Simple order process, good price, although delivery charge was nearly as much as the actual pine beading I bought, but STILL cheaper overall than going to a “D.I.Y” store ..
Delivered on time..
Will use again..

Great quality staircase but didn't fit. Fitter had to do extensive alterations which added to our costs.

I have twice purchased strips of wood to create a panelled look in my home. Both times I have received excellent quality of wood and the packaging and delivery was faultless. Will definitely recommend to all.

Not the easiest company to deal with.
Communication could be improved. Incomplete items received and deliveries do not turn up on the pre-agreed days.
It’s a shame as the end product looks lovely, but it involved 5 delivery slots when it could have been done in 2

I've been using Pear stairs for the last 5 years, never had a problem before. But now 2 times they disappoint me and I decided to leave a review, by the way I've left 5 * review in Google couple of years ago which I will try to remove. 1st problem on their main page on top is stated 7 working days for hardwood staircases to be produced, nowhere near that I've ordered ash staircase for 3300£ after the design was agreed and was given go ahead for production I've received the invoice which with small letters on the end it says 3-4 weeks. Anyway I had to let down my customers and delay the job with a month. Ok it's my fault I didn't read properly, but that's called false advertisement . When I called to ask a young guy started jumping over the phone and telling me they are within the timescale given on my invoice, what about the time that you advertise with big letters in top of your main page ? What made me leave the review is my last order, 700£ worth of materials. On the confirmation email it was stated 7 -10 working days for mixed orders. I received everything on the 15th and on top of it all the spacers that was delivered to go in the groove are smaller than the groove so I can't even finish the job now . In general my customers suffered and I might not get any more work from them . I'll be looking for different supplier .

I had four different staircases at one property replacing all the stairs in the house, none were alike but the with the designers were manufactured and fitted with no issues.
Great service as always.

Whilst the stairs are very good, my customer experience was a rather poor. The technical salesman, as you would expect was a good cheer leader for the company and really knew his subject. It gave me great confidence when listening to his advice and he was extremely pleasant and a great credit to the company (Julian).
However, I am rather old fashioned and customer experience, especially when spending a lot of money is very important to me as, like everyone, I work hard for my money.
I chose to have a professional measurement done by Pearstairs but the privilege of having the measurements being done professionally costs £180.00, which I understood, as I guess people get quotes and then don't pursue the order, but if you go ahead with the order I think it should be deducted from the order or certainly 50% of it to private customers.
I was being asked for feedback before the drawings had even been issued which I found terribly annoying. How can I give a review when I haven't even had the stairs?
I agreed to the purchase of the stairs and they are super and I am 'very' pleased but the rest of the staff need to put a little sparkle into their conversations with customers. It's been said many times, and I will say it again, customers are number one and they are making the company what it is and contributing to its reputation and success, your customers deserve to be treated with much more care and attention, we are, after all indirectly paying the wages of the staff that work there.
The stair case was delivered and I received a call from Pearstairs to be advised that it is a road side delivery and I would need to be in to help take delivery of the stairs. I was there, and helped to unload the stair case, but this really was a job for two strong men, I am female and I ended up with serveral bruises and a small cut. I think that the driver certainly needs a helper in the van, it is a 'big ask' for one person to offload a whole staircase and I felt sorry for him, I dont think he should be delivering alone and surely this is a potential health/safety risk that needs to be addressed.
Pearstairs do have a fairly captive market and they are excellent but one should never be complacent, but instead constantly endeavour to improve and surpass customer expectation.(it would also help if my name had have been spelt correctly, attention to detail is so important). I like to choose and support local companies wherever possible and I dont regret using Pearstairs but please shine your act up and think about your customers more and their experience in something which is for the customer an exciting purchase.
Thank you - the stairs are excellent.
