Andy the boiler installer was really efficient and did a great job,he was punctual and friendly,and cleaned up as he went,I would have no hesitation in recommending him and Plumproud to family and friends

So I approached PlumbProud after searching a few companies online. Spoke with the sales assistant who booked me in for a install date quickly ( 3 days later) at a good price with what seemed a decent boiler, which was exactly what I was after so paid the 50% deposit upfront as requested. I was told that the install would take 1 day.

I explained over the phone and by email many times that my boiler install may be awkward due to the nature of the boiler location ( possible re-location) and the fact that it was an old non-condenser which are now obsolete.
I sent photos of the old boiler location/flue and surrounding areas along with as much info as possible to make the install as hassle free for the engineer. Even taking an afternoon of work (unpaid) to drive home (50 mile round trip) to take photos of my loft as requested from PlumProud at short notice.

When Kemar the engineer turned up LATE on the 25th of May (over an hour, with zero contact) he was completely unaware of the awkward install and had received no info that I had sent to PlumbProud from PlumProud to aid in the install and basically said that it was an impossible install.

He Hung around for 3 hours trying to decide on whether the install could be done. Finally decided that it could be done and it would require a little extra pipe work for the waste pipe and then re-booked a slot to come back on the bank holiday Monday to carry out the install (his choice) but I was happy with that as I had Tennent's moving in the follow day so I my eyes I just needed it done.

29th May I went back to the house early to wait for the engineer as he said he would arrive 8 am, gave him to 9.30am before I called in which he didn't answer. When he did phone back an hour later he told me his van had broken down and he was waiting on the AA. He told me he had broken down near Bodmin train station on the main road which is a very busy road but it was awful quiet when he phoned me! anyhow.... He told me if they can fix the van he will still carry out the install, so no problem. Left a key under the door so he could enter the property and carry out the install. Messaged him again at 4pm asking how he got on and he said he hadn't done the install!

NO apology, NO communication NOTHING. Tried to contact PlumbProud NOTHING. Doesn't help as they don't seem to have a customer care number!!!
Spent the next couple of days trying to contact PlumProud but no luck. They did finally get in contact with me and tried to re book a third time but it was too late as I had already delayed the tenants moving in and by now had lost faith in this company.

I dealt with Megan from customer services at the end and she was helpful and very apologetic and sent a refund request to the finance side on the 1st of June as they required 50% of the cost upfront £1478.00.
It is now 20th of June and I still haven't been refunded and I've been told today I still need to wait another 7 working days until the refund will complete plus my refund is £150 short due to some fee they charge even though they had every chance to carry out the install on 2 separate occasions but failed on their part !!!! Hardly feel that the charge is fair but I suppose I should of expected this from them.

I would highly recommend NOT to use this company, from the start it has been a disaster and has actually cost me money for NOTHING. The only reason I gave 1 star is because of Megan was helpful but by then it was a bit late.

Almost a month to refund is SHOCKING! saying that I don't have it yet so who knows!

Plumber arrived first thing and worked hard until job completed.
Reasonable price for good quality boiler.

Good explanation of our needs and choosing the right boiler, the filters came on time, very organised and professional and clean working

Great plumber Paul nothing was to much trouble for him,had problems with bee's in loft but he came back when I sorted it 10 out 10 for him

Harris came on time even though it was a 4 hours drive to london . He has done a fantastic job .

Great plumber explained all about new boiler was there at my house at 8am was very clean and tydyed up all his mess as he was going

Credit where Credit is due. Following my review last week about the Poor Customer Service from Plumb Proud, they made contact with me the very next day, and have now gone above and beyond to resolve the issue.

The boiler was chosen and photos sent to show the installation. The staff were polite and friendly. The gas engineer (James) did a fantastic job and listens to how I wanted the boiler installed. Very please with the whole job also less stress for me. Highly recommend.

On time, friendly, efficient and patient

He was very informative, as well as polite.
Got the job done quicker than I had anticipated and removed everything without me noticing.

The plumber did a very neat and efficient job and left the area clean and tidy plus removing the old boiler.
