Tldr; Site is great, but bans randomly. The site is pretty good and simple for what it is. Just an online alarm, and it's free. Had used it for around 3 years to wake up for work. If I had r... See more

This was a great site but it randomly stopped working for me saying my IP address was banned? I haven't moved or anything like that :(

Reply from OnlineClock
Edit 3: Just editing my review two years later to confirm I am not a robot. Still furious that my once-favorite online clock treated me like this. Whatever, it’s just a clock that copies NASA.
Edit 2:
Once again, OnlineClock has chosen to double down on baseless accusations instead of addressing the concerns of a long-term user in good faith.
TL;DR Oversimplification and Insults
Starting your reply by calling a customer "a baby" reveals the kind of attitude prospective users can expect if they encounter issues. This unprofessionalism makes it clear that you have no interest in listening to or resolving legitimate feedback.
Repeat Baseless Accusations
Despite my explaining that I used your site as a normal user, you continue to imply I’m part of some "malicious attack" because of vague "too many requests" errors. This is not constructive, nor does it reflect reality.
Irresponsible Conjecture
Conjecturing about the type of IP I might be using, or even attempting to connect my review history to suspicious activity, only serves to prove how speculative and defensive your stance is. If you have actual evidence supporting your accusations, you’ve failed to provide it.
Generalizing Your Errors as User Failures
If half of all Internet traffic is from bots, that is no excuse to alienate legitimate users. Systems should prevent bots without banning long-term, genuine users. That this occurred repeatedly after a "second chance" shows your processes are flawed.
To prospective users: Be aware that if OnlineClock’s systems mistakenly flag you as suspicious, you won’t just face bans—you’ll face accusations, insults, and public belittling. Their inability to address legitimate concerns or implement reliable protections has rendered this site an unreliable tool. There are better, more professionally run alternatives out there.
Edit 1: In response to the webmaster replying to this review - read carefully!
At this point, if you're really this protective about "malicious activity", why not just ban every IP that visits your site?
Your response is as disappointing as the service you now provide.
Let me clarify a few points for you:
Cloudflare Ban & "Too Many Requests"
I used your site in the same way I have for years—legitimately. If your system interprets that as suspicious, the problem lies with your configuration, not with me. Suggesting that normal use triggers DoS protections is an admission that your service is inherently unreliable.
Accusations of Suspicious Behavior
Instead of addressing my concern or providing a means of resolving the ban, you decided to speculate about my IP address being "dynamic" or associated with a VPS. Neither point is relevant. What is relevant is that I was a loyal user for years, yet your system banned me, and your support team ignored my request for assistance after initially engaging with me.
Deflection and Unprofessionalism
Your focus on bots and Internet traffic statistics does not excuse your inability to handle user concerns. Moreover, your closing remark, "Good Riddance," epitomizes an unprofessional attitude unbecoming of a service that claims to cater to human users.
Failure to Address Core Issues
My core issue remains unresolved: Your site is unreliable, and your customer service is dismissive. By refusing to acknowledge these concerns constructively, you’ve made it clear that users who encounter issues are unwelcome and will be publicly derided rather than helped.
If your approach to dealing with constructive feedback is personal attacks and accusations, perhaps it’s time to reevaluate your commitment to providing a functional, user-friendly service.
To other potential users: If you’re considering OnlineClock, be aware that even long-term, legitimate usage may lead to arbitrary bans, and customer support is unlikely to offer meaningful resolution. PROCEED WITH CAUTION.
Initial Review:
This site was great. Was.
I have been using this clock for many years, and I was banned by using the site. I was noticing some of the clock numbers were not loading, and when I reloaded the page, I was presented by a Cloudflare IP ban.
What if I had set an alarm and the sound wouldn't load because all requests to the server were blocked due to a "bad" IP address? I could have missed my workday and gotten fired. Thankfully, I noticed that it wasn't working properly at the start. Unreliable.
Upon emailing the webmaster, I was notified that I was sending "too many requests". Upon following up and asking for the issue to be resolved once more, the webmaster refused to respond to my email. You're going to risk being banned by just visiting the site. Don't bother using this piece of junk. Very discriminative.

OnlineClock is awesome! They have an easy to use clock, alarm, countdown timer and others to choose from, plus cool backgrounds you can choose from also. Plus when the alarm goes off, you get a joke to brighten your day.
I used to use this website at least 4 times per week and I liked it... until they blocked me. This was maybe more than a year ago but I thought people should know about my experience and how similar it is to what others say here.

I am blocked from accessing this website?? Why?? I have never seen any website blocked me before and I used to set alarms here, suddenly it's block. Wow terrible

Well, it's a shame to see negative reviews for this website. Onlineclock.net has been my dependable go-to alarm clock for many years. A few months back, they blocked my IP address which was slightly annoying, but no problem because the internet is not limited to only one idea per website, so I used a competitor. I reached out to someone in charge of the website, they got back to me promptly and my connection was restored. The customer service was great, and frankly being able to use the website again made my day. Overall, amazing website and nothing gets me out of bed quite like the end of the world sound on onlineclock.net. Cheers!
Was just emailed for "details" by TP. Why?
They have my isp info, and email addy. That should be plenty. I suspect he is working to have post taken down...
I used his clock as home page for years, and one day... poof! A little "BooHoo" emoji and "use a different service". It's been nice to post (thanks?), but now suspect that posts will be deleted.
as seemingly quite a few others have said id been using this website/alarm clock for a few years now and today on my work laptop its telling me my ASN is blocked. My home personal computer said "not available from this IP ages ago". Thats a UK commercial ADSL from plusnet. When I looked closer at my laptop wondering why it was working and my home pc wasnt, it appears that my organisation shows my IP as being in Holland. However today my work laptops ASN is banned. I see below someone representing the website commenting on positive reviews. How about you comment on any of the "ive been happily using for years and randomly now am banned" comments. You can start with mine if your inclined.
Been using for years, but all of a sudden they've blocked my IP saying they don't do service in the US anymore. What garbage
I've been using their site for years and suddenly it has blocked my IP. I don't know why they bother having a contact email if they're just going to ignore you. The site just says "We're sorry, but Online Clock is not available for everyone on the Internet" and to "use a competitor". What a joke. They have the best alarm clock online hands down, but I wouldn't bother using a site you can't trust because one day you're suddenly blocked and your alarm doesn't go off.
Banned for literally no reason at all. Nothing will circumvent this.
IP banned? What in the world for? I did nothing but set a timer once a week or so for when food was ready.
IP banned after at least a year of using it as my alarm clock every night. Given this experience, I will no longer trust nor use this app, and am replacing it with kukuklok.
My IP is banned for some reason despite the fact that I was using it for months beforehand.
pretty good sight with many options and sounds to choose from, the cherry on top is the memes when you wake up are top notch. a good way to start a day, or end the day. overall, recommended site to use as an alarm.
Ive been using online alarm for a few years now. When this alarm goes off I am on my way to wake up. I love humor and this without redo is awsome. I have laughed all morning long over the sometimes corny humor. Thank you for the online alarm. Ray
saved my life literally thank u so much people like u are awsome for creating stuff that help day to day activities
this wakes me up so quickly I am in a panic attack to turn it off lol. And I like the memes.
