I recently got a boiler installed just last week. The fitter came all the way from Leeds, when I live in lake district! The boiler came without thermostat although was included in the price. The fitter, suggested to continue with old thermostat and request refund from or a spare new thermostat. This was confirmed with company on phone. When refund or replacement didn't turn up, I phoned again (4th time). This time I was told, I don't need thermostat. On my persistent request, I was offered £10 refund as a favour ( new one costs £ 80 to £100 depending on quality). I requested a way to lodge official complaint and was told to go to customer care with information that he himself will be dealing with the complaint so not to expect any different outcome!

Is this to expect from internet company? I will have to find a way to take the complaint further. I will wait for a week for company to respond before going further.

Additional note- it's now one month since fitting boiler. After repeated calls, company agreed to send thermostat by post. Not delivered yet. A free first service was promised at initial order but no commitment since then in writing.
I am bit surprised, as many people have mentioned good service. I could be the one unlucky?

Quick and efficient service from initial contact to installation. Good communication from Emily. On day of installation plumber arrived promptly and work was undertaken professionally. Was given instructions on how to use new system. All round good service. Would recommend.

I can’t rate and recommend this company highly enough. We’d been without hot water due to a faulty boiler for 4 days and we needed to find one reasonably priced and get it installed ASAP. The self quoting system on their website was easy to use and told you exactly what price you’d be paying. Dealing with Sam Carnall on the phone was excellent, he was very knowledgeable and helpful and not the pushy salesman type of guy. I was kept informed about everything that would be happening, they arranged for a new boiler to be delivered the next day, ready for the engineer to fit and it arrived early in the morning so I wasn’t hanging around the house waiting.
Glen, the plumber / engineer who installed the boiler is an absolute professional, I’ve known and dealt with a lot of plumbers over the years but this guy beats them all, first class. Very friendly, very tidy, he placed dust sheets on every part of the house he knew he’d have to walk and took away every bit of rubbish. He took a good deal of time explaining exactly how to use the controller and how to top up the system with water should we need to. A real asset to Plumbproud. I’ve already recommended this company to a colleague who’s planning to renovate his property.

Everything done well, apart from a slight delay, but that worked well for me. The engineer who fitted the boiler was very professional and curtiuous. Would recommend PlumbProud.

Glenn Hall kindly came at short notice to fit our boiler when the original engineer cancelled at very short notice.
Glenn gave me an estimated time of arrival and came within it which was really useful.
I can't speak highly enough of him. Friendly,courteous and efficient.

Working with PlumbProud was a great experience. They were quick to get in touch with me and arranged the Gavin to come in to do the work. Gavin was absolutely fantastic, we couldn’t have asked for a better person. Communicates in advance on how he was going to do the job, did his research about place, dealt swimmingly with everything was thrown his way and worked tirelessly from early morning to night to change our back boiler system to a combi boiler. Made no excuses, no complaints and did the very best on everything. There is absolutely nothing stopping Gavin from completing the job. Very happy with the entire experience and definitely using them again.

Second fitter who came did excellent job plumb proud listened to my concerns and dealt with them accordingly.

Harris arrived on time and he was knowledgeable about the Worcester boiler he installed. He answered all my questions politely and his work was first class. When he left he left everything tidy. I would recommend Plumbproud after my experience.
