they are thieves
they are thieves, they don't allow me to book more than 30 minutes through the app, so if I need 1 hour I have to pay twice for 30 minutes, which is more expensive.
Fraudulent conduct
Took us 25 minutes (first time we'd come across this Parking App) to access the system in order to pay. We then paid longer than we stayed. They still issued a PCN because we were unable to pay within their arbitrary 10 minutes. We appealed to them direct. Turned down. We then took it to POPLA and within 24 hours they withdrew our PCN.
Therefore, do not be intimated by them and appeal, appeal and appeal, if you have grounds as we did!
They charged me £60 even i paid for parking i took extra time because of their shet system
I tried to pay with my phone but their service pay by phone was not recognised my car number plate T or P letters
They sent me £60 tickets even I paid £4.
This is money making scheme
Absolutely disgusting vile scam…
Absolutely disgusting vile scam company!! Can’t believe the useless government allow such fraudsters to exist! Parked in a London car park! Registered details, they intentionally have a poor line setup and only allow registration by voice recognition so they can defraud you by claiming they haven’t taken your details properly! Was outraged to see weeks later a fine for £60 and a charge of 0.01p taken from my back account! So I successfully set up my number and card but you will claim my reg number didn’t go through?! Contesting this outrageous grossly unfair fine!! Will persist on every platform to this gets resolved! STAY AWAY YOU ARE NOT SAFE HERE
Unacceptable failures
I am shocked local councils/ chamber of commerce allow this organisation. Yes parking is cheap but it isn’t if the app is engineered to fail. Would take Ringo any day!! How are they still able to operate when it is clear from reviews they are problematic.
I’d give less than 1 star if I could
I’d give less than 1 star if I could. The app is so glitchy and awful it took over 25 minutes to pay. With a 10 minute time slot to pay you have to wonder is it deliberately engineered that way.
I’ve never encountered so many glitches…
I’ve never encountered so many glitches in a modern app, to the point where I’ve deleted it from my phone. I came on this site to see if I was not alone in having so much trouble. Clearly, I am not alone.
Charge you twice and then pretend they refunded you
They charge you twice, ignore your email for weeks and then claim they already refunded the duplicate charge when they haven't. Scammers.
Worse than useless
Useless. App required a change of password. Had to input it 3 times and it said not recognised. Tried 5 times with witnesses. Why on earth does Stanford council use this coy ?
Absolutely dumb and ridiculous, and stressful
Absolutely dumb and ridiculous. Honestly everything we tried to do would not get recognised and the app just DOES NOT WORK. We're just trying to pay at a car park where the machines are not working so we have to pay via Phone and Pay and we're probably gonna end up with two fines because of this stupid app. Literally took us probably half an hour of trying for it just not to work...
Absolute predatory scum.
Really poor
Really poor, wouldn't recognise password, wouldn't accept the new pass code, didn't send SMS message and is really slow.
Scammers of the tenth degree
Scammers of the tenth degree, can’t get through on the phone and their car park signage is abysmal. Booked into a hotel and a sign in front of the disabled bay informed me I must pay, absolutely no mention that it’s free parking for disabled hotel residents. Tried every phone number I could find to cancel the change but everyone went to the automated payment system.
Awful service
Awful service. Tried to top up my traffic. Called and had to register and once registered I need the code for where I was parked which I didn’t know so oli looked at my messages and then I was cut off. I called back and it said to do the same and reregister so this is the third time I registered. By the time I did this I am now over my time so there a possibility of get a pcn. Not a friendly platform. Don’t use. Better of parking in a barriered car park. I also tired to login using end card info and mobile. It didn’t recognise me. Terrible system.
If I could give Phone and Pay a zero…
If I could give Phone and Pay a zero star I would. What a poor customer experience. I arrived at the camberly leisure centre with 30min spare to have a quick swim. I downloaded the app, was fine. It forced me to register... With a lot of unnecessary personal details name, surname, email... I am just parking. The "accept conditions" tick box does not work... I eventually found a work around. Non of the app would pre-populate from my previous filled in forms... Eventually I completed the entire form... Only then to be told I have registered before. So had to go thru password reset... Which I had to do twice as the form is so badly designed I wiped out the previous password.... Which I didn't clearly know.... Why would u make the "previous password" field editable!? I clearly don't know it! Anyway... I had to do it a second time. Once I had logged in, I had to add a payment card... What a faff. Had to refill in all my address and personal details!! And trigger a mini payment... After selecting the wrong type of card from a long list of options.... So had the pleasure of doing that twice too! Finally I manged to pay my £2. I got to the gym counter to be told that since there is now only 10min left till the end of the swim session.... I can't swim!? Whhhhat!? 20mim of fiddling on the app and paying £2 and no swim. If any councils are considering this solution, just try the above process for yourselves. It's a horrible citizen experience.
App is poor and too many hidden charges.
I download the app today while visiting the cinema, it took me 10 minutes to register to be told I already have an account. I was in such a rush that I didn’t notice after changing the sms contact settings to NO it had reverted to yes and charged me the privilege of telling me I’m parked and then charged me again for a receipt 20p in total.
When I got home I went on the app and changed them again, closed the app and went back on and it had reverted back again. This is disgusting and a con to get more money out of you.
I did phone and was told I would be refunded and that the settings had now been changed. I have been back onto the app and they are now showing as no sms messages.
I visited Brentwood William Hunter Way…
I visited Brentwood William Hunter Way car park on two consecutive days around midday (July 2022). I registered my car with Phone and Pay on the first day of my visit, as it operates in this car park. Bought change with me due to the number of negative reports on here. Need not have worried. Found a parking space, logged in, paid for the parking time I wanted and went to my appointments. Got SMS and receipt electronically for an extra 30p as proof is always handy that a transaction has gone through. This happened seamlessly on both occasions. Will certainly use again.

At best USELESS …
At best USELESS wouldn’t open said I was logged out, I tried to login but didn’t know the password so used the forgot password link cut and pasted the sent password but it said password was wrong
I give up but tried again later this time it let me straight in and showed my details even though it said my password was incorrect ???
The worst thing is it simple doesn’t work and logs you out for no reason.
Shocking
Shocking. I entered all my details correctly including location etc as per signage and bank account details and believed the parking charges would be taken out automatically- why else would they need bank details, and parked for 29 mins. I have now received and PCN saying they have no record of payment. 2 days later they did take 1p out 2 days later and refunded it the same day. I did not download the app, the signage says either ring the number or use the app. I have appealed this but it has been rejected saying I did not pay ?? I will now appeal with POPLA. Watch this space
