Left hand does not talk to the right hand.

Great first call to investigate offering.

Poor transfer, total disruption, apathy, took whole day of chasing. Frustrating as told no disruption therefore did not plan for no service.

Once on board, none of the bill in alignment with the agreement.

2 Weeks in purchased mobile:mobile International package. 4 Weeks later told does only covers USA & Canada, when I stressed calls mainly to Germany and France.

* Charged twice for International package.
* Charged separately for actual International calls.
* Charged 66% over the agreed rate for fibre broadband.

...told would get a credit will sort, email with a set of numbers with no synergy to conversation.
...Followed by an email to stare International package covers USA and Canada only!

Would NOT recommend, painful! If you have joined check your bills. Left hand does not talk to the right hand.

Account terminated and they don't know why

With Plusnet for 3 years, no issues. Moved house, and took a new contract with them again based on the solid service in the past. Everything was up and running within 4 days of moving in to the new property. A week later broadband goes down. Troubleshoot, but no joy. Call PN. They troubleshoot, test the line, and "we are sorry to tell you, your account has been unexpectedly terminated. We don't know why this is". Only way to get broadband back is to create new account; told this would take "a few hours, or a couple of days at the most". This person was misinformed or just making stuff up. A few more calls to PN and I learn it takes 10 working days, because "open reach need to do their checks." . So, 10 working days where I will 'not be working' from home... hours on the phone to them, no broadband, and they tried to take £45 by direct debit (for the previous contract), three weeks after the termination date of the last contract. Fortunately I saw it coming and cancelled the old DD, so they didn't get their sticky paws on that... Cancelling them today.

Great Service at a Good price

As a start up business we needed the right product at the right price, and we went with Plusnet Business for our internet, phone and call package. And in complete contrast to the other reviews below we have found them to be excellent - and certainly much easier to deal with than BT. We now have Plusnet at home too and no complaints whatsoever.

Would give plusnet zero stars if I…

Would give plusnet zero stars if I could.

If you value your business dont use Plusnet.

I was previously with plusnet at a previous office and they were ok but when they get it wrong they are so bad it is beyond belief.

I had an office move planned - they cut my phone number off which resulted in customer complaints, booked for an engineer to come before the scheduled move in date and wasted around 2.5 days of my time with booking engineer appointments and waiting around who failed to turn up and eventually when finally on the 4th attempt I got an engineer round who told me the line was connected and someone just needed to flick a switch to connect my internet - they then failed to provide broadband. When I called to find out (after a 30 minute wait) why the internet wasn't working, they told me that it wouldn't work for another week - despite not informing me of this before. I have an internet business.

At no point did they display any sort of comprehension of the impact their failures had.

In total this whole experience has wasted about 2.5 days of my time. Today I cancelled the contract as I simply cannot have any more wasted time and have zero faith in this company's competence. Disgusted, beyond frustrated and absolutely livid at receiving such a disgusting 'service'.

Really bad internet. They haven't done me proud.

Switched over to Plusnet Business from another supplier who were raising their prices, but I have been so disappointed with Plusnet to date. Speeds have been very variable, sometimes slowing to a halt. I'm going to look into cancelling my contract mid-term as they are not providing the service we agreed on. The router is awful, so bad that we've had to connect up another one for WiFi. They may be cheaper than other suppliers but I regret falling for that. I can't wait to leave and have decent internet service again.

Do Not Use

Absolutely disgusting service from Plusnet for our business broadband and phone line. We chose to switch to them when our contract was up with EE - what a mistake. On the day of transfer, no broadband and no phone line. Called Plusnet to be told the order had been lost in the system even though they’d managed to take the money from our account. All they have done since is blame everyone else for the issues - EE, Openreach which I find unacceptable. Who knows how much this has cost? Absolutely terrible, avoid at all costs

Want to waste hours of your time going…

Want to waste hours of your time going round in circles on a website help section?
Like to scream out loud and throw objects close at hand across the room?
Not getting the broadband speed you were promised?
Wish you had never signed up?
Welcome to Plusnet.
If you know what a "leaky bucket" sales strategy* is, then Plusnet must be a triple Grade A example.
I have only one piece of advice for anyone thinking of joining Plusnet. Don't.
* The leaky bucket sales model is when you have to constantly keep filling it (with new customers) because the current ones are leaving just as fast.
To be fair to Plusnet, I'm not sure any other telecoms company is any better. At least they aren't scarring Britain's pavements everywhere, like Virgin are, putting fibre optic in. I mean, do you really need internet that is 7 x faster? Anyway, if you want budget internet, poor service and broken promises, then Plusnet "will do you proud". Really really proud
PS. I have set a timer to see how long it is before this post gets a response from an "apology bot" with the inevitable..." we are sorry you have had a bad experience..sob story". Here's a challenge. Why don't Plusnet run an advert campaign where the cheeky chappy bloke gets down on his knees and begs for forgiveness, for PN's bad service. Including a detailed explanation of why, once you have a late payment, you can't go online and pay. Come to think of it, OFCOM can add a sincere apology for letting companies like this operate. OFCOM? I hear you say....you're right, MIA, do they even still exist?

You get what you pay for they say

You get what you pay for they say! But basically we get nothing and are tied into a long contract but we’re unable to use the internet because it’s so slow and it’s affecting our business massively at an already difficult time.
They offer no help, other than to say we can send open reach but you’re likely to be charged £150 or so!!
Our business can’t function with no email or internet.
Your company is a joke. We get signed up it works ok for a month then doesn’t function and we’re tied in or risk a big bill to get it checked out. Seems like one big scam to me. Do you get commission from the open reach charge I wonder?
We have no option than to get another provider and continue to pay you. What a joke. Taking advantages of business in the current climate. Wished I’d looked at these reviews before signing up.
Complete scam and complete joke.
Going to contact ofcom. Joke company.

Appalling website no information available!

Have been a very happy customer of Plusnet in the past, so decided to recommend to a new business.
If you go on their business website it does not matter which link you click on you never get to a page that details their packages and costs. So how can I put a package together for the business with options and costs.
So, will have to look elsewhere!

Very poor and unfair service!

Very poor and unfair service!
Had proplems with the internet after a 23 months(Only had 1 month left on contract) ,So Plusnet net cheekily closed my old line and put me on a new 24 month contract. They said this is the fastest way to get you up and running again. When the time of the old contract was over I called Plusnet and they said,"You are on a 24 month contract and we cant give you the better deals we have for new customers."

Unreliable & unprofessional

I signed up to business broadband on Sept 13th and after many missed appointments, delayed engineers and countless hours on the phone, I decided to cancel on 26th Oct. My internet had still yet to be properly installed so I gave up. I spoke to a different employee every time who all blamed BT open reach for their incompetence. Please do not use this provider for business internet. I was unable to open my new business on schedule due to these clowns and have lost revenue because of it. I was told by so many employees that the problems would be sorted...yet nothing. Some names include Numan Sindhu, Matthew Jackson, Nicholas Aldridge, Shaun Standrin, Charlotte Parkin. I really felt uncared for and forgotten about by this company and not one employee was able to take control or responsibility over the situation.

Plusnet have been proactive in helping me.

Having had issues with my existing broadband provider I decided to go back to Plusnet, which I left due to renewal cost a few years ago.
I telephone the sales department and transfered my broadband back to them.
A week later when the service went live I called customer services to ask for a stactic IPaddress, which was initiated while I was on the phone. The customer service advisor told me that the spedd I was getting was slow and to call back in a couple of days if still slow, if you call 50mbs slow.
A couple of days later I called Plusnet again to let them know the speed had not improved and they then ran checks and agreed I should have better speed.
From this ppoint onwards Plusnet have been proactive in getting Openreach engineers out to me to fix the issue. As a result I have 82mb now and I am supprised at how helpful Plus net have been. Hence the 5 star.

One star is too good for this company

Only gave them one star so I could write this review. I have been trying to get in touch with plus net for over a week . After 19 minutes I’m automatically cut of . Broadbands not working . As a business trying to start up again after Covid I don’t need their incompetence. Once my contracts up I will be moving providers . The best way to show my disgust is by walking away .

Switched from talk talk

Switched from talk talk following having many issues with them, the switch over process was much easier than expected.

Package is reasonably priced, so far the service is great and when we needed them we got someone who immediately resolved things.

If I was to add a negative we would say its a shame they do not offer VOIP.

Wouldn’t give Plusnet 1 star if I didn’t have to. We’re meant to transfer our broadband over and didn’t send router in time. Then the transfer didn’t happen and they have cut our broadband and telephone line off. As a small business during covid we can’t afford this. We have now been offline for nearly a week and Plusnet are sorting this issue out. Everyone avoid them like covid.

Appalling service - avoid

We told Plusnet we were leaving. They cut service off today the 14th despite saying the 18th was the day we would switch. We arranged for our new supplier to put it in on the 17th so we had no break.
We called Plusnet, they said they could do nothing about it. I asked to speak to someone in authority. He told me to hang on and then after 5 minutes he hung up.
I am disgusted with the treatment
