Fantastic Service & Quality Roses

Excellent quality rose well packed and delivered on time. The rose was a bare root recently potted up, so there was little root development, but it transplanted well, and is currently looking good.

Received an ill-looking bare root rose
Received an ill-looking bare root rose. The disease is apparent on the main stems. When I sent the photos to customer service, they said they didn't see anything wrong and after trimming the rose should be fine. I will not order from them anymore.

Beautiful Colours
I was so pleased to be able to purchase a range of bicolour roses from Peter Beales. The roses arrived safely and were carefully packaged. I have only just planted them but they arrived healthy and I cannot wait to see how they flourish! I was able to choose from a range of rose types and selected two climbing roses which I am very excited about!

Peter Beales roses - just, don't.
I ordered a rose from this company as a mothers day gift. It arrived in a PAPER BAG. No protection from the battering of transit. On opening the bag i was dismayed. Virtually all the shoots had been broken off and were lying in the bottom of the bag. The roots looked like they had gone a few rounds in a boxing ring. One branch was snapped off. I emailed the company, enclosing photos, and the response was, basically,
"we always send bare root roses that way, we've looked at the photos and the plant seems healthy, dont worry, it will soon recover and more shoots will grow...."
SERIOUSLY?
"Here ya go, mum, your Mothers day gift is broken and squashed and looks rubbish, but dont worry, it will grow back...."
So disgusted with them, first and last purchase from Peter Beales roses....

All of our bare root roses are dispatched using industry-standard protective packaging. Each plant is carefully prepared, with the roots wrapped and sealed inside a recyclable plastic liner to retain moisture and prevent them from drying out during transit. This is then placed within a durable outer paper sack for protection. Bare root roses can also remain in their packaging for a short period if kept in a cool place before planting.
Roses are resilient plants by nature. While some movement during transit can occasionally cause minor stem damage, this does not usually affect the plant’s long-term health or performance, and fresh growth will develop once planted and established. That said, we appreciate that any visible damage can affect first impressions, particularly when the rose is intended as a gift.
Our customer support team always aims to reassure customers about plant health, but we’re sorry if our response felt dismissive of your concerns. If any rose fails to establish properly, it is covered by our 12-month guarantee and we are always happy to help further.
For customers purchasing gifts, we often recommend our potted roses, as they provide a more immediate visual impact while offering the same garden performance.
