I did a lot of research before purchasing my first PowerA Spectra Infinity Xbox controller from Amazon. I specifically wanted a wired controller so that I'd always have one I didn't have to worry about charging or keeping batteries in it, but one that felt genuine or close enough to genuine that my hands couldn't really tell the difference. Enter, the PowerA Spectra Infinity RGB Xbox Controller! I won't waste your time with details to this aspect here on TrustPilot, as that isn't the main purpose, but I need to speak on the warranty process. Let me state that I have always been in customer service, my entire adult life, and have been in an Operations Manager role with a Telecommuncations center supporting technical assistance for vehicle dealerships across North America, since 2009 so customer service has inherently become my passion at a young age...I have a sufficient background in customer resolution situations to speak on customer service, in regard to how a company handles business, once I go through the process myself at that business one time. For PowerA as a company, as long as you as the customer maintains a business professional mode of conduct to begin with, you follow the warranty process (which is extremely easy on their website), and provide the required material as related to your request, I can't make sense as to how you could think that PowerA is anything but honest, welcoming, and excelling at following through on their warranties. My entire process was extremely easy and fast, going from scratch to having the controller at my doorstep in a matter of literally a couple day! I think I opened my warranty request on a Friday or Saturday and received my replacement device on the following Wednesday! PowerA will ALWAYS get my business and my full recommendation to others every single chance I get to do it. They make excellent products, in which they are willing to offer great warranty coverage as well as being able to confidently say they honor & fulfill their stated warranties with no questions asked, maintaining a smile and proper customer service etiquette across the board! Remember, we as consumers are very quick to point out flaws in a process when ii doesn't go perfectly, even if we were the cause of the imperfection ourselves! There are many factors, including the logistical side of things, that are out of everyone's controll on both sides of this, but often times a consumer will still blame the product company for things such as logistical complications even when logistics are most often outsourced to a third party company. Keep a positive mindset, treat others as you wish to be treat, and fulfill your end of the process and you will have ZERO issues if you ever need to go through the warranty process with PowerA.
I bought a Nintendo Switch bundle from Costco that included a PowerA Enhanced wireless controller. After about 15 months of light use, the PowerA now has a stick drift so horrendous that makes it useless. I contacted PowerA to use the warranty and was told that a replacement will be shipped via Fedex with tracking. It's been more than a month now and I'm still waiting.
I have had my controlled for a year and a half, just a few days ago the left trigger stopped registering inputs and I could hear a rattling noise in it. I used a screwdriver to open it up and see if the plastic arm was disconnected and an easy fix but it was broken clean off. I sent pictures to customer support and the receipt and they refused to honor the warranty because by opening the controller I "tampered" with it and voided the warranty. They admitted they understood that I would not have opened the controller if it didn't break nor would I have done so if I knew it voided the warranty but still they refused to help my case and recited their fanatical devotion to their warranty policy. Rigid, inflexible and not a company I will purchase from again.
EDIT:
They were understanding and honored their warranty policy. My controller has been replaced.

DO NOT BUY A POWERA CONROLLER!!! Ive bought 3 controllers this past 2 years from power A and every single one has broken within a few weeks. All have a broken thumstick that make thme almost unusable, two also have broken leads. I barely use controller as i play PC so maybe once a week id have used the controllers so i can only imagine how quickly the controllers would break if i was a console player

I don't usually review products I buy. But this time I felt obligated. I've known consoles since I was little, I've used Master System controls, Genesis/Mega Drive, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Playstation, low quality PC controllers, Nintendo Switch. Of all these experiences, I can say without error: this Power A controller is the worst I've ever had. It simply has a predetermined lifespan of 6 months. And I don't even play that much. I only play on the weekends with my 11 year old son, because I don't want him to play video games all the time. Even so, it wasn't enough for this controller to handle. The problem it presents is the drift in the analog. I made the mistake of buying this controller twice. The first time lasted 6 months. Before this first controller broke, I had purchased a second controller. The second controller barely arrived and there was already a problem with the USB wire (very loose). I ended up using the USB cable from the first controller to connect the second controller and play with this one. As the first control was under warranty, I complained to the company and they sent me a replacement controller. To my surprise, when I received the replacement controller for the first controller (first purchase) the second controller (second purchase) was already presenting the same "drift" problem. The replacement controller only lasted 4 months and started to present the same "drift" problem. As the second controller was under warranty (second purchase), I decided to complain to the company again. This time they decided to make my experience the worst possible. Suddenly they found a "problem with my address" that did not allow a new controller to be sent, in addition to all the controller options being surprisingly "out of stock" (when they are available for purchase in the online store). So for me it was clear that the profit with this controller is in the "Large quantity sold (due to the lower price) (-) the small quantity replaced due to problems (few complaints or "problems with address")".
Never again for me.

Back in 2020-2021 i ordered a controller because my main one broke and the damn controller never came. I tried contacting them multiple times and guess what! they never responded. L company :/ (I tried signing in recently and they said my account has been moved?? and they'd send me a email but they NEVER did lmfao)
They expect the customer to save a receipt from a year ago or more when their terrible controllers break. They don't let you send in the defective one and fix it/replace it unless you thought to keep your $50 receipt from years ago. My wireless controllers stopped working for no reason. The controller was adulted own and kept in great shape and was lightly used. They won't help me because they expect me to find a receipt from a year ago at a Walmart that was 1000 miles away from where I live now.
I bought a controller for my husband as one of his Christmas gifts to play a mobile game. We didn’t realize we couldn’t play the game until after we received it and it has been an absolute headache trying to get a refund.
I contacted them the day it was delivered to initiate a return. It took them days to approve the return and give me a return reference number. I then had to pay for return shipping that had a tracking number (UPS) as they threatened they could do nothing if the product was lost in the mail. I obliged and took the item to UPS and got both a tracking number and insurance on the package.
I provided them the tracking number same day. Keep in mind the address I was given by customer service is not listed on their website or anywhere on the internet so I wanted confirmation from them that they received it. It was delivered to them on 01/02 and I have sent a message or called them every single day to get a response.
I’ve tried the contact us. I’ve tried their Facebook messages. I’ve been leaving comments on all their Facebook posts trying to get a response. I called their customer service number, listed NO WHERE on their site and had to get it from the main company, and have left multiple voicemails. I’ve gotten no response since the initial correspondence.
I’m on hold now trying to get a response. They have the item I bought and have now spent $130 on it; I have nothing. This is such a scam of a company. They are not BBB certified so you can’t make a claim there. I made the mistake of buying from them and now I’m paying the price. Don’t make my mistake and purchase whatever it is you want from a reputable seller and NOT PowerA; I cannot reiterate that enough.
Here is their direct customer service number for future reference: 866-308-4031.
Update 01/23/24: I decided to get my credit card company involved as well as report them to their parent company through BBB. PowerA is not BBB backed but their parent company, ACCO Brands, is. I got my refund but it was NOT through PowerA. As far as they’re concerned, they still have my item and still haven’t communicated anything to me regarding receiving it, giving a refund, or any type of issue that would’ve prevented me from getting a refund.
I replaced one xbox one controller with Power A which was a very difficult process as they offer zero support or contact information. Apparently this company has no accountability. The replacement then failed in the exact same way as the first. This controller was treated like the Crown Jewels, carefully handled, never abused and only had several months of gameplay.
The point of failure is at the left stick down click (to run in most FPSs)
I got 4 controllers in like 5 months 2 buyed and 2 from warrenty the first one i buyed had stickdrift on the aim stick and the back paddel broke in a couple of days i get a new one from warrenty when i recieve it in litarly one day i got stickdrift again but in both stick and the left stick was so broken that when you push in a direction it stays like that after i got the 3rd that controller had WORSE stickdrift then the others and a audio problem so oké then my 4th 1 came in and both sticks have heavy drift in two days what is even crazyer that the 4th controller also have heavy trigger pull not like the same 3rd so much that my finger hurts in a hour the other same controller als smooth triggers i am very upset by this company!!!!!
Tried calling them but no one answered and the automated phone service said no one was available which I know was BS(this was at 10:30 in the morning)
I have a Moga xp7x, stopped working in 3 months.
contacted powerA and they told me they will send me a replacement, it's been two months of waiting and I also tried to contact them again but they are ignoring my emails.
never going to buy from them.
Shoddy products and even shoddier customer service!!
I have a PowerA Fusion Controller for Nintendo Switch that has stopped working. I have put this down to a battery issue so I emailed PowerA just asking if i could BUY a new battery or if they knew where I could get a replacement...
Despite repeated emails to them i have received absolutely NO response!!!
What a useless company!
The enhanced controller broke three times, after being replaced twice in just under a year. Then, PowerA would not honour their 2 year guarantee, saying they've fulfilled their guarantee. Falsely advertising a 2 year guarantee for their defective product. First the RB button snapped, next one started turning right as you move straight and then the last one had sporadic movement (mostly none movement) of diagonal-rights on left stick.
I purchased a power a wired remote control for my xbox one buti had no clue that it was broken on the inside, now I can no longer play my xbox, due to being sold a bad remote
Extremely bad customer service wasted money
Have had 3 of their controllers in the last year, all have broken. Customer Service is awful. If they put as much effort into the quality of their products as they do trying to get out of helping people they could be amazing! Unfortunately no, where PowerA are concerned the customer is never right. Will never buy, reccomend or use a product from this company again.
