Awful company! Bad experience! Parking fine!

Was staying at the Ibis London Heathrow Airport UB3 5AL, they use this company for their car parking. Phone and Pay app is awful, constantly asks for a pin that doesn’t work, then try to do “forgot password” which it sends you a verification code for and then has no option to put that code in anywhere. Called the number instead to pay for parking, automated system, have to give my number plate verbally and all it does is play your voice recording back, doesn’t repeat it back so probably doesn’t even register your number plate right. I type in my card details and it verifies completion. No email confirmation and I can’t check transaction history in the app as I can get in and no record when I finally get on to the actual website. A week and a half later I get a letter through the post for a fine for non payment!! This is absolutely disgusting. Your website, app and phone is not user friendly! I did everything right and it is not my fault that your company seems to have not taken the payment from my valid card. I would like someone to contact me via this to discuss and send proof of my phone call and payment

I made the mistake of forgetting my password and now I’m stuck in the never ending world of it sending me a new code and then not accepting the new code. The app couldn’t be more annoying. Never going to use it again.

Very badly designed app

I have tried to use phone and pay in areas that offer a period of free parking first, and payment after that expires. The design of the app is appalling. There is no ‘nearest car park option’, so if you have not noted the location number you cannot pay to park. Try and look it up on their site and you need a pin, being the last 4 digits of your registered payment card. Try to register a payment card, and you need to enter a location number …. Now I am trying to add a payment card ahead of my next visit, so that I am ready to simply pay, but I cannot do that without being asked to make a payment … Totally infuriating!

ABSOLUTE SCAM

ABSOLUTE SCAM

Paid for parking. Have screenshot of the transaction. Have received a PCN anyway.

Completely ignoring me via email. Phone line is useless.

They really need investigating as this seems to be happening to other people leaving reviews.

PhoneandPay - the worst parking app out there

Tried to use use the services of phoneandpay to pay for parking. Calling the number is no good because their system is down for 'maintenance' It urges you to use their app. The app is a waste of code...... The clunkiest most rubbish user interface out there - I mean, if this had been a primary school computing project, it would have been given an E and a 'SEE ME' comment in red biro. Needless to say after a protracted registration process - the app would not work - I was unable to set how many hours I wanted - all I got was 'Error! Please select another time' - PhoneandPay - you are ABSOLUTELY USELESS - why Liverpool City Council still use you is a mystery

Do not pay fine. Take them to small claims court instead.

Worst app of all time on Google and apple play stores. It doesn't work. If you end up getting a ticket as a result of this malfunctioning app - take this company to small claims court. Get them to pay for your ticket and your time. They are making money by getting commission or if they fail to provide the service they should be liable to pay for their failures. Take these reviews and reviews from other sites as an evidence. We have a good case here. If this was USA we would have had a class action by now against them.

Is this a scam?

We will never use this company again! Through no fault of ours we have been forced to pay a fine of £60 (£100 if paid after 14 days). This occurred at Holme-next-the-Sea (Norfolk). After we arrived in the car park, we phoned the number displayed and gave all details requested of our credit card, car registration number and location code. We made a payment of £3 for two hours parking. We had walked away along the beach when we received a text saying "To confirm your parking session and for security purposes URGENTLY reply with your vehicle registration only". This we did, but they also requested all details again and this happened 4 more times! We heard no more until we received a parking charge notice through the post for £100! We appealed and gave evidence of our repeated phone calls but this was rejected VERY quickly. They say if you appeal further to Parking On Private Land Appeals and that is rejected the full fine is payable. We now don't trust the whole system, so have decided to pay the reduced fine.

Absolute shambles

Absolute shambles. Customer service is behind a 5 minute phone call. Unhelpful, cannot amend the details that they ask for, which they have incorrectly recorded. May as well just leave the car without paying as it would be less stressful than using this piece of carp. Tried to phone back customer service after they told me to clear the info on the app and start again, the app won't let you do this and suprise, suprise, it is impossible to get hold of them again.
Standing in the rain trying to sort out this piece of nonsense and then went into the restaurant that we were visiting, when I noticed a traffic warden, I asked him for advice, he was helpful as far as he could be, but couldn't do anything - even though he new from previously, that this app presents the exact same problems. Went and got some change, of course you do not get any credit for being over on payment - no change given. Watched from the restaurant as traffic wardens proceeded to give tickets aplenty. Never seen so many TW's in one place. Lots of extra income for Liverpool City Council. Of course this is no means indicative of a money making exercise. Liverpool City Council, is noted for being completely above board, and I for one completely agree with this assessment.

The reviews say it all

I loved this app it was the best by far years ago BUT I don’t think there is any doubt it’s the worst now. Stupid things like you have to have a location number to add a card WHY. It’s unreliable it says valid cards are invalid. In short it simply unreadable which is a shame as it was trouble free in the past. No surprise just about all locations in our area have changed to a new provider and I will park in an alternate car park until this one is changed.

Avoid-these people are horrible having poor tech so people can’t actually pay. Spend 10 minutes trying and naturally give up but get an unreasonable fine.
Other companies like Ringo manage their tech fine.
These people are exploitative.

Terrible App

By far the worst app for parking ever, have to use this all the time at my local car park, every time without fail I have to sign in and every time without fail I get told my password is incorrect even though it's saved in my password app, every time I have to click forgot password the SMS or email gives you a ridiculous combination of letters numbers & symbols that you can't copy and paste and I'm in the middle of a car park with nothing to write it down, when I eventually get in every time without fail I have to re-authenticate my payment card, then authorise that on my banking app then it fails. I hate this app it's absolutely awful unfortunately it's not like I have another option if I need to park

Dreadful experience trying to deal with this organisation. Avoid at all costs! Probably a scam. I have been advised to report them to Action Fraud and Trading Standards.

Someone needs to take action SCAM

Someone needs to take action against these scammers who exploit individuals seeking parking without receiving a ticket. These fraudsters charge for parking and then issue a £100 ticket, forcing payment or potentially involving debt collectors. It's crucial to address and curb such deceptive practices.

Scammer

I regret to share a negative experience regarding our visit to the Shri Sanatana Hindu Temple. Despite paying the parking fee, we encountered an unfortunate situation where the company overseeing parking seemed to engage in unethical practices. Despite providing all necessary details, they failed to honor the £2 tickets and instead charged an exorbitant £100. It's disheartening to witness such behavior in a holy place, and it raises questions about the integrity of those involved. It's alarming to see similar complaints on platforms like Trustpilot, indicating a pattern of misconduct. Temples should be sacred spaces free from such exploitation, and it's disappointing to see otherwise.
