Outdoorworld = scam

Who are Outdoor World? There website is not active, dispite having a login a few years ago, they still show up on Internet searches.

They had a data breach which peoples information was leaked and you can't change or delete your own account!

I had to take some walking boots back…

I had to take some walking boots back because one leaked. Sue on the till and the manager (don’t recall his name, where fantastic and really helpful. I would highly recommend Outdoor world Warrington, outstanding after sales service.

Fantastic customer service

Always a worry when purchasing online, expecially when you're relying on help to resolve a problem.
We purchased a tent in January, first used in August- where we discovered a hole and a faulty pole- this was obviously a huge worry and so i emailed outdoor world straight away- Joe replied immediately with a plan and arranged to have the tent collected the following week, this would have spoilt our holiday if I'd have been left without a response. They kept me informed throughout the whole process and were always professional but personable! Joe, Chelsea and Andrew, i can't thank them enough for helping me throughoutthe process! My tent was repaired and returned very promptly! Highly recommend this company!

You only find out how good an online…

You only find out how good an online company is when something goes wrong. I received a Vango chair with a fault, contacted Outdoor World and immediately got a positive outcome. They sent a replacement and collected the faulty chair straight away.

Outstanding

What a wonderful company to deal with .I had a problem with the couriers delivery ,phoned outdoor worlds customer service, they dealt with the problem so efficiently . THIS WILL BE MY GO TO COMPANY FOR ANY OTHER CAMPING NEEDS

Excellent service

I ordered a vango drive away awning on a mon eve as i needed one for my holiday the following week ....The staff were excellent in getting this out to me for the thursday of the same week especially as they were awaiting stock ....I think their customer service is awesome ......i cant praise them enough

Purchased a Vango family shelter from Outdoor World. On first use the king pole bent in the wind. Contacted Vango who said wind damage is not covered by warranty. Only purchase this if you will be using indoors with the windows closed. Thankfully, the retailer - Outdoor World - supplied a new pole even though it was not their responsibility!

Appalling service

Appalling!
Ordered an item online only to find it had been cancelled, without contacting me, several days later! Wrote to ask them about this and they failed to even respond.

Horrible place to shop if you are a…

Horrible place to shop if you are a POC....racist clerk wouldn't give my son the guns he paid for in full and passed the back ground check for because "he smells like weed" racial profile much??....He doesn't even smoke weed and my husband drove him the hour it took to get there. We paid in full and have been back 3 times and left emptyhanded because of excuses. Then they wouldn't give him his guns because he had a scratch on his ID...same ID he used to buy the guns though! I will be going back with him 1st thing in the morning to retrieve the merchandise he paid for but I promise you on everything I love I wont spend another dollar here nor will anyone else I ever come in contact with if I have anything to do with it!!

Impolite unfriendly staff

Having checked stock on line for availability ( walking pants ) I visited Bootle store at around 12.00 pm 10th Aug.When I enquired about availability of pants - the impolite ' smarty pants' female staff member said they had non left. No apology nothing ...There you go.... I then went to cycle section and wanted info on buying a small cycle pump. I asked the young man who was working on a cycle behind a counter about different types of connections. He 'huffed' and 'puffed' around questions I asked of him. I tried to work out how to use the pump - but couldn't do so. I returned to the cycle repair centre and again was met by a face that said oh you again. I only wanted to a bit of advice - but no chance of this from an ignorant young man who was more interested in fixing the bike than helping me. So I put pump back on stand- did not purchase. Whatever happed to customer service. ? These staff are clearly in need of training around being polite and looking after people. Wont be visiting again and you can remove me from your e mail alerts.

Charged extra for drainage problem they never told us about!!!

I'll leave my initial review below as I was super happy with what we got UNTIL they messed it up, tried to charge extra, refused to fix stuff we had never been notified of and caused a leak (poured a whole bunch of water into our ceiling cavity) in our roof that my husband had to mop up on grand finals day.. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THESE GUYS 16k for a patio and they forgot to tell us they were putting drains in... where do the drains go prey tell??? Onto my driveway (and it's already causing it to sink!!) Then we had 3 major leaks.. (water dripping down our outdoor walls) guy came out to fix it and put a whole bunch of water in our ceiling cavity (luckily an electrical guy we had come out noticed it!) Now they are refusing to fix the drainage and want to charge another $350 to put stuff in... NOT HAPPY JAN!!

From the initial sales/quote consult with Paul to the friendly, polite, hardworking tradesmen (I know, who would have thought!) to the BEAUTIFUL final product we now have, I can genuinely recommend Outdoor world to anyone wanting to build a quality patio/alfresco area �

Wouldnt buy from them evert again

Only delivered half the order. Numerous attempts to contact them. Won't respond to emails and won't pick up the phone. Call them before you order to confirm what I am saying. They either are or are no better than crooks.

NEVER AGAIN !!!!!!!!!

Have used these before , very satisfied BUT NOT ANY MORE ,have paid for a step/stool, 19th September, been twice to Taurus Park to collect as that was my option at checkout. Firms shutter are down, spoke with someone at the neighbouring unit and was told that Outdoor World had "CEASED TRADING" !!!
I have emailed them and inboxed (private messaged) them on the Facebook page all to no avail, no response, SO I AM A STEP/STOOL OUTSTANDING OR A REFUND IS OWED. It would seem also that the website is still operating and taking orders and peoples money !!

POOR BEYOND BELIEF

The customer service is non-existent, I ordered a Royal 16pc Melamine Set Grain, which arrived with a bowl missing, I’ve sent two emails, and the only replies I've had are automated ones, I’ve tried calling numerous times on both the numbers provided 0844 335 2994 & 01925 419202, and only once did someone answer, I was told the missing item would be dispatched…..and guess what I’m still waiting, so would I use them again NEVER

I even tried calling before I posted this to give them another chance....and guess what NO ANSWER.....enough said

Outdoor World-Licenced to: Not answer telephones,E mails or any correspondence at all!!!

I ordered a Glen 6 tent 2 x sleeping bags 2 x camp beds 2 x pillows on the 21 August 2013. I have received all the order except guess what the tent. The money has been taken out of my account I have managed to speak to customer service once and they informed me they were having delivery problems with the tent manufacturer's. I have spoken with the manafacturer and they have the tent in stock therefore there seems tp be a lack of communication between both companies. Why did outdoor world sell a product they did not have in stock and still advertise it on there online site and also take the payment out of my account. Why do they not answer emails and answer the telephone on 01925 419202 and 0844 3352994 which I am phoning on a daily basis.

Great price, product exactly as expected and a brilliant delivery

The price was great, the product was exactly as expected, but the free delivery was exceptional. I got an email the day the item was delivered saying that my parcel would be delivered between 10:17 and 11:16am. With so many deliveries being sent out with online ordering, it really is useful to know when its actually going to arrive.
