Scammers! They have now changed their name to UK Service Plan and are requesting upfront payment for a new 3-year appliance-insurance policy when the old one was supposed to be valid until 2023.

A Complete Scam

Had a phone call from this company saying that my washing machine warranty had run out on that day and he offered a 3 year insurance policy against breakdown for £195. I asked him to confirm details by email but he said they only did paperwork after purchase. I asked him for the company phone number and he said 0333 009 0845. ( he told me he was working from home and I noted it was 01273082168) I told him we had a problem with wet clothes after a spin and he suggested checking the back pipe. In fact the warranty had run out many years ago and not to make the offer in writing was suspicious. The 01273 number is a Brighton number rated at DANGEROUS. I told him I would think about it and he said he would call back next week.
So we checked the pipe and it was straight. We solved the problem by other means.
In the meantime I checked the reviews on Trustpilot. The stories told were all of scams and fraud so when Michael called back I told him. He dismissed the 43 reviews as a small number compared to all their hundreds of satisfied customers. I recorded the conversation, did not buy his insurance and told him I would pass on my experience to as many others as I could including Trading Standards, Watchdog etc.

Awful company

Awful company. Called my 86 year old vulnerable father and took £468 for a fridge freezer and microwave cover from his card. They then called him again and charged £258 for a tumble dryer that he doesn’t even possess. Will take this further.

My grandma has been scammed £199 for…

My grandma has been scammed £199 for 'insurance of washing machine' for 3 years. Have called today to cancel - they've said will refund but I don't believe this is the case. He did not ask any security questions, I didn't provide policy number as documents never arrived, I did this on my grandma's behalf and they did not ask any questions. Screams fraud. Will call up the bank to get credit card cancelled.

I got a call in March saying my sky…

I got a call in March saying my sky products were due for renewal I never thought anything about it and paid them £99 . A few days later I realised I didn't have insurance and looked back and never paid them previously. I have emailed them 3 times, requested as call back twice, wrote to them and rang them but after waiting 10 minutes the phone went dead. Lo and behold they have just rung me stating my washing machine insurance had run out!!! Again not got it with them and when I asked about my refund he just said abruptly they would look into it. I have blocked their number now but don't deal with this company.

Not Good Friday this year for Mum

On Good Friday 10 April “Martin” rang my mum and said two policies were due for renewal that very day. For a fridge freezer and a cooker. He also mentioned a dishwasher. My mother’s Lloyd’s card was charged £695 overnight. Lloyd’s are treating £95 charged in March and £695 in April as fraud. My mum has a baby belling no dishwasher or fridge freezer. Do not trust this company

After a phone call from this company…

After a phone call from this company saying that my washing machine insurance was due for renewal, I assumed that it was from my existing insurance company.
I agreed the renewal, but when I received the paperwork a few days later I realised that it was from a different company, I contacted my insurers and was informed that I still had 6 months left on my policy.
After numerous phone calls and arguments I received my money back after 56 days.
This firm are just after your money DON'T USE THEM.
I would love to know how they got my information don't trust them.

Absolute crooks stealing from elderly

Absolute crooks stealing from elderly vulnerable people. My aunt has Alzheimers, they called her in Feb 2020 and charged her £299 for 3 years white goods cover that she does not need. I then called and informed them she is vulnerable and they stated they would refund this. Then to make matters worse before the monies were refunded they called back in April and mis-sold to her again! At least this time we managed to stop the payment via the fraud dept with her credit card. This is during the lock down so we can’t be with my aunt as much as we would like, to protect her from Covid 19. Everyone who works here should be ashamed of themselves as they steal from the elderly and vulnerable. After another call to complain PProtect then refunded my aunt the original £299 charged. The guy on the phone was very unhelpful and did not even apologise but he did get the money refunded.

Unscrupulous people preying on the old and vunerable.

Currently on the phone to the bank as my elderly father has been conned out of £89.00 - he also is 86 with dementia. I have called and been told they will cancel but it seems like all the above money will not be forthcoming unless the bank can get it back.

This people should be ashamed of themselves.

Warn your elderly relatives

The box I am typing in says give an honest review and help others. Well I'd like to think that "others" will see these and warn their elderly relatatives about this company. They persuaded my 94 year old dad that some of his appliances needed insurance renewing. £154 which was for an appliance too old for them to cover!. Really upset my dad thinking he had been scammed. He rang to cancel , they were very verbally obliging. Told it would take about two weeks to reimburse. I have emailed twice, not even had an automatic reply. Well over a month now. No response, no money.PLEASE AVOID

I used to work for Premier Protect 365…

I used to work for Premier Protect 365 at their Manchester office between July and September 2019.
To be fair to the company, they do offer a legitimate product and it's definitely not a scam, the warranties for white goods or Sky are genuine enough, and if you did decide to take one out, you would be covered for upto three years.
The reason I left the company was because the customer data we were using was mainly focused at elderly and vulnerable people, and I found it difficult to take money from someone who is 90 years old and trying to sell a three year policy to them.
How many pensioners of that age group would want one anyway and have over £200 spare to pay all at once ?
I was told to be ruthless on the phone and not worry about it, but I just couldn't carry on so I left the company in mid September.
Such a shame because their office is beautiful and the pay was decent and the morale in the office was good as well.
Unless they changed their customer data to a lot younger or at least a mixed age group, then there's no way I would want to go back if it was offered.

Fraudsters

Fraudsters. Took £266 from my 92 year old Mothers bank account. Many phone calls later the line goes dead when I now call- I think they block persistent callers. Been promised several times that money has been transferred after cancellation within the designated period. It's never arrived. I would give them minus 100 but seems the lowest I can give ia one star.

A scam

They rang to say my washing machine warranty was up for renewal. Checked, and it was another company and not up for renewal. Forced to block my debit card. Not impressed.
