Hi there,
The product was shipped in an environmentally friendly, compostable and reusable mailer bag which may seem less premium but we have made a commitment to no longer buy cheap plastics for the benefit of the environment. Compostable mailer bags are inherently more expensive than plastic and the use of a box for your order would have meant unnecessary cardboard waste.
We also use tracked services with zero carbon commitments as we are committed to being carbon neutral.
The flat rate £3.99 shipping fee paid is less than the cost to handle, package and ship the 2kg product but we also offer a more economical way to buy with free shipping on orders over £40 which many of our customers enjoy.
We are very sorry that you feel the shipping service could have been cheaper but would like to thank you for your custom.

Ultimate in customer service.
Fantastic customer service from Paws In Padstow. I bought a Barbour lead which became faulty (the stop came off) after a few weeks. Paws In Padstow liaised with the manufacturer on my behalf and sent a replacement immediately. They even supplied a free post Hermes envelope to return the faulty lead too. They were polite and courteous throughout and kept me updated with the progress of the replacement. I cannot speak highly enough of Paws In Padstow and would highly recommend them. 5 star service!!
