a report where they were going to charge me £100 for a dirty toilet, £70 for a valet, £70 for going over 70mph ( which I didn’t know about as it was in small print on one of the 20 emails they sent me) plus some other costs that I don’t remember now as I hired a van in the middle of July and I’m only now receiving my deposit back after threatening to go to trading standards. There was no after sales service at all, whenever you try to speak to somebody you go To voicemail and then you get a text straight after saying that they don’t always check voicemails so I tried live chat and you’re always 20th and queue with 40 minutes to wait and every time I tried that I got cut off! The only people you can talk to are sales people who want nothing to do with after sales! Steer clear, avoid at all costs! They keep your 25 to voicemail and then you get a text straight after saying that they don’t always check voicemails so try the live chat, I tried the live chat and you’re always 20th in queue with 40 minutes to wait and every time I tried that I got cut off! Steer clear, avoid at all costs! They keep your £250 deposit supposedly for 28 days in case you incur a fine, which is fine, only trouble is its now into October and I hired the van in July

Please believe the 1 star reviews - absolutely horrendous. Instead of putting a hold on your £1250 deposit - yes £1250 they actually deduct it from your credit card and getting it back is impossible. Rented a van in August for 5 days. Brought it back - all signed off as fine. Had to wait 28 working days to claim my refund - it's not automatic -and then the fun starts. The system says your refund will be paid in 4 days on a continual loop and nothing happens. No living soul on the telephone number -refers you to live chat. Well you better put aside the day for that- I was 1st caller and held for 45mins - keep swiping your screen or it will time you out and back of the queue you go.
Finally contacted credit card and raised a dispute. They were not surprised.
ADVICE - Screenshot your conversations on live chat as they do not send you a copy of anything. It's easy to then give to the credit card company as evidence.
BUT THE BEST ADVICE IS DONT USE THEM OR ANY OF THEIR AFFILIATED COMPANIES

Having had a terrible experience with this firm, as so many people have; I have to question the validity of all the positive reviews that have appeared recently. They seem to swamp the first page and push the negative reviews on to page 2.

I Can’t even begin to explain the appalling service I have received from this company still now fighting to get my 1250 deposit back for a window I pointed out on collection only to be told not to worry..... took the van back 11 August heard today they want to take 700 for repairs and off road for a fault that we didn’t even create..... can’t speak to anyone - now getting legal advice - I truly can’t
