I ordered the goods online using a credit card which required that the address to which the CC was registered was entered on the online form. The online form also allowed for specific delivery requests to be made, and this section was completed with the correct delivery address which in this case was different to the CC registered address.........guess where the goods were sent?? .....To the CC registered address....... Please be aware of this when ordering by CC.

website easy to use, had a problem paying at first but was ok the next day, delivery was slow, I called up to chase, they were friendly, said they would let me know, but didn't and it arrived a few days later

Ordered an SDS plus hammer drill. Not top of the range, but still a reputable manufacturer. After second use a lot of oil/grease came out from the chuck, totally covering the chisel bit. I stopped using it and approached Online Power Tools for a replacement as it was only 2 months old. It took 3 emails and one phone call before Online Power Tools responded, and even then they appeared very reluctant to take it back. Now its been a week and 2 further chaser emails since last contact with them and I have still no response. Shame that the company doesn't like to handle replacements/refunds when the item is probably still under manufacturers warranty and it wouldn't cost them much to handle the matter. First and last time I will use this company.

A good online store well priced for the construction industry

Item was marked as in stock on their website, and was meant to be delivered after 5 days.
After 8 days I received a refund due to "stock issues" with no other communication in between. Seems like it wasn't in stock after all.

I placed my order on 2nd june and it took you 8 days to tell me you had stock problems.This I feel is unacceptable. Won't be using you again.

Ordered a Fein MultiTool from Online Power Tools.
The price was great and with free delivery I duly ordered.
Despatch was prompt and delivery would have been next day if DPD (Courier) had got their act together, no fault of Online Power Tools.
Expect to be ordering from them again in the next couple of weeks.
Highly recommended.

I bought a Metabo TS254 which was returned twice due to a fault, Metabo were excellent and they issued a credit to Onlinepowertools so they could issue a refund. It had been almost three weeks to that point and I was over £520 out of pocket and I had no table saw.

I called Onlinepowertools and spoke to Alexander and informed him that I was a due a refund, he assured me that he'd check and call me back. He didn't.
I called the following day and Alexander apologised as he was extremely busy which I accepted, I asked him to consider a partial refund and that I wished to purchase a router which was £320 elsewhere online but he needed to check to see if they could price match, he assured me he'd call me back. He didn't.
I called the following day and spoke to a lady who told me Alexander would phone later n the morning. He didn't.
I called back in the afternoon and I was a little frustrated, I spoke to Richard and calmly told him that I wasn't happy and he was just plain surly and offhand and told me to forget the router, not an apology, not an acknowledgement or thank you for my patience nadda!
Later that day Alexander actually called me back and told me the refund would be in my account on the 29th. It wasn't. It still isn't.

When you read through the positive feedback its mainly directed at what an online retailer "should" do, sent goods on time, well packaged at a good price etc, the mark of a truly great online retailer is how they deal with issues, and lets face it problems can happen from time to time. Most online retailers such as Axminster Power Tools are excellent when dealing with problems and refunds, not this shower.

All I can advise is that you take the positive feedback with a pinch of salt, if you have a problem and fork out a substantial sum don't be surprised when you don't receive a refund for a considerable amount of time (or at all in this case), don't be surprised when your calls are left un-returned and don't be surprised when Richard is grumpy. To be fair Alexander seemed to be a pleasant chap, just not reliable when returning calls.

I will update this review once I've received a refund or reply to my email sent tonight (1st Sept) and what action was required to get it. Hopefully I don't need to take any further action!!

The whole shopping experience was a pleasure. I ordered the incorrect item and phoned straight away to try and change and it was so easy. A gentleman answered the phone amended my order without any issue.

Please with overall service and cost but had to wait a bit longer than expected for delivery (7 days despite website stating is was in stock!)
