Too Expensive

Yesterday I bought a replacement lamp from MPD. It was a Lucas LLB716 also known as H16. The salesperson told me the cost would be surprising. I said about £20 he said no double that. It was actually £33.88 before adding VAT, which made it £40 give or take. Once home I looked for the bulb on line and found prices as little as £7 + post. So where did they get their price from. Yes it was convenient, it was on the shelf but £40!!!! I have bought wiper blades before from this same outlet and have paid too much as well. I won't be going back ever again.

Their accounts department are…

Their accounts department are completely inadequate and unfit to run accounts. Account is put on stop, yet the account is in credit, I ask why, the woman hangs up the phone. COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL and incapable of building B2B relationships, they operate in a vacuum, where they dont even contact their customers to alert them of any issues. They dont send statements to customers, no communication, they just put the account on stop even if its an internal fault of their own systems. I call their accounts department, the staff there are very rude. ITS SIMPLE, WE JUST TAKE THE BUSINESS ELSEWHERE.

Motor parts Wrexham

I’m extremely disappointed with the service we received from Motor Parts Direct. We were regular customers and had been purchasing car parts from them for quite some time, but this experience has completely changed our view.
We returned a part that didn’t fit our car and were told we would receive a refund. After waiting several weeks and hearing nothing, we contacted them to follow it up. To our surprise, they claimed the money had already been used as credit towards other purchases.
This simply isn’t true. We checked our CCTV footage and confirmed that every order we placed after that return was paid for in cash on delivery. We even offered for them to come and review the footage themselves as proof, but they showed no interest whatsoever in resolving the issue.
It’s incredibly frustrating to be dismissed like this, especially as loyal customers. We are still owed £90, and the lack of accountability or willingness to investigate properly is unacceptable.
Needless to say, we will not be using them again.

Cutting hours of drivers to avoid nmw increase

Im absolutely appalled of what moto parts direct have done has a company to avoid paying the increased national minimum wage they have cut the drivers hours to avoid paying the extra money but in doing so have actually cut they wage by nearly £900 a year this is ridiculous considering the drivers/counter staff are the driving force behind the companies success and further to say the drivers are the face of the company in a massive aspect as they are the one that see and speak to consumers everyday and keep the business afloat

Dodworth Barnsley....top service

I've used Motor Parts Direct on few occasions now, Barnsley branch Dodworth.
I can honestly say, the prices for parts are better than I've found anywhere.
Customer service is fantastic, always happy and help with advise where possible.
Keep up the good work, much appreciated 👏

Stay away. Rude

I visited the Norwich depot to get a price on a battery for my insignia and wiper blades. I was greeted by a girl swearing on the phone at a customer about a payment and a bloke on the phone moaning about customers and how bad his drivers are. After being ignored for a while a bloke appeared to my right who quoted on parts. £35 more than ecp!! What an unprofessional shambles!!

Thank god for Eurocar parts

I’ve had a really poor experience with Motor Parts Direct. Staff were unhelpful and seemed uninterested in resolving issues, with very little product knowledge or urgency. Communication was poor, and I was left chasing for answers rather than being supported as a customer.

Parts availability and accuracy were also an issue, which wasted time and caused unnecessary delays. For a company that supplies essential motor parts, reliability and customer service should be a priority — unfortunately, that wasn’t my experience at all.

I won’t be using Motor Parts Direct again and wouldn’t recommend them based on the level of service I received.

Out of the world service

Corby store closes at 17:30 and I arrived at 17:35 from work and really needed a new battery. The last salesman in then was more than happy to help me and stayed a little longer. Truly grateful for the help and excellent service! Well played 👏🏾

Chippenham* absolutely awful

Chippenham* absolutely awful. Especially the lady! Honestly The rudest people I have ever encountered with no customer service skills at all. Walked in to the shop and the 4 people working in there all at the desk just ignored us. I said hi to acknowledge that people were actually there just in case they didn’t see. But was just told and looked at in the rudest possible way “ I’m helping another customer” which wasn’t evident because she wasn’t on the phone and no one else was in the shop. We walked out!! 100% will
Never go back there and am making a complaint against the lady honestly disgusting person and service! Rosie.

Would highly recommend Mpd motor parts…

Would highly recommend Mpd motor parts in crewe. Stuart and Josh will always go out the way to help to find the right parts at best prices never had any problems. Give them a try you will not be disappointed 👍🚘🚘

Outstanding customer service from…

Outstanding customer service from Kirsty at the Farlington, Hampshire depot.
Kirsty invested time to own and calmly check a part against our broken part, locate the part (at Winchester) and arrange for pickup.
Kirsty was just the person at the right moment, to resolve our issue.

Bought a driveshaft from these

Bought a driveshaft from these, fitted it a few days later. The car ended up with a shudder at low speed. Took it off and fitted old one back onto the car, No shudder. Called the Durham shop and explained and asked for a refund. Now been refused my money back until they send it back to the manufacturer and its up to the manufacturer to say yes or no for my refund. Wrote to head office as we are talking £190 not a fivers worth of screen wash. Also contacting trade and standards.

I visited Motor spares direct in coalville.

I visited Motor spares direct in coalville this morning and I cannot praise their assistance enough, to say they went above and beyond is an understatement.
My car had failed its MOT on cloudy headlights and they came up with a makeshift idea to get it passed and it worked!! Thank you to the team and you will have my loyalty from now on.

Royston branch visit

I visited the Royston branch pretty flustered and stressed, and spoke with Josh who could not have been more helpful! My issue with a broken car key was dealt with immediately and fixed within the hour. Josh was really friendly and gave me advice on how to avoid the issue I had happening again. Thank you!
