Hi Christine, Thank you for the review, our systems show that you placed the order on the 3rd, it was dispatched the same day on free standard delivery (usually 48hrs exc weekends), a confirmation email was definitely sent, please could you check your junk mail, they sometimes get captured in there. Great outdoor shop, good range, excellent value. The staff are friendly and my toddler and terrier were made welcome. Parking is good if tricky to get out of. Really good real sales well worth looking out for

This is an amazing awrning
This is an amazing awrning, well designed and very easy to put up. We have a high top vw t4 and were put off at first as this is designed for high campers and our awning rail was in the normal position.
I am glad I called outdoor mania and they said that people with high tops like us throw the guy ropes over the top of the camper. We did just that and had an amazingly tight fit.
I can highly recommend this awning!

Good service and support on pre-ordered awning
I pre-ordered an awning that was only likely to become available very shortly before our trip so on the advice of Outdoor Mania. They were helpful with regard to the product and advise on getting delivery in time. I contacted them nearer the deliver due date to check as suggested. Over a period of a couple of weeks we were in contact ...always the same lady who remembered me and who chased to order to get it as a priority and organised direct delivery (really important as their supplier only had limited availability of early stock) They could not have have been more helpful and committed to follow up for me and I would not have got the item in time without them

After ordering I was advised a lead time of a few weeks, which was not acceptable to me so I asked for the order to be cancelled. Shame it allowed me to order in the first place without some kind of notification that this was an 'on-order' item. Bit of a waste of time for all concerned really!
***Update 01/05/2018*** - since Outdoormania have apportioned blame to the consumer (me), I would like to also add that I was contacted by the Customer Service Team to check that I was aware this item was on a pre-order, something I'm sure they would not have felt the need to do if this had been obvious at the time of ordering. Nor was any mention of the delay made in order confirmation.
I am not in the habit of wasting everyone's time, especially not my own, by ordering things that aren't available but I do take exception when I am blamed for such a mistake.
I will probably give Outdoormania a miss when I am looking for further camping equipment.
***Further update 2/5/2018*** - the order confirmation did NOT include information about the 'pre-order' status of this item. I am happy to email this if it is required. I appreciate mistakes happen, but can assure you that the error was not mine.

The product you ordered is very clearly marked in red "available for preorder and delivery in early June" this is displayed in 2 very prominent places. On placing your order we immediately sent a notification informing you of acceptance of your order and again confirming the 'Pre Order' status. Customer reviews are very important to us and all on line businesses, we take all reviews very seriously and where we can we will make improvements, in this case I am at a loss to what more we could have done. giving customers the opportunity to pre-order popular items is a service that is enjoyed by many customers and one that we will continue to provide. Hi Alan, it does state on our site 'The Sunncamp Swift 260 Deluxe is dispatched directly from the manufacturer and is available for preorder and delivery late May' we were trying to get you one earlier than stated, we cannot deliver an item that is not available from the manufacturer.
