I was subscribing to Premier Sports

I was subscribing to Premier Sports, but could not watch it on my television. Over the last few weeks, I have tried to contact Premier on my computer about the problem, but failed miserably.
Today I telephoned instead and spoke to Kiara, a very polite lady, who sorted the whole thing out for me in about 10 minutes flat. The service was PERFECT.

Refund eventually issued — but only after a fight

I cancelled my Premier Sports subscription on 30 April, 8 days into my first billing period and well within the 14-day statutory cooling-off period. Despite this, I was charged a full extra month and met with a series of deflecting responses that ignored my legal arguments entirely.

It was only after I cited their own Terms & Conditions, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 that they called me and agreed to issue a refund.

The refund has now been received, which I appreciate. But no customer should have to go to these lengths to enforce their basic statutory rights. The cancellation process is opaque, the customer service responses were evasive, and I received no confirmation email at any stage of the cancellation.

Proceed with caution if you ever need to cancel.

Watch out when cancelling

I was disappointed to discover that cancelling still required payment for the following month due to the terms and conditions. It felt like a frustrating surprise, so I’d recommend checking the cancellation policy closely before joining. I cancelled today 21st May and will be charged 21st June for the month of July. I want to stop today and I'm happy to pay the rest of this month but paying for the month after that seems 'nasty' and money-grabbing.

My payment method had failed

My payment method had failed as I'd updated my credit card. A quick call to the support number got me back on track. The support assistant was helpful, polite and friendly.
