Great Experience
I have been using Pro-Tyre Cheltenham for many years and have always received excelled service from the team.
I recently took my car in for an MOT. The communication was clear and the process made simple. PT kept to the agreed time slots. They explained the outcome of the test and gave me helpful advice.
The waiting area was clean, welcoming and well stocked with drinks if you want to wait.
Very happy with service provided, would happily recommend the business.

Super helpful service from ProTyre
Courteous and most helpful service from Manager Mark Baker yesterday and this morning. I'm a driving instructor who needed a replacement tyre at very short notice for a driving test at 11am this morning. Trust my car to have low profile 'special' tyres on 20" rims that no one seems to carry in stock. Damaged tyre was spotted at 4:30pm the evening before. I contacted several Cheltenham fitters with no luck before arriving at ProTyre. Mark said not to worry and ordered the replacement tyre to be delivered next morning i.e. today. "Come in at 8:30am and we'll have it sorted for you." And that's just what Mark and his team did. Thanks Mark. Great service. And my pupil passed first time with just two minor faults. What looked like a disaster turned into a good day.

Have to say had a great experience with pro-tyres from booking on-line, to being met by manager Mark and his most helpful team. Car booked in for 8.30 work started promptly while I waited, and completed with-in the time stated on-line., also have to comment on such a clean and tidy waiting area, most impressive and coffee available and offered.

Parts that don't last, use Halfords or specialist

I got in touch with Protyre as requested by them below. I then had to chase that to get a response. The call I got was short, sharp, and unhelpful: "yeah you'll have to pay for those anyway because they're past guarantee". This only added evidence to my suspicion they use parts that'll perish soon after the year is up. I urge everyone to avoid at all cost, it'll be cheaper in the long run! In contrast to other interactions, the person I just spoke to was not friendly. I've downgraded from two to one star because of this experience.

The folk here are very nice and approachable, but the parts they are using are evidently very poor. 18 months ago I had my track rod ends replaced by Protyre. This week, they were the cause of an MOT failure; one side a complete failure, one an advisory, so both realistically need replacing again to the tune of £400-500. Before then, the ends didn't need replacing for 18 years! This is just unacceptable and, in my view, evidence of cheap and substandard parts being used. For this reason, I would avoid at all costs if you have any repair work that needs doing and go to a specialist or Halfords. I have been into Protyre multiple times before for tyres, tracking and MOT, and they're always friendly and helpful. I likely won't return though and wouldn't recommend.

I booked an appointment for a tyre change x 2 and free tracking the appointment was at 1130 I arrived at 1115 I was told it would take an hour we didn’t get the car back until 1330 also the cleanliness of the toilet and waiting area left a lot to be desired on the plus side the staff were very good

I'm not happy
Protyre Cheltenham booked MOT 7/7. Went back 14/7 for disc brakes to be replaced. Manager absent. Young inexperienced, immature ( sighing and rolling eyes) male displayed incompetence, not knowing about authorization required for Arval Lease cars???. Mine is not their first one! Wasted a morning! Went back today 28/7 only to be told midway through the process that they discovered my vehicle has electronic disc brakes and they don't have the software downloaded for it. I must now go to a Nissan dealer. Another morning wasted when they could have done some forward research and thinking. How do they not know all this before hand, I ask you???
To top it all, no protective paper was put down in the foot well to protect my carpet and so now I have big black grease marks! I would not go back there with my next Arval Lease car, no thanks.

The price was good but the service was…
The price was good but the service was poor. I had an appointment for 1pm but no work was carried out on the car until about 1.40 because everyone was having lunch. Even after text many staff were wandering about with mugs of tea. There’s no point in having an appointment if it coincides with lunch or tea breaks. Must do better.
