Check your item is actually in stock

I ordered a dog bed in early January, with the money being taking from my credit card at the time. I waited nearly two months for the bed to be delivered. Muddypaws clearly did not have the item in stock. I contacted them on numerous occasions to be told that they were expecting stock in over next week or so but still nothing materialised. I was then promised extra goodies in my delivery once it arrived! If I hadn't have made contact, they would not have bothered to keep me informed. After 2 months I finally gave up and asked for a refund - and no goodies! I left repeated telephone messages and emails which were often not answered/returned and even the refund took two attempts and over nearly 2 weeks later I finally got the money back onto my card. I'm still out of pocket due to their 0845 number they use and the number of calls I've had to make to chase my non-existent order. I have lost complete faith in them as a company and wish I'd read some of the reviews posted on here before ordering.

DO NOY BUY FROM HERE

Not fulfilling order despite repeated promises of delivery and then not refunding. It has been nearly 3 months now since placing the order and this is sti ongoing, ridiculous!!!

I have recently bought 3 dog coats from…

I have recently bought 3 dog coats from your company. The first one came quickly, the other 2 took ages. I have had to email you to ask for delivery times, at least 3 times which was annoying. I have 2 dogs but have ended up with 3 coats which is also puzzling, I think the waiting has confused me.

After all of the above, I was waiting to give a low satisfaction score when your request for feedback appeared. I have found, however, that the quality of the last 2 coats has really impressed me and I am now satisfied.

Reasonable service and good value from a family firm.

I ordered two coats for my dog and I was impressed by the range of items available on their web-site at prices which compared favourably with other on-line stores.
There was a delay in them delivering the two coats I ordered. I emailed the company a couple of times about the delay in them being able to despatch the coats. They told me they had one in stock and were awaiting delivery of the other from their suppliers. I said it would be OK for them to deliver the one in stock and the second when they were available. In the event, both coats were delivered within three days. I was very pleased with both of the coats and they fitted my dog well.
They both represent good value for the coats compared to similar items elsewhere in my opinion.

I would never ever use this company…

I would never ever use this company again. I am still waiting for a refund of £174 since January. As in previous comments I too ordered items they did not have in stock, after showing on their website it was!!! I have phoned several times to be promised a returned call same day - nothing. I have e mailed several times and received no replies. I am at the end of my tether with them and am wondering now how to get my money back

Customer care poor

Waited 6 weeks for a jacket for my puppy. This Is very unacceptable considering it said 3-5 days. I was basically sold something that the company didn't have in stock. And received a 'bear with us email' I phoned a week later to be told there supplier hadn't yet delivered it to the company but it should be with me the following week. 2 weeks later and the product still hadn't arrived, another phone call. Was told it was being sorced from another supplier... finally received it 10 days later. On receiving the item I was very pleased with it. Although there is no hole for a harness?? Putting in to my local seamstress to stitch a hole in.

Happy dog

This is the 2nd time i have purchased goods from muddy paws,the items are of a excellent quality and reasonably priced compared to high street stores,would definatly recommend this company.

Never again !!!!

I ordered a dog coat 6.1.18, after several telephone calls I received it on 9.2.18, was too big, sent it back 11.2.18 and still waiting on a refund, today date 13.3.18. I think this is unacceptable.

Friendly/fast service for all your pet needs!

Brought a new tweed style coat for Bo the Beagle, item arrived the next working day! Great service and great communication, please don't believe all you read, try them for yourselves, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and got perfect service in return, I will most definitely be using them again. They may have had postal issues before, but all appears to be running smoothly now.

I would never again use Muddy Paws as I have been trying since October 17 to get them to send a dog coat to me. I paid and they happily took my money but for some reason will not send the coat. Initially they were out of stock then the Manager Rupert Brown said he would send the coat out and he has kept saying that since December. I am so fed up with them and just want everyone else to know how bad a company they are and to stay well clear of them. Chris

Incomplete order & terrible customer service

Items which showed as available online were out of stock, they've never processed the refund for those, and then sent a delivery out which was incomplete and haven't processed a refund for that either. I've been chasing them for more than 2 months and they won't follow up. Horrific customer experience and definitely the most inefficient, poor online shop I've found for my pet. Don't bother! Go elsewhere and spare yourself the disorganised hassle!!

Really pleased

I ordered a dog coat just over a week ago. Then the snow came so I decided to be patient. It arrived this morning. So 10 days instead of the promised 3-5 days isn’t at all bad considering the weather last weekend.
Great 2 way coat by the way. Very pleased.

Hmmm seems like a patern happening with…

Hmmm seems like a patern happening with muddy paws taking orders and not being able to fulfill them.
My wife ordered a dog coat in december 2017 and like many reviews here had to chase up were the order was. Usual story being said "waiting for stock", "Should be with you in 10 days".
It got to February 27th 2018 with no updates from muddy paws and all the chasing being done by my wife frustratingly the order was agreed to be cancelled and a refund given.

It's now 9th March2018 and you guessed it NO REFUND !!!
Due to all the similar reviews I''m guessing this company will be closing soon probably due to bankrupsy .

DON'T ORDER FROM THEM USE SOMEONE ELSE IF YOU ACTUALLY WANT YOUR ITEMS TO ARRIVE.

Ordered a dog coat on 10.01.18

Ordered a dog coat on 10.01.18. Was told 3-5 days, then that there would be a delay, then mid Feb told within a few days, then on 22 Feb told it would be within 10 days. Nothing has arrived. I have requested a refund, but no-one is answering the phone or responding to emails.
Wish I had read all the reviews. The company seems to have got worse recently.

Giving this company even 1 star is too…

Giving this company even 1 star is too much my advice is not to order anything from them.
I have been waiting over 2 months for a dogs bed ordered on the 2nd January 2018 payment was taken but no dogs bed arrived.
The only thing Rupert and Tania of Muddy Paws can be trusted to deliver is a false promise to when your item will arrive.

Update

Below is my original review and I am now in receipt of the dog bed however, that is 3 purchases in total, dog bed and 2 hurta jackets(partner purchased one and his brother purchased other) and time taken to despatch is not good.

I was contacted and the staff are very pleasant and I do hope they manage to imrpove their supply chain and be realistic about items being in stock and how long they will take, then as a consumer I can make an informed decision.


I am about to contact consumer services and wish I had read the previous reviews. I am shocked at the lack of customer service and the company now appears tp be using last week's bad weather as an excuse as to why an order placed 2 weeks in advance of the adverse weather has still not appeared.
