Power a support is a pain in the ass

Power a support is a pain in the ass you take a picture of the front and back of the controller then a pic of your reciept sounds easy huh.Well after they contact you they tell you to use there app to fix your controller of course that doesn't work so you contact them again telling them the app did nothing well they contact you again telling you send another picture of the back controller because they can't read the sku and lot number on the back but however for some reason you can see the picture really well but they can't.You have to jump thru hoops to get a replacement from them i remember when it was so easy to get replacement controller from them now it is a royal pain in the ass to do so.

We apologize if the process of receiving a warranty replacement was inconvenient to you. When possible, we do attempt to troubleshoot the issue by updating the firmware or completing a calibration through the app, but it does not always resolve the issue. When it does not, we verify the purchase and the model of the controller with the images requested of you so that we can ensure you get the right product.

If you did not receive your warranty replacement, please let us know and reference this review so that we may expedite your return. Otherwise, we hope you got back to gaming quickly with your free warranty replacement.

This company sucks

Man, this company does not care about customer support in the slightest about a controller a little over a year ago. The controller worked for four days and then after that decided that it no longer wants to do anything that it’s supposed to do when contacting support half 1 million times I’m always given with the same fabricated copy and pasted options. They tell me take a picture of your controller with all this information. Send us a picture of your receipt if you still have it and we’ll do this one time courtesy and send you a new one. Well I no longer have my receipt and this whole issue is due to an update on their side with the hardware or the firmware on the controller and even if you try to update or set the firmware back it’s gonna be impossible because the controller will always fail. Yeah you can download there little app that’ll help you adjust and possibly get things going, but it’ll ultimately fail again and again and again.

Ummmm its alright

It has potential, but they need to allow to use any usb-c cable, as the one they provide is total ass, cheap controller to get you by but you have to sit like a robot so the cable doesn’t bend, or sell the controller with a spare cable.

I purchased a fusion pro 2 controller for added functionality on xbox. None of it works. You need an app to set functions, app not available. Sent a dozen messages back and forward to make zero progress. RT button only presses to about 90% when tested. Trigger stop buttons are unusable. Very disappointing

2 controllers broke In less than 2 months

Bought 2 controllers from Walmart for my grandson and his dad for my grandsons 9th birthday so they can play a game my grandon loves and in barely over a month, both controllers don’t work. One it’s a stick and the other won’t plug in right. A wired and a wireless. This company’s product is terrible. Do not buy

PowerA xBox/PC Wired Controllers

I’ve purchased several controllers (for Xbox or PC) from GAME and Argos, all from this brand.
In total, I went through around five or six units.

The first controller was replaced twice under warranty — the original developed issues with either the analog sticks or the RB/LB buttons, and the replacement did the same after 3–5 months.
When the third controller failed, it was no longer covered by warranty, so I bought a new one — which, unfortunately, also ended up with the same problems.

To be fair, customer service was great — they handled all exchanges quickly and without hassle.
But sadly, the long-term reliability of these controllers has been consistently disappointing.

That said, I have to acknowledge some positives:

The design and build feel great in hand — they’re comfortable, well-balanced, and made of pleasant materials.

The detachable long USB cables are a clever and practical idea — they can easily be replaced if damaged.

However, despite the nice design and ergonomics, the technical quality and durability of the controllers just isn't there, based on my experience.

Since then, I’ve switched to using the 8BitDo Ultimate Controller — and after months of regular use, I haven’t had any issues at all.

I had a controller owned for 8 months and it developed stick drift. I wrote to the company with photos of my receipt and they sent me a warranty claim to get a replacement or refund the next day.

Controllers are affordable but i like them and customer service was first class in my experience.

Not worth the savings.

I bought a controller to use for my PC. At the time, I thought it was an original controller from MS, only to realise it was a PowerA controller when I got it.

I saved about 100 DKK on it compared to an original controller, and I've had SO many issues with it from drifting on the left stick, and now the left trigger also activates the right at the same time, making it look like it just doesn't work.

Save your money up for an extra month if you need a controller, and buy an original controller instead. Stay away from this company at all costs.

I bought a PowerA enhanced wireless…

I bought a PowerA enhanced wireless controller at Sport Direct in Jan 2025, the box stated it has 2 year warranty! It cost £39.99 Now, less than half year, one button is not working and I asked for repair, they just say I bought it from an unauthorised reseller, so that I didn’t get warranty, it is totally unfair and ridiculous that I need to know who is the authorised reseller before I buy sth. even it is a chain store company ‘Sport Direct’?The customer service of Apower is very KIND too which give me link to let me know their company policy so that I have no chance to have that trick next times!

Warranty issue - Power A Nano Enhanced Wireless Controller

Purchased a brand new Power A Nano Enhanced wireless controller for the Nintendo Switch in December 2023 at the local game store. Exactly 1 year later the controller started having issues - disconnecting randomly or froze and isn’t responding to any button pressing. The controller was rarely used to date, as I am an occasional gamer only.

Despite the controller still being within the two years warranty, Power A refuses to allow for the warranty claim because it wasn’t purchased from Walmart or Best Buy. Their policy is bullshit - it shouldn’t matter which retailer the controller is acquired from as long as it was brand new and proof of purchase is available. That sure is one way to avoid ever having to deal with warranty claims. CUSTOMERS BEWARE!

They do NOT stand by their product.

I was given their special edition Fortnite controller as a present for the holiday and after less than five hours worth of gameplay, the left thumbstick came of it's track/lost tension. I'm not really sure what the technical terminology would be but no matter how you describe the issue, the controller still doesn't work. I went on the website and noticed that there is a two year warranty so I filed a claim explaining the problem. I have the purchase receipt and sent pictures. After some emails back and forth of PowerA wanting me to update the firmware in the controller and a manual calibration, they send me a final email stating "unfortunately, physical damage voids the warranty" with a link alluding to the controller being tampered with. I don't understand how a company can charge $90 for a controller and not stand by it's product. Do NOT buy anything from PowerA. Best case scenario is you get an expensive paperweight.

100% recommend this company

I bought a Nintendo Nano controller back in April 2024. It never worked, but I never made a claim on it because I continued to forget. Fast forward to January of 2025, I went to play Mario Cart with my partner and realized (again) that my controller was faulty. I contacted the company via their website and received a PROMPT response. They just confirmed when I bought it, the serial number, and lot number. After that, they sent me a brand new one- free of charge! I received it today and can confirm that the lights actually work on this one! I cannot thank this company enough for having their products backed by warranties. The controller cost me $59 and I'm so thankful I didn't have to spend that on another one. 100% recommend this company and if you have any claims, go to the official website to file it.

I bought 5 of their Peely 3.5mm…

I bought 5 of their Peely 3.5mm earphones on amazon that should have came with a code for "Its complicated" fortnite emote.
After redeeming the codes that came with it I got codes for a wrong item in all 5 boxes. The code was for "prickly axe pickaxe" even though on the physical card with the code it said it was for the emote they advertised.
After contacting them via their email I was told "we believe this purchase may fall outside the scope of typical consumer transactions", and they refused to help fix the issue.
They told me I should contact amazon directly for "assistance with resolving the issue related to the code".
I contacted amazon but obviously they can not help me with the code thats inside the packaging and as I expected amazon just told me to return it for a full refund if the manufacturer is refusing to help.
I googled about this and found a reddit thread with people who had the same experience with them. Apparently what happened is that they also have another product that grants you the prickly axe pickaxe code, and what they had done is they mixed up the codes between products due to their incompetence and now they're just scamming people who are expecting one fortnite item when in fact they get something completely different.

Ordered a PS4 control pad

Ordered a PS4 control pad. Had issues with the buttons within the 2 year warranty period. I contacted their support. They told me that they don't make PS4 control pads anymore but I can choose another control pad for a different console. I don't own any other consoles. My consumer rights state that I can get a like for like replacement, if not a partial refund. I requested the partial refund and they refused. My only option now is to take them to small claims court. These control pads ain't cheap.

We have been through 20 PowerA controllers in 3 years!

We have a family of 4, the amount of PowerA controllers we have gone through in three years because of analog sticks developing faults, broken buttons or crazily over sensitive buttons or the wire to the crappy usb-c connector starts to lose connection randomly is ridiculous! They are total garbage! You can tell they are cheaply made Chinese garbage! I have never had such bad luck with a controller before! Controllers have been around since the Amstrad(it's very old tech now), YET for some reason PowerA seem to have the knack of making one that breaks if you even breathe on it in the wrong direction!!! Unfortunately we don`t seem to have any alternative on the PC, so have to keep replacing them every 3 months!

Customer Service Awful

If your controller has issues, you are going to have a bad time.

The Customer Service representative was awful. I had to explain my situation multiple times and once they learn that my product was out of warranty, they refused to help me any further with my query eventhough I explained that I did not want a replacement. Only information on where to buy a replacement part.

2 controllers i have bought from PowerA... one from TESCO (broken before even unboxed)
one from AMAZON (broken before even unboxed)

I AM NEVER BUYING ONE OF YOUR PRODUCTS AGAIN. you can't blame logistics this time... bought from 2 different places 2 years apart, 2 different models... BOTH BROKEN BEFORE I EVEN GOT THEM OUT OF THE BOX. (i plug them in and they are just NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE)

avoid this manufacturer at all costs. (THEY ARE ENDORSED BY MICROSOFT BY THE WAY, OR AT LEAST BY XBOX)
