Will not trust these people to work on my car again.
I took my car to the Hemel Hempstead branch for its annual service & MOT in February and was advised that it needed new brakes and fluid. I declined on the brakes and said I'd get some quotes. When I asked how urgent the fluid was they said it should be done now, so I accepted (£49.99).
I got some quotes for new brakes and chose a independent local garage to do the work about a week later, I told them the fluid had already been changed and was surprised to be told that the fluid I had definitely wasn't new.
I complained to Protyre and received an email saying my £49.99 would be refunded and asking me to confirm my original payment details. I confirmed and have chased up again since, but there has been no response at all.
I feel misled and ripped off.

Aircon regas
I took my van to Protyre for an Aircon regassed after purchasing a discounted voucher from Groupon. The staff were polite and friendly. I was offered an appointment within a few hours of contacting them to book. The task was completed with no dramas or upselling and the Aircon is now working really well, thankfully in the current heatwave temperatures. It was working beforehand, but as it had been nearly 5 years since it's last regas, it's not surprising that it is now so much better.

Wait for the discount email if you've been before
Easy to book online, but marketing send chase emails based on outdated data - offered me 20% off a day after I'd booked my MOT. Standard of MOT seems very variable a "clean pass" last year got 5 advisories this year on just 4k miles - and one advisory was a windscreen chip fixed before purchase 2 years ago. Arguably being done to the absolute letter, but I question who this benefits.
