Excellent Service

Had never come across this company previously, but saw their site whilst looking for a 70 litre rucksack. Bought a Snugpak 70 from them and it arrived the next day. Product was exactly as described and of high quality. It was also far cheaper than on comparable websites.
I will definitely use Polimil again.....great company.

What a truly Terrible company

What a truly Terrible company, I ordered a £100 Snugpack top on the 5th October which is when they took my money and which was shown as in stock and I paid extra for next day delivery, the next day I received an Automated email saying the top was out of stock so would be delayed a couple of days, it’s now been 12 days and they have ignored 2 emails I have sent, so I have opened an PayPal dispute to recover my money.

I wish I had looked on Trust Pilot first before ordering

I would not use this company again even if they offered me the top for free...

There are so many excellent sellers out there why waste your time with this bunch of crooks

Brilliant service

Hi just thought I would drop you an email to say how pleasantly surprised I have been at the brilliant service I have received from yourself’s . After reading a lot of not very good reviews mostly on trust pilot I very apprehensively placed my order. But from the point of order to delivery I have to say polimil have been faultless.

Purchased a pair of boots last week

Purchased a pair of boots last week. Email was sent confirmed and took cahs out of my account. Then days after said they never had boots, offering other boots I did not want. Phoned today and they are closed at 935am, with no indication of when they’ll open. Extremely poor, once I get my money back I will not be shopping here again.

Payment is taken automatically upon the order being placed to ensure we can dispatch all orders on time when in stock rather than clearing payment manually at the end of the day for all packages dispatched (this is very time consuming and can cause order delays). Please be assured, it is never our intention not to supply an order/items on an order once payment has been taken.

We hold over a million pounds worth of stock at any one time. In the unfortunate event an item is out of stock in our own warehouse, we can usually source more of any out of stock item from the manufacturer within a matter of days. However, from time to time, the manufacturer is unable to supply us with more stock. This would mean that both the UK and European suppliers have sold out themselves.

If we cannot source the item from the manufacturer or the distributor, we will try and offer the closest available alternative, usually of equal or higher value.

In the interest of ensuring an item is in stock we recommend customers contact us to check before placing an order if an item is urgently needed. Our website does not offer real time stock updates for our listings and this is stated on the website along with our customer service phone line times (10:00 am-2:00 pm, Mon-Fri).

We notified you as soon as we knew we could not get the item you ordered in stock and your refund was processed as soon as possible once made this request.

We sincerely apologies again for any inconvenience that may have been caused.

Quick to take cash for what they don't have

Ordered some boots, they took my money. Got an email days later saying they were out of stock, no indicator of when or if they could get them, offered a lesser replacement. Took over a week for them to send me back my money after I requested they cancel. Boots still show in stock and available on their site- looking at other reviews they are really quick to take your cash, then whether you get your product is a gamble.

Unfortunately, we cannot determine which order is yours and do not have your details to hand to review this case further at this time, unless you would like to contact our customer service team in which we will happily investigate the problems you experienced.

Our website does not offer real time stock levels and is an online catalogue only, this is stated on our website as well for clarity. We do recommend that a customer contacts us before placing an order to check the stock availability in our warehouse, particularly if an item is required urgently.

We offer a wide range of products that are usually in stock in our own warehouse. In the event that we have failed to predict the popularity of an item and are out of stock, we then source the item from our supplier, usually within a few days.

Sometimes, our own suppliers are then out of stock of an item and we will then offer the most suitable alternative that we have available.

It is strange that you were offered an item of lesser value as we always try to offer something of equal or greater value, unless the item being offered was the closest match in terms of application and use.

Regarding, the late refund we sincerely apologise if there was any delay, in the interest of trying to keep customers happy we always try and get refunds processed as quickly as possible. The last thing we would ever want anyone to think is that we are holding on to customers money unjustly.

so after seeing all the bad reviews…

so after seeing all the bad reviews here i thought id just give a quick review of my experience.

Iv used Polomil for years and never had a problem. I dont order stuff that often but when i do it will be over £100 order.

Always use paypal, so in case anything does go wrong, you always have paypal to help you out.
Not that iv ever needed to as my service has been completely fine with them and orders get to me no problem at a great price.

Good communication, but website need updating

Ordered Meindl Boa GTX boots and Sorbothane Double Strike insoles. Received a confirmation email a day later, and boots arrived three days later. However, also received an email saying that the insoles were out of stock, and that they would give me Sorbothane Pro insoles instead if i wished so (which are roughly the same price). I agreed and the insoles arrived a few days later. Overall positive experience, although website should be updated about stock to avoid situations like this in the future. Thanks to Andy.

Confusing - multiple company names in correspondence

So. Very. Confused. Bought a pair of boots on the website - Got an email from 'Frog Island Sports' - not Polimil... Expected delivery between 3-5 days (as it said).. It's now 8 days later. But just had an email from DPD but about a delivery from 'Hockey Factory Shop'... saying that my delivery will arrive on Monday 20th. Don't think this is particularly helpful to customers! Maybe a good idea to have one outward facing brand?!
