Change of cruise because of Covid 19 restrictions.
I had booked a cruise through planet cruise.ie for christmas time 2020 with MSC Cruises, however because of the covid 19 restrictions and our government not recommending any travel outside of ireland we won't be able to go. I contacted Planet cruise and there wasn't any problem moving my deposit to another cruise for next year without any charge, the staff i dealt with Dennis Anderson, Amanda Stein and Natasha were courteous very helpful and answered my queries very satisfactorily by email and Natasha phoning me to make sure all my needs were met and explained everything about my new cruise professionally. I would recommend Planet Cruise especially to novice cruisers like me.

So just got off the phone from Princess Cruise to confirm that as we thought they never received the payment we made to Planet Cruise in March! Our cruise was cancelled about 6 weeks later and here we are 145 days on and Planet Cruise still have our £10K! Promised we’d have it in 90 days then 120 days, still waiting. Stopped ringing because I feel for the staff being forced to lie to me and tell me they are processing refunds in order! I know that is not the case. Be patient I’m told! I think I’ve been patient enough!!!

Planetcruise has to be the most difficult company that you could do business with. I emailed them on 11 August and I received a computer generated response on 15 August from the ubiquitous "Miss Care". The now say they have placed me on a priority list for payment.
I have just pointed out to them that this is the second time they have made me a priority for repayment. On the previous occasion they followed up by requesting my bank details. This lulled me into believing they intended to pay. Their ability to concoct lies and false promises is astounding.
I have yet to see any review report that would indicate they have refunded money to anyone. If I were to be repaid I would be the first to acknowledge it publicly.
They are the worst company ever and not to be trusted with anyone's money.

STILL waiting for a refund from Planet Cruise who are part of Iglu. Its well over the original 60 days and well over the 90 days that they promised by email to pay the money back. Various emails appear but no refund.
I made my first phone call to you ten days ago and an operator assured me 'ever so nicely' that they did have the money back from Marella Cruises and I was due a refund in a 'few days'. Still nothing has arrived in my bank account.
After joining the Iglu Refund Action Group on Facebook I have now had to write a poor review and will be emailing my MP Rachel Hopkins of South Luton for help in this matter.
I do have the option of revoking Section 75 with my credit card but hoping that Iglu will see sense and refund me immediately before it costs them even more money. My final option will be to bring a small claims court action with costs.
Come on Iglu - do the right thing. You couldn't wait to get the deposit off me when I booked.
If you want your business to continue treat your customers with some respect otherwise they won't be your customers in the future.

It would be lovely to write a review based on how this company dealt with the booking and arranging of our cruise, because in fairness, once there was money to them involved they couldn't have been nicer.
However, the real measure of a company is how they deal with things when they go wrong, and for this I couldn't rate anything above abysmal. Appreciating fully the circumstances the entire world has been put through, not just the travel industry, the level of incorrect communication, fudging, obfuscation and untruths peddled by the customer service team is breathtaking. 150 days today since the official cancellation of our cruise, and over 60 since confirmation of Princess refunding monies to Planet Cruise, yet still no sign or whisper of when the refund is to be completed, only vague dates thrown about, and excuses of 25,000 cancellations a day for 3 months as justification for failure to return monies, (wonder what the legal position of that is). This experience does beg the question as to whether management have the competence to deal with a crisis 6 months after it began, or whether there really is a viability issue which they are hoping to ride out. Either scenario is not exactly confidence building.
I would definitely advise anyone who is planning a cruise to investigate how the company they will be dealing with handle things when they don't go to plan, as this one wouldn't be one I could recommend when your money is coming from their pocket.

I have used this company before and will use them again . The staff , especially Natacha Jelinic was very courteous, attentive and helpful in my dealings with them. Even in these chaotic times, I was really in calm waters with them. They assured me that once my money was received from the principals, MSC, my refund will be credited to my account and they honoured their promise. We were about 34 people going as group and they have told me that they will use this company in the future. In my own opinion, they are one of the best cruise agents as a regular cruiser i have used in the past 10 years.

In my dealings so far with Planet Cruises I found the staff efficient,helpful and very friendly. At present I am re booking a cruise that was cancelled in May because of Covid 19. There are two couples involved, the re booking is complex because of the manner in which the cruise company are dealing with refund credits. I am awarding 5 stars because the staff member I am dealing with replies promptly to e-mails, returns phone calls, tells you when he doesn't have the answer to a question and reverts as soon as he does. The cancelled cruise was my first time to deal with Planet Cruises; I will be using them again.

If there was a way of giving zero stars, I would. I booked a cruise to Hawaii from Los Angeles on Princess Emerald for Easter 2020. Including shore excursions, flights from Dublin to LA, hotel for a couple of nights, transfers from airport to hotel to dock etc it came to approx €5,000. I was travelling alone. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, I cancelled this trip and all my holidays for 2020. It has being like pulling teeth getting a refund. First after lots of phone calls, letters email etc, I got the shore excursions refunded. Princess Cruises confirmed they have refunded their portion of the costs to Planet Cruise but today, after 5 long months Planet Cruise (ATOL protected!) have emailed me to refund half the balance €1824.
So, my advice to any propective customer is first check the deals with Planet Cruise and then go directly to the cruise company to book your holiday Planet Cruise are no good
