Great sales service

I chose PA Llanishen to sell a property based on a great first meeting and their listing of potential buyers. They didn’t disappoint. The house sold very quickly, secured a very good price and throughout the sale kept me updated and were easy to work with. Lauren and the team were superb. Also used their very cost effective relationship with Howells Solicitors. All highly recommended.

Early days but impressed so far!

From the initial meeting with Jack Chatburn, I have found the company in Neath easy to deal with. They have kept me informed every step of the way and have been proactive in communicating with me as the vendor.
The individuals I have dealt with have been efficient and quick in their responses to any queries. I would like to thank the ladies that hosted viewings and particularly thank Erin Thomas who dealt with me and the prospective purchaser through a series of phone calls and emails - not an easy task as I was abroad! Jessica Williams was proactive also in sealing the deal. Early stages in the sale yet, but I feel I can trust the team. Many thanks to all involved.

The perfect Scam

Once again Peter Alan is still the market leaders in conning the public when buying property. There new Modern Auction is a prime example. The fees they charge, a 4% none refundable deposit. Legal pack not worth the stamp (£350.00). I would only trust my solicitor. And that being an independent one.
Hats off to Peter Alan coming up with a brilliant scam.
This is one agent I would never purchase a property from.

3 appointments for one straight forward mortgage .

3 appointments for one straight forward mortgage .
My daughters earns 40k a year
better benefits than NHS workers
No debt , CCJ’s , clean as a whistle
1st appointment to discuss affordability etc - 1 1/2 hours
2nd appointment 1 1/2 hours ( I feel this should be optional ) looking at the budget/outgoings such as council tax , petrol , food , etc
Next , trying to sell us critical illness , life insurance , buildings insurance
3rd and final appointment 1/2 hour, sign the mortgage deal and mentioning all the policies above on numerous occasions.

This 2nd appointment procedure may be amazing for some customers , but I feel it should be an independent choice

Lied to + conned multiple times

Been lied to by multiple employees and the landlord as well.
I have another review on a persistent rodent Infestation that the company refused to sort out for 2 weeks, despite being told by someone that a contractor would be out within 24 hours
BUT ALSO I have had someone claiming to be the landlord knock my door wanting to show someone around the flat. I wasn't given notice of this and when I informed the office, they were not at all concerned that they didn't know this man, that he wasn't the landlord, and that he has been hanging around the property for weeks.
Also, my coin electricity meter was changed while I was out of town and the landlord lied to the office and said I was present for the install, that I had been shown how to use it. Complete LIES as I was out of town for 2 weeks and came back to my fridge freezer defrosted with rotten food. I was told over a month ago that I would be reimbursed for the money in the generator that was just wiped away, but not heard a thing.
ALSO a selling point of the viewings before I moved in was that the communal washer and dryer for the flats was kept running by the landlord who would top up the meter. Lies again. The tenants are the only ones who do it.
This company is a scam and a money grab, it feels like

Very unhelpful. Gorsenion

Very unhelpful, Amy B, who i spoke with on more than one occasion was rude and unprofessional. Terrible phone manners to the point she made me very
uncomfortable. They selling my late father home. Ive never been spoken to so abruptly as she spoke to me.
In a job dealing with customers you think she learn even basic phone manners.

Unprofessional and liars

Unprofessional don't communicate with each other. Past to different people all the time. The amount of stress they put me through being a landlord with an unpaying tenant. Lied about receiving keys which ended up costing me a fortune to get into the property. Missed a court date. There's lists of problems think they need retraining in head office..stay away!!

Have several properties with them

Have several properties with them , don’t do any routine inspections for over a year on all of the properties . Not sure what the point is in having a letting agent looking after you when you may as well manage them yourself . Very disappointing with the management side of things . Have now dis instructed them

I had a wonderful experience with Peter…

I had a wonderful experience with Peter Alan Caerphilly during our move to our new home. The entire process was smooth and efficient, and the team was incredibly supportive throughout. They provided all the necessary information promptly and made sure we were well-informed at every step. Their professionalism and attention to detail made a usually stressful process much easier. I highly recommend their services to anyone looking for a hassle-free experience. Thank you, Peter Alan Caerphilly Lettings Manager Bethan!

Peter Alan Neath are con and scam…

Peter Alan Neath are con and scam artists interested in profit and commission and nothing else.

We’re hard sold their conveyancer apparently picked at random despite the promise of a quick and transparent process and purchase, that despite the promises, 6 weeks later we’re informed by the conveyancer they couldn’t represent us as they didn’t have our lender on their panel and that Peter Alan, despite their promises and hard sales to get that commission hadn’t bothered to even check.

They hounded us for £400 searches money before they’d even secured us a conveyancer telling us once one had been selected that was the best for us, this would then immediately go to them for the searches and progress the purchase quicker. Once our randomly selected conveyancer was chosen they contacted us for another £400 saying Peter Alan hadn’t passed on any money or even told them we’d paid.

We were also promised that searches money would be transferable OR refundable “whatever the reason” for no sale, something also contradictorily written on the advert for this offer, but upon the property sale falling through have been denied any money back or transferable searches, requesting further money to cover it.

No communication consistently for 6 weeks, promise after promise of the sales progression team contacting us and managing our case through to completion, which Shauna only contacted us after the purchase had fallen through via email despite the repeated promise of a phone call during the purchase to tell us after it fell through that it was all our fault and nothing to do with them.

Contacted the manager Jess herself and was told that she apparently is not responsible for the actions or promises made by her staff to mislead and hard sell services that they do not actually provide and that they will neither refund my money nor take any responsibility for the sale falling through that has both greatly affected us and the seller.

Peter Alan is a scam only interested in profit and commission, and have zero knowledge of what they’re doing or the properties they’re selling, and make empty promises and hard sales to make commission without doing any of the expected and minimal work required to actually facilitate the promises they’ve made.

I have begun the complaints procedure stage and will be taking this to the TPOS and the NTSELAT as what they are doing is criminal and outright incompetent.

Terrible estate agent, save yourselves time, stress, and money, and go elsewhere. Inept crooks the lot of them.

WORST AGENT I’VE EVER USED.

Used the appalling Bridgend branch for tenant find only service numerous times and have now done so for the very last time. Complete lack of professionalism throughout. Monies paid late (and usually short), no letting boards erected, continued to reference tenant for guarantor even though they did not tell me applicant had four CCJs against him, inventories not done until months after tenants moved in etc etc. Apart from the appalling service I consider PA are breaking the law after their now ‘released’ lettings Manager admitted in her email she had listed my property as ‘reduced’ even though it had not actually been reduced as this was PA’s ‘marketing technique’ to ‘get the property back to the top of Rightmove and Zoopla’. Sure that providing misleading information to consumers is illegal, at the very least highly unethical however PA Bridgend had no qualms about doing so, will be reporting this useless agent (and their shameful and most likely illegal practice to Trading Standards). Shame too on the lettings director to allow such practices to continue despite apparently ‘many other people complaining’.

As a tenant

As a tenant, my experience with Peter Alan Swansea Marina has been outstanding. From day one, Anthony and Louie have been professional, responsive, and incredibly helpful in ensuring everything runs smoothly.

Any issues that came up during my tenancy were addressed quickly and efficiently. Whether it was a maintenance request or a general query, Anthony and Amy were always quick to respond and resolve the problem with minimal disruption. Due to my new employment, I had to move to a different city and cancel my contract. The way Anthony and Louie helped was phenomenal. Within a day or two, everything was sorted out, and I became stress-free.

I highly recommend Peter Alan to anyone seeking a property agent who genuinely cares about their tenants and provides excellent service.

Thank you again for all your support :)
Sincerely,
Anum Mukhtar

Terrible treatment and absolutely useless

Absolutely awful experience from Bridgend branch, I wouldn't recommend them. From start to finish their communication was under par and later along the line none at all, we had to ring them!! Trust is not a key word to describe these people, money is all they think about. All they want to do is cover their backs, they have no proper knowledge and we had to answer all the questions the buyers had even though they should of known all the info. Very nearly lost everything because of them and they don't care one bit!

The most unprofessional company

Absolutely awful company. No one has a clue what is going on, always passing the buck blaming other people and never sorting out the issues they cause. No urgency what so ever. Being a landlord, the tenants have been in my house for nearly 2 months and haven’t received one payment. But when they need a payment they are quick enough to hound us.
The Maesteg branch and surrounding areas the most disorganised and inconsiderate.

“So bad I would give them a 0 but that’s not possible, so I give them a 1”
Avoid at all costs.

A consistently and impressively-poor experience

A consistently poor experience, PA is one of the laziest services I've had the poor fortune to deal with. We've had to chase them every step of the way for processes that had consequences for US - such as them simply never replying to essential emails regarding tenancy renewals.

On multiple occasions, we've contacted the landlord directly to simply receive a timely response on urgent legal matters. They didn't send our contract within time for renewal, then proceeded to send it without any of the essential documentation, and later failed to follow up on essential checks.

To this day, I'm not sure what PA actually bills for, as we've received only the most scant communication from them and - where that was the case - it was conveyed with a poor attitude, took far longer than is acceptable (e.g. no contract for renewal until the day prior - on a Friday), and required us to force the process at every step.

At this point, it's a wonder PA is remotely functional, but I guess that's the nature of property agents who seem hell-bent on squeezing out profits without adding any value to the renting/landlord process.

Avoid for renters, avoid for landlords.

Peter Alan Cardiff

Peter Alan Cardiff
My impression of this company is that it is understaffed, disorganised, inconsiderate and extremely discourteous. I made an appointment to view a property, unfortunately it was 80 miles from where I live. When I arrived 20 minutes before the viewing I received a message saying that they had cancelled the viewing. I rang them, they did not answer. I left a message stating I had arrived to view the property and had driven 80 miles to do so. They did not return my call. I rang several more times and left two further, increasingly irritated messages. They never rang me back, making no attempt to explain or apologise. I travelled 160 miles round trip for nothing and they did not even have the grace to apologise. Not only did it cost me time and money, it also lost the vendor a potential sale. Most unimpressive indeed.

Absolutely disgusting company

Absolutely disgusting company. Was prepared for them to be letting agents for my elderly fathers home as he lives in London, they rushed through the procedures. Didn’t send him references until the week of the tenants moving in and then told my father he must remove all of his belongings the DAY BEFORE the move knowing full well he is in London and my dad questioning for 2 weeks about it being furnished!! Told the neighbours all of my dad’s business regarding the rental before even speaking to my father and also don’t ever answer the phone. The agreement has now been called off due to this, the tenants hadn’t even moved in and we are already having major issues! AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
