Primera Air & STN Cleaners Steal Flyers' Clothing

Malaga-Stansted flight left behind small but valuable item of clothing. Reported to two lost-item sites but it was never handed-in by the THIEVING Primera Air & its CLEANING COMPANY.

Seats ROCK-HARD for 3 hours & don't recline. Short-haul passengers in Europe are just CATTLE. Fly British Airways for less by booking in advance.

delayed flight- canceled flight- delayed again canceled again and then no refund!

I was pretty patient, I I thought to give them a chance because it is a new airline. here comes the drama! I bought two round flights from Newark EWR to London STN for April 22nd of 2018, the flight supposed to be at 10:50 pm, then at 3:26 pm of the 22nd I recieve a text that said that the flight was delayed for technical reasons, when we arrive to the airport first it was like a phanthom airline because any of the EWR staff know the airline there was anybody to told us about the delayed, then the airline staff appeared and told us that it was a little delayed that we will be leaving at 13:00 in the 23rd, they give us some food bouchers, a hotel nigth and dinner. by that time we already lost a lot of money for things that we had already paid in london.
Then at 2 am I recieve another email that said that the fligth was canceled and they give us three options:

1. get a refound
2. fligth with Norwegian at 12:45 or at 23 h in JFK
3. a flight with them the 23rd at 22:50

I reply the email to tell them that we want the 12:45 flight with Norwegian, but an hour later and stil no confirmation or answer.

we went then to the airport because the line of the custumer service was obsolate, in the airport still it was noone to help. I call the custumer service from the airport and after an hour I was abble to talk with someone, the lady told me that they did not have the confirmation with Norwegian that she can offer me a flight with them at 22:50 that same day, I said that I was ok because I had the hope that this time it would be real.

Then at 11:50 they send me another text this time saying that my flight on april 23rd was delayed. teen minutes later at 12:00 they send me the confirmation for the Norwegian flight in JFK when I was in EWR there is no way possible to arrive to that airport and pass security in 45 minutes.

by this time they did not answered any emails andy phonecalls anything. I have to call my insurance to try to reach them! I was two hours in the line with a transmition from my insurence and waiting to have any response.

Then in the airport we found the manager and he told us that he will be trying to put us in a differnt flight, after 20 min later he told us that there was only one sit and it was for another passenger in the same situation that us. We were desperated at that time and ask him to try with another airline, he told us that he will be trying with his team that they have 800 E for a different fligth but there was nothing. then we search and found another flight in the same airport under the 800, but the he told us that the airline can not use their credit card with this airline because the payment needs to be from the passengers, BUT he told us that we could bougth the flight and then get a refound in like 5 or 6 days.

Silly me on believe them! after buying the flight the 23rd passengers start to arrive and some girl told me that she already have the cancelation email. So they will be lying the custumers again telling them that the flight was delayed and they canceled and doing the same thing that they did to us.

Arriving to London I send them the whole case to their customer service and claims and they apologized and told me that they would give us a refund and a compensation for all the trouble ask me for the account numer, I sended everything on April 23rd then they replyed and told me that I will be recieving my money in four weeks!

Its been more than 8 and still any money! I dont belive that my bank will be this patient to recieve the money that I spend in another flight because of they bad service of PRIMERA AIR !

Afther this whole travesy I was affraid in London that this thing happened again! I was hopping to talk with someone of the airline but they subcontract other airlines to do all the check in! so again no one to talk!

Tthe flight was good the airplane was new and the service was great the only thing is that they dont five you anything during the flight but all the food that they sell is very affordable.

Arriving to NWR we saw the manager the one that told us that we will be having a refound and told us I´m so sorry guys I will reach them for you! I understand that it is not the fault of the employees but they shouldn´t lie the custumers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I forgot to mention that they claims department has no phone! and if you call to the customer service to complain first it will take you forever and then they will told you that they can not do anything for you that you should be reaching claims by email!

The past 10 emails thay I send them the answer was an automatic reply telling that they are full and you will be getting and answer in no more that 30 work days.

if they paid I will let you know!

Had a good experience contrary to expectations.

Was in two minds about booking with Primera due to the generally negative feedback. Went ahead anyway as the price was so good (£290 per return flight Birmingham to New York).
Overall had a good experience - check in Birmingham was great and I believe as we had my elderly mother us we were assigned seats near to the main exit on the plane which was great for boarding and getting off. Flights were more or less on time both ways (although security at Newark took forever...) Check in at Newark on the return not quite such good service with a bit of an aggressive undertone from the woman at the check in desk that seems prevalent at that airport. (Apparently staff at the check in desks are not actually Primera employees but are contracted by the airline.)
Plane was clean and was happy for it to be no frills (e.g.didn't take the meal option (extra cost) but took on some nice food from Waitrose before the flight), to and pay for the odd cup of tea, for the good ticket price. Service was fine.
I also contacted Primera by email about taking an instrument on the plane and got a polite, friendly and timely response to my queries. Ended up posting it as it was a fair bit cheaper, but the option was there online in my booking to add it as 'sports equipment'. Maybe Primera should add a musical instrument option to avoid confusion and people having to ask about instruments.
Overall a good experience and a very competitive ticket price.

Customer Service Rep. mentioned a GUN

I wish I had the ability to provide Primera Air with a -3 star Review.
Before we begin, let’s please acknowledge the fact that I paid $1,300 for a RT ticket.

This has been the worst experience I’ve ever had within all components of what a flight is suppose to be. Let’s see where do we start.

Newark to Paris
You are unable to Self check in, the airline representatives are as slow as can be and when I was in the process of checking in they told me I needed to pay $90 bag fee solely due to the fact that I was 1.5 kilos over their max of 10kg.

The flight was delayed for 90 minutes and not a single notice was given. Once we were ready to start boarding. The boarding process was a total disaster, no management, organization, or structure. It was the equivalent of shopping for a 38” TV on Black Friday.

When on-board, the seats do not recline, you must pay $3-6 for water, soda, coffee. Which is absolutely ridiculous.

On my return flight...I already knew what to expect so I tried to come as prepared as possible. However, prior to coming to the airport I figured I’d call the customer service line in hopes of clarifying and avoiding having to pay another $90 for being overweight by 2 kilos. The customer representative was extremely rude, NOT Helpful and told me the reason they do not bend their policy towards max. Capacity (reminder i was 2 kilos over weight!!) OR waiver the fees towards the customer is because “rules are rules and the same way we wouldn’t allow you to bring a GUN on board the plane...we cannot allow you to bring a carry on over 10kg”

THIS IS THE MOST PERPLEXING METAPHOR IVE HEARD AND COMPELTELY UNCALLED FOR!!

Now we get to the airport, findmyself experiecing all the same issues experienced on the way to Paris BUT NOW WE’VE BEEN ON THE NEWARK RUNWAY FOR OVER 90 MINS AND COUNTING.

THIS AIRLINE IS AN ABSOLUTELY NIGHTMARE. PLEASE DO NOT FLY PRIMERA AIR BY ANY CONDITIONS

Avoid this airline like the plague!!!

We first boarded the flight From NEWARK TO BIRMINGHAM 18/6/18, which was already running an hour late due to 'checks', which were obviously not carried out correctly or effectively, as we had to then make an emergency landing almost 40 minutes later due to the flaps not working at all. Having travelled numerous times via many domestic and international airlines I have never experienced a flight this traumatising. However, prior to the emergency landing the pilot seemed incredibly nonchalant stating that it is a minor issue and would take a mere 20 minutes to fix, little did we know that this flight would be delayed by almost 40 hours overall. Overall, the airline also failed to meet its obligations under EU rules and did not provide me with the assistance and basic needs, it should have such as accommodation and beverages. The little food that was provided was first dropped by a cabin member onto the ground outside, and then picked up, and this was found to not be enough, as it amounted to feed almost a third of the total of passengers.

Furthermore, as we were not provided an accommodation and we were left to our own devices, passengers were left no choice but to lie down on the airport ground out of discomfort, waiting through the night hoping for an impending announcement that we would board soon; that was insinuated and tailgated throughout via the speakers with the staff continually stating 'in 20 minutes we will make an announcement' followed by 'more time is needed'. It has been suggested by many passengers that through doing this throughout the night the airline was avoiding paying for accommodation- as it would be too late.

The following morning, with no sleep, out of stress and anguish we had found the flight departure time to keep changing, along with this we also received several emails from the company announcing these, which were found to not be consistent at all. Whilst the first one had announced the time of departure to be 17.00pm due to repairs to the aircraft. This email was then followed by an announcement that after several attempts to fix the aircraft it was not possible and that the flight was cancelled. A few minutes after this, we then received an email to disregard the previous email, and that the flight would still be departing at 21.00pm that night.
At one point someone with a recorded video to proved; which consists of the pilot stating that this aircraft itself was to be decommissioned in two days as it was deemed unsafe to fly. Upon this experience, I felt that I had no choice but to book a flight with a different airline and airport; for the fear of my own safety and life, the desperation to avoid sleeping on the airport floor once again, and to get back to my profession.
They have not acknowledged my email in regards to compensation and had even hung up on me when i called. Absolutely disgraceful!!!!

In August 2017 our flight was delayed…

In August 2017 our flight was delayed on our way home from Barcelona, and afterwards we have not received any compensation.
They have got all the information they have required and in December we were told that it could take up to 15 weeks before paying.
We have repeatedly asked for reply subsequently and no later than March. Last request they have not answered, and now it is June 21st on the calendar!

I would strongly advise NOT to use Primera Air as their approach to the concept of customer service and dialogue is not present.

Horrible customer service

Horrible customer service, no way to contact them, flight from NYC to Paris was cancelled at 1.30 am, 2h30 after supposed departure, there was no one from the company present in the airport to help with accomodation, it was a total chaos.
20 days after still getting automated emails, no one is picking up the phone nor caring about responding to emails.
Will never ever fly again.

Think Ryan Air, just Long haul.

Flew to Toronto from Stansted. Check-in was fine, with additional staff checking that we had the Canada Esta Visa permit. As we had booked Comfort there were no issues with luggage and hand luggage was not weighed. We knew it was no frills, but website should make clear there is no blanket, pillow or entertainment. Seats did recline a little. Think Ryan Air- just long distance. It is CHEAP, so you get what you pay for!!! Plane arrived 1 hour early.
BUT..,,.
return leg was cancelled about 10 hours before departure- got email- due to operational issues. Rebooked with Air Canada as we were entitled to. Emailed them 5 days ago, and still waiting for a reply- not even an acknowledgement. Rang them yesterday, got through after 30
mins and was told they would refund the actual fare straight away, but as he worked in a different department he couldn’t acces my email re compensation. Await this space.
Conclusion: you get what you pay for!

My bike was stolen on vacation

My bike was stolen on vacation. Airline reps states that baggage fees are unrefundar. Seats do not recline and I wasn’t even offered to water on a 7 hour flight. I get it’s a budget airline but this is far worse than “budget”.

I was so nervous to fly Primera after…

I was so nervous to fly Primera after reading the reviews, but I had a great experience with Primera and for an even better cost. I am wondering if most of these reviews are not for international, which is what we flew. They WILL weigh your hand luggage. Ours was over the posted weight, so we had to pay for it. That's on us but we were able to rearrange some things and make it work on the return flight to avoid that. The plane was not a Primera plane, so it did have a different seating arrangement than online, but still had screens and outlets. We did not pay for seats and sat next to each other both ways. The flight attendants were friendly but not super attentive (not constantly roaming the aisles, asking about drinks or snacks or trash). Our luggage arrived fine in both cities. Was it the most comfortable flight we could have had? no. Would I do it again? for that price-- definitely.

This airline is a joke

This airline is a joke! Complete shambles at check in and boarding gate, nobody knew where to go. The allocated seat I paid for (window, number 22), I didn't receive, instead I got an aisle seat at the very rear, so had staff bumping into me all the time and them shouting amongst themselves whilst everyone was trying to sleep. Because of the seat mess up, my meal was also messed up, not sure what the brown slush was, looked like something you'd find in the loo! Was disgusting. Also forgot my hot drink, and after asking 3 times for it, I gave up. Air hostess rammed her cart into the lady in front of me head whilst she was sleeping. They then forgot the landing cards so we had to wait on the plane 30 mins before we were allowed off. Just seemed to be one thing after another with them. Also, the air hostess admitted primera air are useless, she also said she didn't feel safe on the plane!!!
