Need better kitchen items and and a real forno

We booked a villa for 2 weeks through My Rental Homes this June in Port de Pollensa in Majorca with Guido at My Rental Homes. My Rental Homes & Guido were fantastic throughout the whole process but unfortunately our holiday was pretty disastrous due to our experience at the villa & with Balearic Villas who managed the villa during our stay.

The villa was based in Gotmar & called Villa Cub 1. It was a great location & had impressive views & the villa itself had plenty of amazing features, but we were unable to appreciate it much due to a number of major issues.

Firstly, there was major building work going on directly in front of the villa and next door which both completely overlooked the pool area & villa with workmen able to see directly into most bathrooms and producing excessively loud & unbearable noise for most of the day from 8am till 6pm & on Saturdays. They were using pneumatic breakers, jackhammers & diggers scrapping up concrete plus many other noisy machineries throughout most of the day, so it was impossible to be able to relax in any of the outdoor areas in the villa. It was so load at times we couldn't hear each other talk & the concrete scrapping was like the sound of fingernails down a blackboard. We were informed prior to our stay of the building work by Balearic but it was massively downplayed & we were told there was restrictions on noise levels & what tools could be used.

Secondly when we arrived at the villa the entrance gate to the villa was in a terrible state, broken & unlockable & one of the main entrances to the villa was broken & a nightmare to lock. We learnt from our oversharing Rep that they were aware of these faults & other clients had complained previous, but they had just left them unfixed & the entrance door was never fixed during our whole 2 week stay & at times we were unable to secure the property at all.

The management company, Balearic Villas came across as professional & helpful to begin with but over our stay & interaction with them, making complaints about the noise etc we realised they were very much the opposite, full of excuses, untrustworthy, dishonest & false.

Guido handled the whole situation brilliantly, but Balearic Villas were very much the opposite. Guido compensated us, Balearic Villas did very little & like I said were just full of excuses and untrustworthy.

I very much recommend My Rental Villas but would avoid booking any villas that are managed by Balearic Villas.

Great spot for our family! The view of Isola Bella is indeed as beautiful as it looks. Just (steep!) steps down to the beach for a great day kayaking and swimming around the island and exploring. Easy to get up to town on the funicular; or a good -hot- walk up the stairs, making you deserving of another gelato! The space is a little tight - but we were 8 people and we managed. It was the perfect spot for our family and I'd highly recommend it!

Rental home in Sicily was amazing! The emails in advance of our trip were not as clear as they could be.

We stayed at Villa Carteni for 10 days in July 2022. The outdoor setting of the villa is beautiful and a lot of the pictures that are on the websites do not do it justice. The garden is very well kept, with a gardener visiting during our stay. The flowers and butterflies that inhabit the grounds are gorgeous and it makes for a beautiful setting while you’re are relaxing at the villa. The pool was well maintained and a descent size. The area where you sunbath and chillout is a nice area where you can choose to bask in the sun overlooking the sea or cool down in the shade. We really enjoyed the grounds.
The villa itself is excellent for large groups as it has three self-contained apartments which is ideal for getting together whilst also having your own space. The top and middle apartments are spacious and have air conditioning which is super. We also used the washing machine to freshen things up and the clothes dried in no time outside. The bottom apartment wasn’t quite as good as it doesn’t have aircon but fans are available. It is more of an old style area and did smell old too.
Things that the villa could do with are more mirrors and places for someone to sit and dry their hair and do makeup. It did not have a safety deposit box which we worried about at first but it is situated within people’s own homes, so it didn’t pose as a problem but we would have had peace of mind if it had had one. The villa does have locked gates and doors around the property.
The neighbours were very welcoming and made sure that we knew what was happening in the area ( road closures/ nights on in the town). The little town centre is a few minutes walk down a steep hill but has a lovely restaurant ‘a Cammarella’ , which do take aways and there was a good burger place and ice cream/ crepe shop, which was a great hit with the kids. There is also a wee supermarket to get your shopping from.
On the downside, the roads up to the villa are very, very narrow and it can be tricky to drive to, especially at night. If hiring a car, be careful what size of car you are taking.

The company ‘My Rental Homes Italy’ were super throughout our stay, especially Chiara who looked after us. Nothing was a bother for her, from finding us somewhere to grab food when we arrived in late from our flight to organising maintenance at the villa or booking a yacht to take us a tour of Capri.

We stayed at Villa Luanda and found the property to be nearly perfect! The service of Fulvio including as our vip host was top notch and exceeded our expectations. Although there was construction ongoing we were not overly bothered by it. Loved our stay and we will definitely look at this portfolio again when booking the next trip to Ibiza or anywhere served by My Rental Homes.

Newly renovated, well appointed home with spectacular views. Impeccable clean. Quiet area. Very close to Massa Lubrenese and Sorrento but NOT walking. I'd recommend renting a car. Loved this house.

Great house with impeccable sea-views, large pool, comfy sunbeds, modern bathrooms and high-quality beds. Daily cleaning!
Good location on the island (close to Mykonos town and many beach clubs).
Fantastic service through local agent Andreas, who was at hand nearly 24/7, arranging everything we needed (transportation, grocery deliveries, reservations, ...). We´ll be back for sure :-)

Perfect location. Home was beautiful and very comfortable and our host was the best. So attentive and thoughtful. Best host we’ve had in 15 years if Airbnb

Villa Ettore is a magnificent and architecturally interesting property with fine furnishings and art works. It is comfortable and has all the facilities and equipment you would expect in a high end villa.
The pool was clean and of adequate size. Sufficient loungers, chairs and sunshades.

The owner is charming and very helpful. He speaks excellent English.

What would have been magnificent views were obstructed largely by the vegetation.

We were very happy to have stayed at the Villa Ettore.

Due to the pandemic, we had to ask Guido to extend our reservation for two years and he kindly made the necessary arrangements so we could put off the trip until this year. The villa did not disappoint! Well stocked and furnished, Maria was very helpful and answered all of our questions. This villa became our home for 3 weeks. It was a magical experience!

House and pool was beautiful and far exceeded our expectations as photos don’t really do it justice. Area lovely and quiet but the bustle of Puerto pollensa not too far away.

We had a wonderful family stay in Villa Selwylda. The Villa was very spacious and comfortable with amazing outdoor space and views. A couple of the bedrooms could do with a small refresh but on the whole a beautiful place.
