I've used this company twice, for plumbing. The workman has come promptly, done very good work and communicated well. However, this is what I would expect – this is the most expensive company I have... See more

Lee and Tony changed my water heater within hours. Tested it and explained everything I needed to know. They were courteous and left the area clean. I would not hesitate to recommend this company.

We rang Pimlico plumbers as an emergency water leak had occurred, they sent out relevant drain specialist the same day and he then recommended that a plumber would come the next day and would also be needed to order and refit parts we needed to complete the job. it was a bit expensive as Plumber and Drain specialist needed separate payments for the work they did. Overall we are happy that there was a solution to the leak and repairs were done.

Very quick response to call -booked an emergency plumber, who arrived within a couple of hours. The Plumber was well organised, thorough with a high standard of service. Equipped with suitable parts and had a very good set of tools ensuring the best repair was achieved.

I ring, a time is arranged and kept and if there are delays(once there was) the switchboard team are really good and quickly you get a call and a new time.
It’s pricey but you get what you pay for and I’ve been consistently impressed by the professional courteous people who come and solve problems at our property.

Sean communicated clearly, was here on time, did the work quickly and helped us understand the issue.

Punctual and gave me a great explanation of the fault and what he was fixing.

Called their service to have my boiler issue repaired. The engineer did just open the case, just had a visual check, gave me an inflated repair quote (no details of which part costs what etc.) and tried to push for a full boiler replacement. Was a complete waste of my money, unfortunately.

Really shocking service. Be warned. Still waiting for a refund for services not provided three weeks ago, after they sent a guy to dispose of our fridge who did not know that you can’t saw a fridge in half without knowing how to carefully remove and dispose of the toxic refrigerant first. (Even though I had mentioned this multiple times on the phone and checked they would send someone appropriate). They actually sent two guys too - the first guy never turned up, the second guy a few days later was about to unsafe saw the fridge when I had to stop him. Was promised a refund that hasn’t arrived yet, and not yet had a response to my urgent email. If it doesn’t get sorted out soon k will be taking them to the small claims court. I’ll never use PP again.

Pimlico fixed our problem but charged us £400 for a part we don’t have. We’ve called and texted multiple times to either get a refund or have the part returned and Pimlico have never replied. It’s now been over 6 months and we’re still waiting for our £400.
[Editing to respond - we’ve called and texted to alert them to the issue and we have proof of that from call logs on our phones and text chat. The fact they are saying they were not made aware of the issue “before I posted the review” is not correct. They also don’t have any of our details to know how to look into this, so do not believe they will take any action.”

Do Not Recommend - Be Warned!
I booked Pimlico to replace the hot water cartridge for my shower. A plumber attended the same day, turned off the water supply, and removed both the temperature control and the water on/off knobs. He then advised that if the cartridge did not reconnect correctly, he would not be able to restore the water supply. He recommended leaving it as it was and said there would be no charge for the call-out. He then left.
After he had gone, I noticed that the water on/off knob had not been refitted properly, as it was misaligned, and the hot water control was spinning all the way around. I contacted the company that same evening and was told that no one could attend until Monday.
On Monday, another engineer attended and confirmed that the knob had not been fitted correctly and should not have been left spinning freely. He refitted it. He also found that the on/off knob had been jammed, which meant he could not remove it.
I then made a complaint to the customer service team and received an automatic reply stating that I would receive a response within two working days. I did not receive a response in that time. When I called to follow up, I was told that I could not speak to the team directly and that they would contact me by email.
Since then, I have received several emails from the customer service. They have not accepted responsibility for the issues identified during the visit, and I have been charged for the initial call-out (that the engineer told me there would be NO charge as he had not carried out the work).
Based on my experience, I would not use this company again and would strongly advise others to proceed with caution. Record all your communications with them, and take a video prior to them starting work.

I chose Pimlico Plumbers because of their stellar brand reputation, expecting a premium level of problem-solving expertise. Unfortunately, I was left feeling completely fleeced by a business model that seemingly rewards inconclusive results over actual service.
I paid a £156 upfront attendance fee for an engineer to investigate a leak coming from a concealed toilet cistern. The engineer arrived, looked at the setup, and concluded in his official report that the exact source of the leak "cannot currently be confirmed" due to restricted access. Rather than conducting a meaningful investigation, he simply used his time to write up two astronomical fixed-price quotes to completely dismantle or replace the system, ranging from £830 to over £1,532.
Unwilling to accept an expensive guess, I hired a local independent plumber. Working under the exact same property constraints, he successfully accessed the unit, immediately identified the source of the leak, and completely repaired it for £380 + VAT.
When I contacted Pimlico's customer service manager with the proof that the issue was easily fixable, they flatly refused a refund. They claimed that their engineer failing to find the leak was actually a "cautious diagnostic approach" and that providing a text-book corporate deflection constituted a completed service.
Paying a premium brand £156 just to be told they don't know where a leak is—while any competent local professional can locate and fix it cleanly for a fraction of their proposed cost—is an absolute failure of service. I am now recovering the funds via a Section 75 dispute through American Express. Save your money and hire a local independent trade professional instead.

I had a site visit on Wednesday 6 May which went very well, the engineer Anthony discovered a problem with my water meter. I then waited for the report and photos which I was promised by email. The report arrived 9 days later following 3 phone calls and I am still waiting for the meter video and photo to be sent by email 13 days after visit. Engineers are good but office very poor.

We had an excellent experience with Lucas, the drainage technician, who was very personable, professional and got our issue resolved in as short a timeframe as I could have hoped for.
