Stay away
Stay away! If you move home expect at least a £20 increase in your premium depending on where you live, we moved from an RG postcode to a GU postcode even though we didn’t switch Vet
Practises. In the 13 years we have had our collie we made 1 claim for heart tablets and a consultation when the renewal notice arrived they bumped up the premium by an extra £47 wot! How do you merit that kind of increase. Basically they are not interested in insuring old dogs. We can’t afford £100 a month insurance so having to put some money away for our collie just in case. Rip off company. You’ve been warned.

here are many rating factors taken into consideration when it comes to renewal. The individual claim conditions and amount are taken into consideration however the main factors underwriters use in setting premiums are; the pets age, breed and gender. Your address is also a factor. Some postal codes are rated higher than others for two main reasons:
· There may be a higher concentration of claims in some areas.
· Costs of vet fees can also vary across the country.
· The cost of vet fees is taken into consideration as well as the number of claims in that area. Most premiums have also increased over the last few years because technology in veterinary treatment has advanced, so conditions are costing more to treat.

Not a great service if I'm honest
Not a great service if I'm honest. Didn't want to give them a poor rating as when I spoke with them they were very friendly, but I was concerned that I couldn't access the online policy documents and then started to read reviews and people also said the same. I tried calling them and i sat on the phone for so long, when i did eventually get through they were helpful but I have since decided to cancel my policy as I asked for them to send it to me via email and nobody bothered, which also put me off, because it take two seconds to type an email saying please see attached your policy. If they cannot do that image trying to get a claim dealt with! Sorry paws and claws, you may well be great, but my experience wasn't.

Stay away! Phone calls takes forever ever to answer. Online Manage Your Policy is a waste of time as you cannot cancel or amend it. Then get told this morning, I cannot cancel it without an admin fee which is nearly as much as the policy because the policy started today.

With regards to the £30 cancellation charge this is outlined at point of sale and is also outlined in your terms and conditions. If you spoke to one of our agent's while taking out the policy this is something they confirm when they discuss your cancellation rights and if you take out the policy online this is written under the policy terms and conditions.
