Avoid these lot at all cost not worth your time. They charge VAT on postage paid by yourself and claims that they have to cos their courier does so. What a pile of BS it was. Refund received was less than half of what was paid. I can't wait to see this business go bust.

Absolutely horrendous company.
I don't have the time to waste giving a play by play but essentially:
Poor quality product
Have no idea about the law on distance selling
Terrible customer service and rude
Fortunately I can't imagine them surviving long with the terrible reviews they attract.
Avoid, avoid, avoid!!

Company sent " an alternative " to ordered item. My mum was told she would have to pay return postage ( if she didn't want to keep it) as it was the only option they had. But it didn't match the dimensions of the one already on the door.
After a brief telephone conversation with the CEO, Glenn Parrott, who initially was extremely impertinent And not how you would expect the managing director of a company to portray himself, when dealing with a customer complaint. Mr Parrott told me "everyone in the office at the side of him, were listening and laughing at my comments ( which I felt was quite rude and most unprofessional under the circumstances) and fed up of our calls,
(I had only rang ONCE!!!)
He then proceeded to offer to pay for postage up to £4 (bearing in mind they charge £6 for delivery) and even come and fit it himself, personally.
So we will see if they are true to their word.
I will post another review on the progress if the matter is resolved, but most importantly if my mum is happy with the outcome. She is an elderly lady who just wanted a new door handle, that fits.
Nothing more.
This company is a disgrace; their actions demonstrate a clear attempt to avoid any responsibility. I initially ordered a handle from this company and everything seemed fine. However, upon ordering the same item again, everything changed. What I received from the Warrington branch was a short version, which was not what I wanted. When I raised a complaint, they exchanged it for a medium version, which was the same size but had a different screw position from the standard version. When I requested an exchange, the Warrington staff informed me that because I ordered online, they couldn't process an exchange. They advised me to first refund online and then place a new order. After I initiated the refund, I was shocked to discover a 20% fee deducted without prior notification. They claimed it was my mistake, denying me a full refund, and abruptly ended the conversation. I will never recommend this company.
Ordered some cylinders, which i ordered the wrong size. Was told to return for a full refund. They then said they would not refund as it was a 'special order.' The locks are not personalized, or keyed alike. Citizens advice have advised this is against DSR and consumer rights. Avoid at all costs! Reported to trading standards who will be investigating.

You are breaking consumer rights and distance selling regulations - I suggest you contact trading standards to confirm this yourself and stop breaking the law. I will be pursuing this further.
It’s also very interesting you reply on Trustpilot but not on email!

We ordered the handles on Thursday and they arrived Friday morning. They fitted well with no problem. Great service from this company.

Ordered a GU electronic lock which clearly shows the electronics on the website but when it arrived the elctronics module was missing, I was then told it was an extra £180
since discovered they no longer do the lock with electronics and you do have to buy a generic electronic opener seperatly so why not show this on the website and remove the picture of it included?
I quoted the job on the website price so I now have to supply the electronics module at my own cost
Needed a multi lock and spare gearbox for my door, its an oddball type and only Northwest Hardware seemed to stock it, to be sure I gave them a call and yeah, Warrington had one in stock and the spare gearbox ( spare because things break always on a weekend in my house ).
Chap at Warrington branch checked the measurements to be sure it was the correct parts and even offered to swap the gearbox over because this type of job is new to me. Hour later I was back home fitting it, works a treat. Very grateful for the advice offered and the way my order was dealt with, these guys know about locks !

Rubbish customer service, avoid at all costs!!! Received a damaged item, when I tried to make arrangements for a replacement or refund I just got ignored. Ridiculous pricing for shipping also.

Had to take a door lock back as not working, I just want to say what a fantastic man Adam is, he was at the back listening to our dilemma and straight away came out with the tools to test the lock out and fixed it straight away, what fantastic customer service couldn’t thank him enough, the world would be a better place with more Adams in it, thank you so much Adam

Been buying off this company for a long time no problems.
Purchased a saracen 3 piece lock
Fitted it worked fine until door closed , it locked up with a bit of friction.
Got it open reset everything it did it again and had to chop the lot.
Not happy been doing locks and window mechanisms for years now.
Northwest Hardware, Stockport Branch, What a brilliant company. Comprehensive and easy to use web site, good products, fair price, helpful customer service and very quick delivery.
I have used them before and will use them again.

Good range of products but customer services is a lot to be desired. Absolute robbers when it comes to shipping. £60 to ship to Ireland. Your having a laugh. As much to say "get f**cked". Even before brexit it was £20 or £30 no matter what you spent. Aldridge and duffells offer free shipping (even to Ireland) over a certain amount
Spot on, a friend recommended these lads so nipped in with a back door deadlock issue - sorted me out in ten minutes, swapped the hardware over for me, checked the lock etc
Saved me good money, lock works like a dream
Cheers lad 😎👍👍

After an understandable and unavoidable delay due to Brexit, my initial order was received in a damaged state, even though very well packaged, as it had been in transit for over 2 months, which was noted by the courier.
To my delight, and without any further intervention I received a replacement order 2 weeks later in a very timely manner, and all in perfect condition.
Customer support , without prompt, followed through in their company's commitment to provide a quality product and service.
I would highly recommend this company.

A couple of years ago I read a lot of stories of people breaking into houses via conservatory doors by "snapping" the locks.
After some enquiries I asked Northwest Hardware who fitted Ultion locks to my UPVC doors. Last weekend someone tried to break in to my house using a blow torch to melt the lock surround on the conservatory. Despite burning a hole in the door they were unable to break the lock and gave up.
These locks prevented the thieves from getting in and I will definitely have them fitted again.
