Photo mast is the must have photo accessory .I use it all the time for commercial exterior photography and my colleagues in same industry are constantly asking to borrow it ! Forget about the hassle and legislation around drones ..Photomast is the way ahead

I have a total of four of these for me and my team and would not consider using anything else. We have been using them for years and not once have they ever let us down in any way. These are the best masts I have ever seen.

I've researched a great deal looking for a mast type mono stand before buying my PhotMast. First opening the box I was still hesitant placing my Nikon D850 and raising it to the full height (20'). Wow, I would recommend this to anyone wishing to elevate their camera above the crowd! I decided to add my phone with Camera Connect & Control Pro app which gives me total control and view from that raised camera. I have not tried other cheaper stands but believe pound for pound this is the best solution on the market.

I've seen cheaper products and even a DIY methods but I love the idea that this is very LIGHT as well as sturdy! It is a well thought out design with no other parts needed to make it work. Easy open clamps are secure and sliding the camera up and down is easy. Sliding down my camera does not drop. The rubber foot anchor is a wonderful way to keep stand in place. They even added a rest on top of pole allowing for longer exposures if you are near a wall the same height of camera. Yes I can recommend this produce!

Every aspect of working with Photomast has been terrific. John, the company owner and Photomast inventor, thoroughly answered all my questions and graciously helped me choose the best length for my special needs (a professional landscape photographer putting up to 10 lbs of medium format gear in the air). Shipment to the USA was fast and easily tracked. The 8 m mast is light and very strong, and surprisingly easy to use. John is a great designer and every aspect of the tool is well thought out and perfect for my needs on long hikes. John continues to correspond with me regarding tips and tricks even after the sale! I rarely write reviews, but the Photomast deserves high praise and I can confidently recommend it (and it’s designer).

I have been using the 10M Photomast for many years now and it has been faultless and an essential piece of equipment. The company stands by the product having having quickly repaired a minor issue for us and exceeding our expectations. Highly recommended!

This is a big expense that pays off in every way- SUPER user friendly, and relatively light. The only thing that is a tad laborious is repeatedly having to push the pole up and take it down for each individual shot but is a great work around for "drone" style photography without the risk of getting your license revoked for flying it over people. Another thing is the cam ranger app lags a bit but just takes a bit of finesse.

I just purchased my second Photomast, in 2014 I purchased the 8 meter, and love it so much I have added the 6 meter. I wanted something slightly smaller for events and home interiors. My 8 meter has been an integral part of my kit for 5 years and held up very well, its build is the highest quality and has lasted the test of time. I am pleasantly surprised by the upgrades that have been made over the last five years as well, I would highly recommend Photomast!

I purchased the 6 meter Photomast, which for me has the perfect balance between length both extended and retracted, and weight of the pole. In many urban areas it is not permitted to fly with drones. The Photomast can then still give a unique elevated perspective to your photos, and at much higher quality than most drones can with the use of a good DSLR or mirrorless camera set-up. The Photomast is more than strong enough to hold my maximum 2 kg of gear safely. The tilting rubber base is very convenient, allowing you to balance the Photomast well, also on uneven ground. Customer service was very responsive, professional and friendly. Overall a high quality, well-designed and easy to use product. Recommended!

I purchased the Photomast for fieldwork (specifically for use looking straight down at vegetation) and have just completed an extensive test of the system with my first project. I can say the system performed flawlessly. All 5 sections were extended and retracted at leat 40 seperate times and all of the locks performed smothly and flawlessly. The system was used in adverse weather conditions (rain, cold, and high winds), and again performed flawlessly. I have very happy with the quality of the system and look forward to using it for landscape photography.
